I have been training here for about a year and a half and absolutely love it. I started with zero experience, but Coach Whit and other students made me feel so welcome. Coach is super detail oriented and clear in his instruction. Not only has training made me more confident and in shape, but Ive made some amazing friends.

Had a great time training with Inspire BJJ today. The instruction portion pays attention to detail, and the extended drilling makes sure you don’t forget it. Thomas has a great focus on the mat, constantly walking around correcting us beginners. Very constructive and supportive atmosphere, wish I could train here more often!

I have been going to this gym for about 1 month, I started with no martial art experience and I have loved it. Coach Whit is humble, pays attention to detail, welcoming to new comers, takes time to answer questions, and is clearly dedicated to raising up his students. Us students range from young college students to U.S. Veterans to parents, so there is a good mix of differnt walks of life and a spot for everybody, and we are always excited to have new teammates. The facilities are always clean and the mats are cleaned every night. It is a great way to stay in shape, learn to protect yourself, and meet some great people.

Coach Whits teaching style is great for retention he focuses on teaching concepts that make techniques effective rather than assembling a list of moves to rehearse. I also love how close the members of this gym are as a team making it a great environment to introduce new students to the sport.

Over the past year, I have attended over 60+ fundamental and intermediate classes with Head Instructor Whit. I can confidently say that after each class attended, my Jiu Jitsu knowledge and confidence increased. From day one, I could sense that he cared about helping each student that stepped on the mat. It was a common thing to see Head Instructor Whit helping students of all belt levels before and after class. This example of going the “extra mile” built an environment in our Academy that promoted helping new students to stick with Jiu Jitsu. I saw it time and time again.Lastly, I have received 12 private lessons from Head Instructor Whit in the last year. His clear approach to developing my game plan structured around my strengths and fundamental Jiu Jitsu directly resulted in me medaling in my first Jiu Jitsu competition. I cannot recommend Inspire Jiu Jitsu and Head Instructor Whit enough. 5/5

Inspire BJJ Academy is a phenomenal and informative school. Coach Whit’s instructional curriculum is easy to understand and effective. He goes above and beyond to provide guidance to each individual while being attentive to all students. He ensures a professional attitude both on and off the mat while maintaining a fun and safe environment. Inspire BJJ is a welcoming school to everybody who steps in and is one that I would highly recommend.

Joining a gym to start learning jiu jitsu has been so far outside of my comfort zone, but Inspire has, from day 1, made me feel welcome to the fold. Coach Whit is great at breaking down techniques not only into the whats, but also the whys of each detail. The classes are engaging, the workout is much more intense than I originally anticipated, and the community at this gym is amazing. Especially as a female from a self defense point of view, it is very empowering to learn some of these techniques and to be confronted by lots of situations that could cause absolute panic, but then being shown how to react instead of panicking. In my opinion, 5 stars for the gym itself (very clean and neat), 5 stars for the teaching, and another 5 stars for the great group of people who have been so wonderful and patient with me while I learn how to kick some serious butt :)

I had the opportunity to train at Inspire Bjj while visiting Ft. Collins last week and came away very impressed. I felt very welcomed from the start and as a lower belt appreciated the structure of class. Coach Whit does a great job of focusing on the components of each movement while keeping in mind that everybody moves different and has varying ability. I especially liked the stressing of good hygiene while training. Something that cant be overstated in this sport. I would definitely recommend this school if youre wanting to give jiu jitsu a try. And next time Im in town Ill absolutely go back.

Great people and a great atmosphere to train in. The instructor definitely knows his stuff. Ive been a lifelong student of Japanese martial arts and I learned a lot in a small session. This place is GREAT and the people who teach and train here are even better! I havent trained BJJ in over 9 years and was welcomed with open arms by Thomas and his students. No egos, no machoism... just knowledgeable and humble people training hard, sharing info, and trying to make everyone else better. I will definitely be back to train here and would highly recommend this spot to anyone new to BJJ and experienced practitioners alike.Keep up the great work Thomas and Team Inspire!!!
