I have called several times this year and someone picks up the phone right away. They have been friendly and have been able to answer my questions. Let’s hope it stays this way! 🙏🏻

Part of working in the Financial Aid office requires for you (staff) to answer questions and to help students to be able to understand the process. The attitude, the huffing & puffing coming from the work study student is unprofessional and rather childish. If doing your job is that much of a bother, Im sure a fast food chain would be more suitable :)

I understand the impact that the pandemic has had on everybody - this is why I submitted my financial needs analyses forms two months early. I have called back four times within that time span & they still havent been filled out - I ultimately missed the deadline for some scholarships which was very disappointing.

Doesn’t even deserve a one star. One of my scholarship checks was sent over in early December for spring semester. Said it would be processed Jan 3, called after that because it wasn’t done said Jan 29 it would be done, Didn’t happen call back said Feb 15 and the girl told me I never was told any of this info(: called back Feb 16 and now say there is an issue and assigned me to a director. How could they wait nearly 3 months to solve an issue. Honestly so pathetic and I would love to have a real explanation of why this office is absolutely terrible!

First of all they need to rework their hours as an office of this school. I am always on hold for far too long anytime I call them.Secondly they need to update how they notify students that they may have submitted documentation wrong, and also be more specific when illustrating how to fill out the documents that put holds on your account. Ive had to submit my documentation 4 times now and hopefully it will finally go through correctly.Absolutely unhelpful and needs restructuring. Please work on this NAU.

I always have to sit for a minimum of 45 minutes on hold before ever talking to a human being, and then when I finally get a hold of someone, they give me attitude about not having information they never provided me with, or are completely unable to solve my issue. Some of the workers have even dismissed my call before I have finished asking questions or solving my own problem. Its honestly mind-boggling how often they lose information or give me different answers between the many calls when they work for a department that does the same thing semester after semester after semester.

You are number 1 in queue 30 minutes later still number 1 in queue. This has happened everytime I used them so far and rarely does the person I get connected to actually stay with me, they usually just redirect me to someone else. The earliest someone answered the phone was 20 minutes in and they immediately hung up on me. Every other department at NAU has been amazing but I greatly dislike calling this department due to never being answered/tossed around between people.

Waited an hour to talk to somone, just to have the person not be able to answer a simple question. Then I had to wait 30min to talk to a supervisor.

Very fast responses... Only slow during peak hours of day.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the NAU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Theyre friendly, helpful and work hard to get as much financial assistance to NAU students as possible.

If 0 stars was possible this would be the place to get it : ) they lose absolutely everything and will say you never turned your forms in EVEN if you have proof. Nobody knows what theyre doing, its just miscommunication everywhere which is awful as this often negatively impacts students financial aid.

Takes weeks to process checks. They expect me to put $5-6K on a credit card so I don’t accrue late charges while they physically have my check.

So much miscommunication. Such a slow office and hard to get ahold of them. Unacceptable.

♥😂🤣😂I called you office to grapple with the headache 🤕of financial aid while on the phone on two separate occasions I spoke to two women who made the process easy . Sean and Courtney broke everything down idiot proof Lol. We had some laughs and cries and we laughed about how I broke my leg. Having people like this in your office makes the day go by quickly a puts a smile on your face and easy for me to pay to pay the bill . Lol . Its also nice to know that my daughter is going to go from one family to even a bigger family. Hear how the two of them speak highly about the school and their experience means a lot to me as a parent. Again thank you so much for all that you do and answering the 10 million questions I have .
