We have been part of The Learning Tree family for the past three years and can’t recommend it enough! The school is safe and secure. We love that there are two teachers in every classroom and how they are always upbeat, positive and nurturing! There are a lot of opportunities for parent involvement which we loved. I would recommend this school to anyone!

I have had 3 children, starting at age 2, go through the learning tree preschool. I cannot imagine a more loving, educational and fun environment for kids to feel inspired to learn! Each of my kids loved attending school everyday. I truly found an amazing community of families and staff to have as a support system.I love the small class sizes along with the fact that each teacher has extensive training and education. This is a preschool that will set your child’s love of learning for many years to come.

The Learning Tree has been a wonderful pre-school for both of my children. The teachers are actual teachers, highly trained and incredibly nurturing. We could not be more pleased with our experience over several years at this school. The director has many years of experience and truly makes it a wonderful environment for learning and growing.

Initially we were very happy with the Fort Myers Learning Tree at Temple Beth El. We are a Jewish family, and were happy that our child was in a Pre-School that was supposed to be supportive of our faith. Some of the teachers are great, while some of them seem completely clueless to important issues like food allergies, etc. What we came to discover is that most of the families in charge (yes, theres a committee, cliques, etc..) were evangelical Christians, who had a strong influence on the culture of the Synagogue. Disturbing? Yes.On another note, we were not refunded tuition money that was due to us when we took our child out, with plenty of advance notice, with nothing more than sorry about that, but we cant fill your childs space, so you get nothing from the director. If you are looking for a diverse culture and are Jewish or non evangelical, I would certainly steer clear of this preschool. The only people there who cared are reaching retirement, and we loved them very much.We are in a new town where we belong to a Jewish Community Center, where traditions are upheld, diversity is encouraged, and love abounds. Perhaps the Learning Tree Fort Myers could take a few lessons from them, but I fear that isnt possible under the current management. We are grateful to those at the Learning Tree who truly cared. We just hope you dont have the experience we did. This is not out of spite, it is the truth.Shalom, and be well.

I have 2 children that both started at the Learning Tree at age 18 months. One is now in 1st grade, and the other is in VPK and will be graduating from the Learning Tree this year. My oldest daughter went into Kindergarten being more than prepared for her new journey!! She also tells my youngest daughter on a daily basis how lucky she is to still be able to attend the Learning Tree “because they have the nicest & best teachers & the BEST SCHOOL LUNCH”. Our family loves this 5⭐️ preschool. The class sizes are small and there is always two over qualified teachers in each room no matter the ratios. We will miss the Learning Tree when my youngest graduates this year but I know she will be more than ready to tackle Kindergarten thanks to this amazing school & staff

Our daughter went to Learning Tree and loved it! Our son is currently in his last year there as he will be graduating this spring. He loves it as well! I have been impressed many times, in the 7 year continuous years now that I have had one of my children at school, at the amount of things the teachers can get the kids to be excited about that my wife and I have a hard time even getting them to do at home. Such as eat vegetables, wear a wig that was part of their Halloween costume, pick up the room, etc. Any time either of our kids would miss a day of school they would be disappointed. My son starts to jump in his seat and kick his feet with excitement when I drop him off as we pull in the parking lot. He insisted on going to visit when he was out of school for a while with a broken leg. His caring teacher sent him a note, video from the class wishing him well, and a bear the day he had surgery on his leg! When our son was born and we were paying in house care for him we made the decision to continue sending our daughter to Learning Tree even though we were already paying for a full time nanny we had a long term relationship with at the house. We did this because of how much she enjoyed it and how much she was developing there. If we did not feel so strongly about how she was developing in that environment we would have brought her back home. However she was striving and we wanted her to continue at Learning Tree. It was a great decision. Cant say enough about the school. I would recommend it for sure!

My children both adored their time at the Learning Tree Preschool. The teachers are incredibly warm and nurturing, and my children WANTED to go to school. My youngest is still there, and I am constantly amazed by what he is learning and how enriched his days there are! My oldest left pre-school knowing sight words, basic phonics, and how to read easy rebus books! Top notch!

We placed our son and our daughter in Learning Tree from age 3-5. Our son is gifted while our daughter is adopted from India and is delayed in language and emotionally. We have immensely enjoyed our childrens time at the Learning Tree. Both were uniquely catered to depending upon their specific needs. We examined all the pre-schools in Fort Myers before making the choice of Learning Tree and are very glad we did.

Both of my children have gone to the learning tree for several years. We have had a wonderful experience. The staff is so well educated and caring. The school has really prepared my children for kindergarten. We started Canterbury last year and the academics and social skills learned at the Learning Tree have fostered a seamless transition.

Our first day, we were not greeted with kindness by the teacher in the room. She was not professional or friendly, thus beginning the frustration we had. My son did not receive the attention we were expecting. He would come home with work that only contained two stamps on ripped paper. Mostly he wouldn’t have any art to show. This VPK class is designed to prepare him for Kindergarten. We did not see results that satisfied what was in the pamphlet during our school tour. Lack of supervision was in the classroom/playground as my son had come home multiple times with an incident report.I was excited to make new friends with the others moms. However, since I was the new lady and everyone else children have been attending there for years, I was not accepted and the parents and staff would turn their back. Staying in their cliques. We pulled our son out after less then three months and did not receive a refund on tuition. He is better off at a school that will actually give him the attention and skills deserves. We would like to say there was a few that truly cared about our son. He did make friends eventually after he was hit in the head by a train and stomped on (leaving red scraps all over his forehead) at the playground. Let’s hope your experience isn’t that same when your family is new to this school. This is our experience and we are disappointed.

The Learning Tree has far exceeded our expectations for preschool! I couldn’t have wished for a more loving, nurturing, safe and creative environment for our son. He looks forward to school each morning & has learned so much. The teachers, staff and director have been welcoming, attentive, compassionate and it genuinely feels like a big family. We are now looking forward to our next year in VPK at The Learning Tree!

I was a teacher at The Learning Tree for a year, and it was the best place I have ever worked at. The director, Jesyca, is absolutely AMAZING! No school I have worked at has ever compared.

When we first moved to Fort Myers, the moms I met at Gymboree (now closed), Moms Club, through my husbands work network and at the parks in town all recommended that we tour the Learning Tree preschool, housed in Temple Beth El. As due diligence, we also toured two other noteably reputable preschools in town.Ultimately, we chose to enroll our two oldest children here and have never looked back. The admin, teachers and aides at this preschool are wonderful, loving and highly qualified individuals. The curriculum at this preschool more than adequately prepared our two oldest for their next school in more than academics... The character education, the approach and openness to all faiths and family traditions are the perfect balance with the rigors of the ABCs necessary in our current world of early developmental learning. When it came time to consider preschool for our third child, while we did choose to visit more than just Learning Tree (again, due diligence), again, we came to the conclusion that this preschool was the best choice. And ten years after our familys first experience with this preschool, we are still very satisfied with the staff, curriculum and family environment!

I dont write many reviews, but this school deserves every praise they can possibly get! I am not sure I can explain to you in words how awesome this school is. My kids are sincerely the happiest children around and while they do come from a great family(lol), they have no doubt been impacted by their time at this outstanding school. This school has the right balance of helping the children to have fun and feel loved, but they also teach the children to follow a structured day, independence and manners. They work on leadership skills by allowing the children to take part in daily assignments. They teach great hygiene, my son is so good at washing his hands! They teach spanish, music, art, colors, numbers, sight words, math, teamwork, seasons, careers, about a variety of cultures, etc., etc. etc. The list goes on and on! This is our familys 7th and last year at the Learning Tree as my 5 year old will be heading off to Kindergarten next year. It is really bittersweet as I know my son is ready for Kindergarten (thanks to his preschool teachers this year and all the other teachers leading up to, the additional work by Miss Ellen to prep him for Kindergarten and the option of taking a Pre-K plus class), but we will definitely miss the loving environment that has been provided here. My daughter who is now in second grade cried on her last day and I have a feeling my son will too! Ok, and mom might shed a few tears as well! I love that the Director has young children, and is very connected to providing the best offerings available! She advocates at the State level and works really hard to make Learning Tree the best preschool possible. I also love all the enrichment options available. My son has taken soccer, cooking, yoga and a kindergarten readiness class as an afterschool option. We are a Christian family, but I absolutely love that my son can learn about others similarities and differences as they celebrate and learn about all the holidays and customs of different faiths. Thank you Learning Tree and the entire staff for everything you have done for our family!
