Fort Myers High School is my Alma Mater and my oldest son just graduated a β€œGreenie” as well. (My youngest son is a junior too!) This is a well rounded school full of tradition & school spirit. Academically it outranks most, if not all high schools in Lee County. Go Green Wave!! πŸŒŠπŸ’š

It is the school to go to if you want your kids to get a good education at a public school. The best in Southwest Florida.

This school is a good school for education (If you choose the IB program) but the administration makes me give this school a one-star review.High school is high school and is meant to be a reflection of some of the most memorable years in ones life. Oh yeah, you can bet it was memorable for me. My principal was David LaRosa. Matter of fact, he is still the principal. David LaRosa bullied me my senior year. He wouldnt let me give a eulogy to the school for my best friend whose life was claimed by an auto accident and when I asked why, he responded with I dont need to tell you, now get out of my face and leave this office. Well, years later, I havent forgotten and sadly, never will. The first, genuine act of cruelty I experienced in life. Needless to say, my respect was lost for him and I made the mistake of speaking about him and my experience to other teachers and classmates. This is when David LaRosa singled me out, called me down to his office every day from February to the last day of school for the year, threatening me with expulsion. This guy is so sadistic he called up colleges I got accepted to and told them Fort Myers High rescinds recommendation of their student and urges the institution to reject their offers of admission to me. David LaRosa is SICK and DISTURBED. He faced a lawsuit from my parents when he tried to get my expelled and kicked out of IB for no reason other than the fact that I stood up to him and his ridiculous, senseless way of handling things. He lacks honor and respect for students and teachers, with rumors flying as high as David LaRosa sleeping with students and hitting on teachers. This was actually print news in the News-Press and televised on NBC-2 back in 2014. The School District of Lee County protects its own typically. Fort Myers Highs administration makes this school less than what it could be. I did not feel safe during my senior year and David LaRosa, with the mental stress he put me through, almost made me end my own life just to escape the perpetual torment he put me through.
