Vista College in my experience is a scammy, incompetent, lethargic, half hearted, half asked, expensive educational organization. I advise individuals to avoid.

Another scam school like Everest Institute. Youll b 12-18 k n debt with a bogus degree or certificate that most jobs dont take seriously. If you work with staff for job placement as I did, they can and will find u work, however it probably wont b in your degree field (as mine was not) so your accrued hrs go to waste n it was all for nothing. Read the fine print!!! If it sounds to good to b true, then it is. 6-9 months acquiring a certified certificate compared to the actual amount of time it takes to obtain same degree from a university. If your going to give the money away and owe it, go with the university at least it is legit, and wont b shutting down or be sued within next decade. I truly believed as the others rating this place high in stars while attending. However after graduation finally i came to my senses, there was no help, they didnt follow up, and they werent committed in assisting me locate a legitimate job in my field. (No background flags or any type of charges- clean record. Not to mention i was at top of my class. It was all a scam. Please do your research people!!!

I am halfway through with my medical assisting certificate program, and from day one I have been impressed by the staff and their desire to see each student succeed. I am a non-traditional student, and havent been in a classroom in 36 years. I was afraid I would not be able to keep up with the fast pace. Instead, the instructors make sure every student feels comfortable asking questions. They go out of their way to make sure we understand. They offer free tutoring times every day. They care about every student. From the front desk staff to the campus director, and everyone in between, I have been very impressed with Vista. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for new opportunities and a new career path.

The staff at the Fort Smith campus is very professional, yet still friendly and helpful. I felt welcome and at ease the moment I walked through the door. I believe the Information Technology class is an Excellent program. It is very informative and interesting. The instructor is very polite and respectful of the students, he is also very educated in this field of study. I would be willing to attend more of his classes. I highly recommend attending this school!

I came in Vista College scared, being a 43 year old woman wanting to better myself. The staff, instructors, and the students have shown me that theres nothing to be afraid of and guess what Im a thriving proud student of Vista College. The classes are fast pass yes, but you can learn more than you can imagine in that amount of time. You dont get a chance to get bored in a subject. That keeps me on my toes and thats what the real world does as well. I was greeted with kindness and smiles and they havent stopped.

I overall love this College. This college has given me this amazing opportunity to become someone better than I was. It is furthering my education and career in less than a year. 50 weeks to be exact. They have wonderful instructors and employees. Everyone is treated how they are supposed to be treated. I just hate how expensive it is. I pay more on loans than I got on grants. Over half of my tuition is loans, but I guess thats the price I pay to become better. Wonderful college!

I absolutely love attending vista college for my degree as a certified clinical medical assistant. The program teaches us so much more than what I had originally anticipated. I juggle full time college and working along with being a single parent taking care of an elderly father and the instructors and other staff is what makes it all possible with the great support team that they provide. Come get the career your dreaming of cause dreams come true at vista college every day!

The school is great. It is small but growing fast. The teachers I have had so far are great. The school is more like a technical school instead of a 4 year term school. They teach you what you need to know, you take classes you need, skip the ones that you dont need (unlike some of the 4 yr schools), facualty is friendly, open, and always greet you with a smile. I am close to my 50s and I thought it would be hard to go back but Vista has made it great. There has been some bumps in the road to success but if a person follows the chain of management (like in any job), the bumps can be smoothed out.I have seen some bad reviews on here and this is what I have to say about them: WHAT YOU GET OUT OF VISTA DURING YOUR TIME HERE, IS WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT. If you only put half the effort into the classes, then all you are going to get out of it, is half the learning andinformation.I would recommend Vista College in Fort Smith, AR to anyone. If you want the learning to get a better job or move up in your job, come see one of our representatives.

Vista is a good college. However, the Campus Director, Sheila Gawne, needs to go. She is very unprofessional. She is always making inappropriate comments in front of students and staff. She likes to make the instructors and staff feel incompetent, but as the Director, shouldnt she be training them? Also, the rules and policies are very inconsistent. One day students can do one thing, then, turns around the next day and changes the answer. Schedules are always changing day to day. They are given out maybe two days before the end of the class end. I like the school, but I do not like Sheila. I have seen some good people leave because of her. Her staff retention is very low. The corporate office needs to get rid of her, or train her on how to be a better director.

Great school, they get you ready for the field bookwise. They teach you everything you need to know. The staff is great.. but if you plan on getting pregnant or you are pregnant (or really if you are gonna have to take any leave of absence at all like if you get in an accident and have to be hospitalized, or your kids get sick, or you have a death in the family, etc) then you should not consider going until a late date. I was pregnant when I went out on externs and couldnt take a maternity leave. If you miss more than 7 days then you get dropped from the school. Doesnt matter if its maternity leave, doesnt matter if your almost done, doesnt even matter if its a death in the family. You will have to sit out 15 weeks until you can come back to finish. Working at a extern office monday-thursday 8-1 and my actually job wednesday-sunday 2-10 and having to take care of a 3 year old and a 1 month old by myself.. Im physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. Suffering postpartum depression and wanting to finish is getting hard. Great school, but feel like some rules need to be tweaked for special occasions.
