My children have attended Magma Ranch for the past 6 years. The first two of my Magma Children are getting ready to graduate high school. Both of them are accepted to college/university and have scholarships. I attribute that to the fact that they received a wonderful base education at Magma Ranch. Each of my kids have had teachers that have always shown a concern and commitment for their education and well-being. In short...I love Magma Ranch K-8!

I have always been a huge fan of Magma Ranch, since we moved here 5 years ago. It hurts my heart to even THINK of leaving a 1 star review, much less actually doing it. With that being said, its necessary. The lack of accountability at this school is astounding. They always liked to blame it on Mr. Lopez (previous principal), but now that hes gone its just as bad if not worse.In my opinion, the problems stem from overcrowding in the classrooms, the school being underfunded, and the administration just not caring. Weve had good and bad teachers at Magma (3 kids, 5 years), but the bad outweigh the good and that is unfortunate.The bullying is out of control, and while bullying happens everywhere, the administration at Magma refuses to do anything about it. My special needs daughter was bullied relentlessly, told to kill herself, and called names to the point of her feeling suicidal at age 10! The staffs solution was to pair her up with a teacher all day. That was great until the bully group grew larger and larger and they waited until the teacher wasnt around to bully her some more. The administration tried to blame it on her for not being with her teacher! These were older kids bullying my daughter, telling her to KILL HERSELF, and the blame was being pointed to her. Thats not okay in any way, shape, or form. I went all the way to the school board with it before pulling my daughter out to homeschool her. It was a last resort but I cant have her coming home crying saying these kids said she should kill herself, because she doesnt understand... she takes it seriously and could actually do it. The thought of that is terrifying.The school needs a major overhaul!! Theyre failing all of the tests, some of the teachers are horrible (like I said, we had a few good ones too!), and the administration needs to be CLEANED OUT. 100% fresh start with admin that will actually CARE ABOUT KIDS!!

This school is a joke. I cannot stand the fake principle or assistant principle. They only care about their own kids. The staffs children bully and get away with so much. I wish I could give NO stars. DO NOT EVER SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!! I am willing to drive to Gilbert just to keep my children away from florence school district. I had 2 children in this school and wish i would have listened. The only positive is Mrs.Larson and Mrs. Van De Camp. The second grade teacher and sped teacher had done wonders with my special needs daughter And they are the ONLY reason my daughter was their until the school took my son out without telling me. And they want to come after your kids after you stand up for them but their little criminals can do no wrong. The administration is trash, pure and complete garbage. I really believed in the values of what they preach but this school is all talk and honestly I cant wait to see it closed down.

I absolutely love this school and so does all my children that have graduated thus far! Mr. Perez is a great Principal.

The school is great for children that have no learning problems. Unfortunately they ignore the children who are struggling and obviously need help. The teachers just give the child that is struggling a free grade and pushes them on to the next grade letting them fall further behind. All pleas to the school to help the child are ignored.

This public school has a lot of great features that other private schools dont have.

My children have been attending this School for almost a year. And, it has potential. I thought it would be great to go to a new school that I deemed to be more suitable for them. So, I thought.This comes with my impression of the school after visiting my childrens classes. And, also volunteering. I know the teachers are doing their best to teach. But, bullying, harassing is taking center stage. I have seen some of the most inappropriate behavior that I have never seen in my few years of substitute teaching, myself. I never thought I would hear, see such things.Students have no respect for adults. They dont even have respect for their teachers. Or, themselves. And, if I didnt know any better, I would have thought that it was the 17th century! Not the 21st century. There is so much culturally insensitivity that I have seen in one class than maybe my whole entire life. And, from students with the same Skin Tone as my daughters, just a different culture. 😯So, then I took my twins to the Book Fair at the library. I go to the librarian to pay for the books. All was nice until I see the nurse practitioner turn to her and say Love your nose. I wasnt sure what she meant. My daughter asked, and she responded with That is something that we like to say to one another. See, I am African-American, as well as my children, of course. Our noses look different. And, I love our Ethnic Noses. So, one would have to wonder What did they mean? So, I said, We love ours! That was very petty coming from a Caucasian to a Hispanic woman.And, if we are going to hurl Insults then lets address the epidemic of Obesity in this country. If you are in the healthcare industry, then lets practice some examples.....keep the weight down.So, I hope it gets better. Or, I will file a complaint. And, change schools. We can do better. All I want is for my children to be educated and treated equally. That isnt too much to ask, is it? Isnt this what we fought for in America? I will always be proud of my culture. Always.

Kids are being bully! Ive made calls to the office and they cant do anything then they say I have to call transportation , then I call transportation and they do not answer me and I leave a message with my phone number for them to call me back and nothing. Its a very bad school. Ill post a pic of my sons eye how bad it looks since yesterday a stupid kid hit him right in his eye. I am veryyy, veryyy disappointed with this bad school where no one do anything to stop kids being bully!

I attended this school for three years(5th-8th grade) and I loved it, the teachers were incredibly caring and they help you if youre struggling, if youre having an issue with another classmate they actually did stuff to handle the situation

I was in love with magma ranch school! My teacher was Mrs. Veramontes. Best teacher ever♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!
