It is hard to overstate our enthusiasm for the NY String Academy. The faculty members are exceptionally accomplished musicians with a real knack for working with children. Our daughter started violin in 2017 (when she was three) and piano in 2018 (when she was four). Her progress on both instruments has been remarkable, thanks to the expert tutelage of Reun Chung. As importantly, our daughter looks forward to her lessons. Ms. Chung makes learning both easy and fun - each of which is obviously critical when working with very young children. Additionally, the school is flexible and accommodating in scheduling, and offers instrument rental programs (at least for violin) that allow you to gauge your child’s interest/aptitude without having to first buy an instrument. In short, we wholeheartedly recommend NY String Academy.

As a 56 year old beginner I sincerely recommend The NY String Academy. I began studying the Violin a year ago. I am already playing publicly and have completed level one. Never having played a musical instrument before I am able to read music and I am starting Bass lessons at The NY String Academy. The instructors are thoughtful, patient, and truly concerned with the development of their students. I have signed up for increased lessons and have made great progress.

NY String Academy is an great place not only for kids of all ages but also adult to learn music. Their faculty are very talented and passionate in creating fun filled lessons/classes. I was lucky enough to find this school. The practice rooms are roomy and very comfortable. Teachers are all well educated, friendly and nice. Overall, a very nice place to learn much instruments and I highly recommend them for anyone who want to learn music instruments or further their talent in music.

NY String Academy is the best music school ever.The teachers there make music fun and easy to learn.My daughter has been taking violin lesson from Ms.Chung for many years. She is a wonderful teacher. They have many programs for all ages and instruments. I would highly recommend this place to any parents who want their kids to learn music.

My son has been taking violin private lesson here with Ms Chung for two years and loves it. Chung is a great violin teacher and really knows what she is doing. The kids love her even though the class is hard work!

My 6 year old son started violin lessons here during the summer and so far he likes it! The instructor always gives me a feedback after every lesson.They had a summer mini concert last month and my son looked like a pro (proud mother moment here). They are accommodating with regards to the schedule and for that I am truly grateful. The studio is clean and theres lots of parking outside.Oh and they have a a beginner program to know if your child will be interested with the instrument. This is a good option before committing to the whole program.

My son totally enjoys going here. The teachers are great, the class of kids is fun and polite.

NYSA is amazing! My son started taking piano lessons there two months ago. He loves playing the piano thanks to his patient, experienced and caring teacher, Janice. He really enjoys every lesson!

Finally over 1 year have passed since my daughter Sue joined NY String Academy.She really enjoys playing the violin thanks to Ms. Chung, who is so talented andpassionate tutor of NY String Academy. Especially I love her instructive way to raisetutees’ confidence and passion by having them a variety of chances such as ensembleconcert. Ms. Chung’s passion and challenge leaded my daughter Sue to be a memberof BYO(Bergen Youth Orchestra). I always appreciate her continued devotion andefforts. If you are looking for a great violin(music) academy, I’m sure NY String Academyis the best choice for you and your children.

Great Suzuki teaching. My 5 year old child learned violin so quickly. I was so impressed and so happy to be part of the lessons.

My 4 year old son loves the Suzuki group class.I highly recommend this school!!
