I went into Paul Mitchell with an appointment with Delphine for a balayage and haircut not knowing what to expect. She was great from beginning to end. She made sure to understand what I wanted done and took her time executing the process to make sure it was done well. She even checked several times to ensure I was happy with the results rather than rushing me out. She did an excellent job with colors and I love my hair! I definitely recommend Delphine!

If you are low on money & have time to do it, its the place for a new look.Amanda & Amy are hidden gems learning their art. Which ranges from haircut, color, extensions, highlights, massage, manicure & pedicure. Waxing I believe is done too. Make up is done as well. Just ask if you need a service done.Wait time is slow they are students. This is a school.Teachers do not hesitate to jump in and show them a trick or how to do something.Had haircut, roots done & highlights cost me $87 & spent 4 hrs there.A small pillow for your back is a must & patience as well. They do offer free manicures while you wait with color. I did not receive one last time. A neck massage would have helped since I have metal in my neck. Not wheelchair friendly I watched. But they are all friendly & eager to help

I have gone to Paul Mitchell before when I lived in Fayetteville, NC and had the best experiences and service. However, this one has greatly disappointed me. I have called twice to try and make an appointment and have left a voicemail. There was no call back, the website does not offer for you to make an appointment like other schools. If an appointment is required like the site states, then why the lack of communication on your part? If this is how you are teaching your students to communicate with clients, even before they get in the door, then I am sorry for the students.

I would give it a NEGATIVE star if I could. This took place in March of 2021. I scheduled an appointment for perm over the phone for 6:15pm. I arrived at 5:33pm, about 45 minutes early. I received a text message prior to my arrival indicating that I should stay in my vehicle once arrived and text back with I am here and wait for notification to go inside. I texted 2 times (see attached photo) at 5:33pm and 5:51pm. However, I received no response. I then decided to call and see if I could go inside since I received no response from the texts. I called 2 times, at 5:55pm and 6:01pm (see attached photo). First call was not answered by anyone. Finally someone answered at 6:01pm and said it was ok for me to go inside. Once inside, I was told that I will need to reschedule my appoint because I was late. I informed the receptionist that my appointment was at 6:15pm and it was now 6:02pm. Also, I waited in my care for about 45 minutes; I attempted multiple times to text and call but with no response till 6:01pm. She advised the text line was un-monitored and she was not by the phone to answer the call. Informed her that I received a text to text at arrival and wait in my vehicle until I am notified to go inside. I further indicated that not only I arrived early but also I drove about an hour so I am not rescheduling. She walked away for 5 minutes and came back and advised that there is no available student to do my perm. I questioned her why the appointment was scheduled if there was no student available. She walked away again and came back with an instructor and agreed to do my perm. Two barber students ended up doing my perm. It was nice of them to attempt to do the perm with no experience at all. Come to find out it was not because that there was no available student to do my perm, it was because the student who was scheduled to do my perm refused. I have been do Paul Mitchell the school at other locations for over 20 years, and Ive always had good experiences; I had NEVER had a student refuse service. The instructor ended up coaching the 2 barber students with my perm. However, my hair was burnt badly. My hair is NOW very damaged and I am not sure of any recourse.

I had an excellent experience at Paul Mitchell the school fort myers location the beginning of this week. I didn’t have an appointment with a specific student, but I had great luck and was put with Sarah Corzi. Sarah did a phenomenal job on my hair. She even talked me into doing a ‘money piece’ in the front and I absolutely love the way my hair turned out! She was professional, precise, and efficient. Not only was I impressed with her, but all the other girls that offered help were extremely pleasant with great customer service. I will recommend Sarah over and over again. The color, the cut, and the feeling is way above my expectations and I will definitely be back! Thank you Sarah for your outstanding job.

I called both on Thursday and Friday and left a voicemail to confirm my appointment and no one answered or called me back. I drove the 40 minutes from Alva today and to my surprise... it’s closed. I leave for school in a day and now can no longer get my hair done. I’m even more upset that the woman I talked to on the phone gave me a day and time when the salon isn’t even open. Worst experience ever. the guy who cut my hair did a fabulous job. love him. think his name was weston, he was great. but I came in with a friend who is family friends with a teacher of the school. the girl doing my friends hair was shoved to the side as a trainer (not the teacher) took over and COMPLETELY disregarded what my friend asked for. after waiting there for 2 hours, finally getting hair done at 8 and completed at 10pm (4 hours total, starving as well), her hair was an absolute MESS. the family friend who teaches there recommended coming to this school so he could over look and left before it was our turn. even the girl who was originally going to cut it knew it wasn’t right and couldn’t say anything because it was too late.

I was very hesitant coming here yesterday. To have a student cut my hair seems like a terrifying thing to me, but for the price I cannot really beat it. A young man by the name of Nate took care of me last night, and although he did A WONDERFUL job, it is clear to me that his teacher Josh is a huge reason why he will be a successful barber. As a business owner I look for managers in all places. Josh was alert, attentive, available and hilariously funny. I have been going to the Paul Mitchell salon school for over a year and I am very happy with them. They have consistently given me great cuts and color. I saw a couple people complained about their hair after they went to this school and I would like to say first off that that happens in all salons and second, the remedy is to call the salon back and they will redo it! One time I received a cut that I was not happy with and I called them when I got home. Well they had me in the next day and a couple of the teachers looked at it and gave their opinion of what type of cut would look best on me. And they were very apologetic and the new cut was fabulous.Today I again had Shelby and like the last time she was great. I love my hair! And she and everyone are more than nice and pleasant.

I’m crying as I post this review. I usually go to the school and get trims on my hair but last Saturday 12/16/2017 was a nightmare! The girl doing my hair was in a hurry and chopped 11-13 inches of my hair! She layered one big chunk on the top and left a tiny bit of hair long. The worst part is that her professor came by looked at my hair and said it was fine. I could tell the other students were staring at my face awkwardly. I’ve had several people come to me at work and asked me what happened to my hair. I understand this is a school but the professor was almost rushing me out the door. The professor could have fixed my hair before letting me leave. You guys took so much of my hair off with out my permission and called it layers. I’m thankful that my hair is long but I’m scared to ever go back. If the student made a mistake, covering it up is not okay. It was short and chopped awkwardly but you could have tried to fix it or make it look decent before dismissing me.

Would not recommend going here unless you want your hair to turn out completely different from what you wanted. I went in October to get my hair done after not having it done for years cause I was afraid of it getting ruined like before so I tried Paul Mitchell and wanted a medium brown color with highlights and told them I didnt want red tones at all because I hate after two weeks its turns my hair to a gingery color. After they were done with my hair it ended up being a dark red color it wasnt brown whatsoever and was darker then the shade I was going for. Now my hair is a reddish orange color after a month and now I gotta do processes at a REAL hair salon to try to get the red out of my hair. Im never going back here again and tell everyone who asks not to either.

I went here to get my hair and makeup done for prom. They did well with the hair even though I just asked for a braid. All they had to do was straighten my hair and braid it. That took 2 1/2 hours. Then came my makeup! I looked like I let a kid just draw on me with sharpies! I have red hair and this girl took a black pencil and just drew two thick lines on me! I was running late for picture so I just left without complaining. When I got to the pictures I got out of my car and just started crying! On my way there I was scratching my eyebrows off trying to make them less bold and horrid. I made my parents go across the street and get makeup remover cause I would rather go pale bare face than what this girl put on me. Also their makeup choices for color was terrible if you wanted to go simple.

I have been there twice now. The first time I went I had a girl named Celeste and she did great! She was friendly and really took the time to ask questions about what I wanted and it looked great. The second time I went (I thought Celeste had graduated so I didnt request her) I was paired with a girl named Savannah. She was very nice and seemed to really concentrate on her work. She didnt ask half of the questions, but I figured it was because they already had my profile from before (apparently not). So I wanted to touch up my roots with the usual blonde highlights, my hair trimmed, and my bangs to be styled. Well...they usually ask how you wear your hair so they know the angle people will be seeing most, but she never asked. I will be attending the police academy soon and my hair is required to be pulled back. She had styled my hair down and parted in the center so I thought it looked good...until I got home and put it in a ponytail. My hair pulled back looked like it hadnt been done in the 8 weeks! Not the top or underneath! Next, my trim. I already have layers in my hair...she just trimmed the very bottom of my hair and paid no attention to my layers. Lastly, my bangs needing styled. She didnt even touch them, not even to trim them let alone style them. So I went home and tried to trim them myself and they of course turned out horrible. I was not wanting to complain because I know its a school, plus I thought the highlights turned out nicely. Once I got home and realized every single thing I asked for was wrong in some way, I was very upset. The reason I gave it a 3 was because of my first experience going so well, but I do not plan on going back after an instructor looks at my chart and should have seen these issues and only said how beautiful it looked. Thats not teaching students to learn from and fix their mistakes.

I understand its a learning salon. The experience wont be perfect. So the three hours I was there is not the problem, it was just the end result of it all. I was very displeased with the end result. The teacher and the student kept telling me how beautiful my hair looked and it looked horrible. The student added a ton of product and blow dried my hair so it ended up poofy and frizzy, even though I told her in the beginning I like to style my hair with a flat iron. Thats okay my hair ended up looking horrible, its a school. But its not okay when the teacher helped the student finish my root touch up and when I go into my car I can still see my OLD COLOR. Its not okay for the teacher to say my hair looks beautiful when it looked BAD. They knew I was displeased by the look on my face but let me walk out of there paying the full price and not offering for someone to fix the mess. I went that same week to have my hair fixed at a salon because the student messed up my layers, and even though the teacher went through and supposedly fixed it, it was really choppy when I flat ironed it. During my 3 hour wait, I had to wait for the student to find gloves. I sat in a chair for 20 minutes, alone, while they looked for gloves. No one apologized to me for that. Beware of this place. You dont even get what you pay for. In the end I paid $60 for my hair to be processed for nothing and for my layers to be chopped up. I had to pay $120 at another salon to fix the mess.

Ive been going here for over a year. PMTSFM is consistently a first-class operation. Dont the The School fool you. The students here are confident, competent, and do great (not good) work. For men like me who want a quality cut, this is the place that will make you look great and have people commenting you on. For women, this is your one stop shop for everything (hair, color, make-up, nails, etc). The students take TIME perfecting the style you want. Men plan on being there for a hour to hour and a half ... women, depending on what services you get you could be there all day. The students and instructors make sure you walk out the door loving how you look. They wont let you leave feeling any other way.At Paul Mitchell you are getting top level service and results. The color, cut, manicures, etc are the same you would get the Paul Mitchell Salon in Beverly Hills and Manhattan. Having lived in NYC for years, I paid $75 to get a cut at the Paul Mitchell Salon in Manhattan. While most of Fort Myers/Naples/Sarasota has yet to take advantage of this place, I still love that its a secret. PMTSFM has taken all the stress out of trying to find a good stylist in a barren place. Who knew you could get a first class cut at a world class salon in Fort Myers?Tips:1. Every book has multiple chapters. The mission of PMTSFM is to have every client leave feeling happy, confident, and great about the way they look. Those who post their unhappy stories online via review lacked the courage to provide ongoing feedback (be it positive or negative) during their service. They left the salon feeling unhappy but told their stylist the opposite. Thats a bad client. Hiding behind a keyboard and venting frustration through a online post/review...thats a coward.Insight: Those who post negative reviews didnt give their student/the instructor/The School the opportunity to make them feel great. Whos fault it that?2. Treat others as you want to be treated. This is learning environment. Youll get a first class cut if you are supportive of the student and make them comfortable. If you get nervous or upset* youll get a bad cut. Thats your fault, not theirs.Insight: {*,see #6}3. While its a secret now, its no secret then. Thanksgiving to March is the busiest time at The School. Snowbirds know this secret. Book several weeks out if you want to even attempt to get in. Men, that means you too.Insight: Do otherwise and be prepared to be disappointed.4. Idiots dont ask for more. Ask about the different monthly promotions and specials EACH TIME YOU BOOK. Wednesday nights (as of Oct 2015) mean $6 cuts for men; other times are $11. Women can probably get big discounts. Just because they may not have a promotion one month doesnt mean they wont the next.Insight: Theyll never tell you about them when you call. Be proactive and ask often.5. Dont fix a wheel that isnt broken. If you find a good stylist, stick with them. Get your students name, student number (very important... the John who styled your hair isnt the same as the other two Johns who are students too) and their graduation date/month. This way you can rebook with them and know when they graduate.Insight: Go with what you know and trust. If you like a stylist, stick with them and know when you have to ask them; What stylist would you recommend I continue with. They all graduate. They all can eliminate the stress of flying-blind while trying to find a comparable stylist to replace them. Theyll always pass you off to a stylist who they know and trust to provide the same quality of service you received from them.6. A student isnt a professional. Dont book here if you agree with that statement. They are trained as professionals and act as such.Insight: Your job is to be a professional client; compassionate, constructive, supportive, cooperative, and show a smile.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Paul Mitchell the School Fort Myers. I had a picture of the hair color I wanted and the student who dyed my hair nailed the color. It was identical to the picture I showed her. The only complaint I have is that she got a good amount of dye on the collar of my shirt, but she was extremely apologetic and she followed it up with, “Now I’ve learned my lesson... I will always tuck my clients’ collars in when I dye their hair!” I would have liked a discount of some sort because of that slip up, but they didn’t offer. I also got a Keratriplex treatment and a trim. The Keratriplex treatment worked great and relaxed my hair for about three months (the average length of time they tell you it will hold for). The trim was well done, but it took about an hour and a half, which is much too long for the simple 1/2 inch brush-up I requested. By the time I was done, I had gorgeous, healthy locks, but it costed me four hours out of my day. Thank goodness I didn’t have anywhere to go that day.
