I have been enrolled at Empire Beauty for about a month now, and I have had nothing positive experiences so far. Starting from day 1, Jess from admissions made sure to made things quick, easy and exciting for me. They keep a strong line of communication with new and existing students, which I love. No question goes left unanswered, and I am more excited to get up in the morning than I ever was before I started here. If this industry is something you are serious about, invest in yourself and come to Empire Florence ❤️

It takes a while to get services done because you have to wait for consultations but it is cheap. Ask for senior student about to graduate for a more experience service.

Very easy to enroll. Jess answers her email and phone. She was there for me every step of the way.

I am a student at Empire Beauty School, and I absolutely love it there! I feel as if I have been taught everything I need to know very thoroughly. The staff is very helpful and I love all of my classmates! I wouldn’t want to go to school anywhere else!

I finished up my last few hundred hours here at Empire Beauty School- and I’m so glad I did. The educators and director, Ms. Mel, care so deeply about each individual student on and off the salon floor. Because I transferred to Empire a seasoned hair school student, I was welcomed to the salon floor with such encouragement from my new educators. Ms. Steph has greatly prepared me for my upcoming state board exam that will officially launch my career in this fabulous industry- is it too confident to say I know the 5 hour practical exam like the back of my hand? Thanks, Steph! If you’re thinking a career in cosmetology might be for you, look no farther than Empire. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my short stay and will most definitely be back to visit my friends.

My hair cut is simple so not too challenging for students. Plus easy to correct if something goes wrong. Good price. Instructors need to help students focus on the interaction with client than on just the quality of the hair cut.

I had the pleasure of attending empire beauty school as a full time student and graduated from here. I am now working at European wax center and I had the opportunity to come in and talk to fellow students about my experience in the work field after being a graduate! Absolutely love all of the educators and the head director of the school, all and all an awesome place to attend!

Amazing cosmotolgy school. Loved my time there. Amazing staff and students who have so much potential. Able to provide professional services for a fraction of salon prices.

I have attempted to really like this place but the customer service on top of the fact that no one give the same information when you ask questions has just made me realize I would rather drive the 30 minutes to Paul Mitchell and receive excellent customer service and not question what my hair is going to look like when I’m done. I came here with really long hair, all the way down to my butt, i asked them to cut it to right under my chest area, i asked for all one length. the lady said okay, i get my hair done and it’s right below the top of my shoulders and way shorter than expected, well at first i was like, you know what ? this doesn’t look bad ! and i was alright with it, then i get home and i’m got so i put my hair in a pony tail and all of my hair is uneven and some of it doesn’t fit in the pony tail ! mind that it should be able too ! i tried to put it in a bum and pieces are everywhere flying out ! i’m very upset with how this turned out and i do not recommend!!

I had a horrible experience. I drove from Cincinnati to go here because I thought it was good. First the instructor seem overwhelmed as it was a Saturday an there was a lot of people. But she was externally rude to the point that I was in tears about to leave. My 11 year old daughter was with me and she was upset at her actions as well. Roxy the student was nice and so I stayed. I wanted blond highlights. They told me to dye my hair back to red and come back on Wednesday to get highlights. So I came Wednesday for a different instructor to say to me Hello I thought you was going to say hello to me but I guess not!!! Then they told me they cant do the highlights. I was so upset that I just walked out. Now I paid 75.00 for something that I didnt even want and gave the student a 30.00 tip because I was going to get my nails and eyebrows waxed so she was going to do all. So long story short I drove there and back twice and had terrible service both times. I will never go there again!!! and I have been to hair schools before and had wonderful service. I do not understand why they have to be so rude and tell me one thing then another. So I now have to go somewhere and pay another 70 to get what I wanted in the first place. I should get my money back but I was offered a free service nice but I will never go back to that place again!!!!!! Update went to Supercuts the same day got the highlights they did a great job and it was cheaper than this school! Oh yeah and thanks Mel the director of the school for calling me back. Great customer service.

First of all as soon as I went through the door, it was very clean and very inviting. The stylist I had was Tabatha Cochran. She greeted me with a smile and asked how my day is going. I had a great experience at Empire Beauty School.

Our first time coming to this hair school. Demesha ( apologies on spelling ) did an awesome job ! She cut 13inchs off my 5 year old little girl. She was so patient and so sweet to her. You will do great in your future ! I advise to have patience because it is a hair School ! These one star reviews are sad, these ladies and gentlemen are going to school to learn, when you go you are taking a risk !

Attended from September 2017 to September 2019I started in September of 2017 and had an awesome director (Mel) and a set pre-salon teacher Ms.Jo. Shortly after enrolling there was a new director who honestly had no clue what the hell he was doing (if I’m being honest) and was just not fit for the position. As of about March 2018 Ms. Jo transferred to a different location and that’s where as I said before the roller coaster began. I had every single teacher in the building as we didn’t have a steady teacher . BUT LET ME BE CLEAR . THIS WAS AMAZING. I have learned so many techniques and different ways of doing simple things from ways to hold your hands to prevent arthritis (s/o to YV) to different ways to fill hair for a color (s/o to Steph, Lisa & YV) and the different ways to apply get to a nail ( s/o to Michele ). So please don’t take it as a “wow unsteady education”. Absolutely not. I have had the best education this school could provide I learned everything from everyone and I’m so grateful for it. Surprise Mel came back and as of September(ish) 2018 && we had a steady educator , Miss Cindy. I literally cannot begin to explain to you how amazing this woman is. I can tell you she is without a doubt the reason I have grown to love doing hair. She shared her passion about hair with me when I was on my last thread about to give up on cosmetology. She has been beyond expectations of a wonderful teacher. She’s like a school mom. She tells you she’s proud of you when you do a good job and she guides you in the right direction if you’re having some trouble. She has helped me grow and develop skills that are some you can’t learn anywhere else.So about my “overall experience “ at Empire... you get a questionnaire that says would you enroll at empire again? If you asked me this time last year “I’m not sure” would’ve been my answer. Today my response is , you get what you put into Empire and looking back on it I made my best friend here and have had the time of my life learning to do what I love. I would 100% absolutely do it all over again ❤️

I went here to get my hair, nails, and makeup done for prom and when I asked how long the wait is, the woman said Theres no way we can take anymore people today. Just no way. And that was it. They didnt take appointments for this, just walk-ins. And they closed at 2. Just not a friendly environment.

As a Veteran my friend and I get our hair done and his beard trimmed here. Weve always been treated with respect and they have great ideas with our cuts

It was great! My stylist did a wonderful job on my hair and eyebrows. She was fantastic! She made great conversation. It was a great experience.

Terrible service. I called ahead and asked how late they are open for services. I was told they had a speaker but i can come in at 730 for waxing. I came in and was rudely told they dont take appointments on Mondays. So i asked why would someone tell me at 5pm when i called i can come in 730? The instructor rudely told me they dont do any services monday evenings. A complete waste of my time and she couldnt have cared less.

They do good work every time I come here. The teachers are very professional, and the students are always friendly and knowledgeable.

These people will charge you thousand and thousands of dollars if you join their school and decide later that this is not for you even if your with them for less then a month they say you owe them over $4,000!!! What a rip off and a scam charging 18 year old girls money they dont have because they wanted to do something different with there lives... And yes they will charge you thousands of dollars even if you return all their belongings and they dont even have the nerve to tell you themselves they have an operator call and tell you instead of to your face or giving u an actual phone call. And then finally last but not least when u call to see why you owe them so much money they send u to voicemail and do not call back!
