LILA has an incredible IB immersion educational program. We love the support given and the drive for excellence. They’re always striving to provide the best for the students and create a safe learning environment. On top of that young lives are being exposed to multicultural influences! Amazing place.

Phenomenal school! My kids have attended since Kinder Prep (Preschool), my oldest is now in 8th Grade and looking forward to continuing through High School Graduation - I highly recommend and love all the enrichment the school has brought to my children - not only from an immersion standpoint, but as well as an International Baccalaureate Program school. The teachings my children receive, from not only a MN State standpoint, but that of a Globalized World are lessons that most children dont receive in a traditional school setting.

All four of my children have attended this school. Amazing whole child, worldview development. Great community. Exceptional education.

We LOVE LILA. We currently have 4 kids enrolled, our oldest is in 9th grade at the upper school, and our youngest is in 1st grade at the main campus! We’ve also sent them to the kinder prep program! You will not be disappointed in sending your kids to an immersion school, especially LILA, and the IB program to boot!!

LILA has been an amazing experience for both my girls that attend the school. I currently have a 5th grader and a 1st grader. The teachers have been great and havent had a teacher I wish they never had. There is great communication between the teacher/parent and my kids love the school. I highly recommend LILA to any person wanting to go to an IB school and learn another language. I remember pre-k - I was intimidated at first but once the homework started to come in, I wasnt anymore. They have English on pages for parents to help. These kiddos are sponges and learn the language so fast. You wont regret enrolling your kids at LILA. LILA has been a second family to us.

I love this school personally, but the staff needs to learn how to handle mental health. I have had bad experiences with crying. but other than that, lots of teachers are great. i learn very well, and have been going for years. Good kids, good staff, and a nice building! The upper school has a very nice building, and design. overall, LILA is a good school, and is quite underrated.

I was really hesitant about a full language immersion school, but I have been pleasantly surprised in every way. Speaking with parents of children at other schools (immersion included), I know I made your right decision.

We love our time at LILA! The cumminity feel is built into every interaction and the partnership from educators and staff is abundant. Our children are thriving with the IB model and the transitions and communication over the past year of COVID has been exceptional. Theres something so special about seeing your child communicate in another language but we say that we came for the immersion and stayed for the IB! So lucky to have that combo close to home.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable teachers. The administration is always willing to listen and to act on concerns, ideas and recommendations.If you want to have well-rounded children, with global exposure and fluency in another language by the age of 12, send them here.I cannot speak more highly of LILA

Living next door to Lakes international for years has been a very unpleasant experience. With the increased noise and traffic in our neighborhood it has really been frustrating. Concerns about how to improve the situation falls on deaf ears.

We LOVE everything about this school. From the teachers and faculty, to the curriculum. They are definitely turning out globally conscious students that already have an advantage in the workplace being bilingual! We are so proud of our hidden gem here in Forest Lake!

Learning a second language will be such a big plus for these kids in their futures when looking for jobs, promotions, or maybe even helping someone in need.

I think this is a great school for kids my daughter has been going here for quite some time now and she seems to like it very much.

Both of my children studied at LILA through 6th grade (as far as you could go back then) and it launched their academic success and their global-mindedness. Its a caring, inclusive, and innovative school. When we started at LILA in 2004, only Spanish immersion was offered. If we had the Chinese option then, we would have taken it! Why? LILAs expert language instruction guides students through learning Chinese -- reading, writing characters, and speaking the language. Research shows learning a third language and the next language after that is progressively easier. So, if my kids had mastered Chinese at LILA, then they could learn Spanish anywhere (now the LILA Upper School lets kids learn Chinese, Spanish, and French!). Glad they had this opportunity!

My son goes to school at Lila and he absolutely loves it. Teachers are great.. Couldnt ask for a better school for my little boy..

I love going to lila middle school. It is an amazing school and the teachers there are like no other. I would totally recommend this school to anyone who is thinking about learning a new language, from beggeners to experts you can learn something new. The teachers here make it fun to learn and easier to get out of bed in the morning knowing that a good day is ahead of you. Your assignments are always posted on your IPAD that the school lends to you for the whole year. If you take a test and you dont get that good of a grade, you can always retake it. We are almost at the point of being an IB school and I can not belive how amazing this school is than my old school that I used used to go to. I totally recommend this school to my friends at my old school and anybody for that matter. From kindergarten to 12th grade, lila is for you.
