My daughter LOVES her dance class! She has low muscle tone and struggles with balance and this has helped already so much! All the ladies are very nice and helpful! Not only do they teach dance but also the etiquette. Love that.

I have 3 daughters that attend classes and love it! They are proud to show their new dance moves, the activity work they done and they really love having their new friends. The teachers are wonderful to work with for parents and the kids. We are extremely pleased with our choice to put our daughters in Pure Dance Works.

My daughter joined pure dance works last year when she was two. It was something so fun for her and I to do together. We are a couple sessions in and she’s about to move on to another level and I see her using what she learned in class at home all the time. So far we have really enjoyed our time with pure dance works and I can’t wait for my daughter to learn more from there kind teachers.

Our two daughters ages 3 and 5 both attend Pure Dance Works. We started this past summer season and quickly signed up for the fall season, as well. They both love it and have learned so much. From day 1 the girls received a warm welcome.At first, we weren’t sure what to expect. We were just signing up our girls for dance. We had no idea that it would turn into such a positive and impactful thing for them to do. The structure and framework from which this studio was built on is very purposeful and intentional. As expected, our girls have learned a lot about dance. What we didn’t expect, however, was the wonderfully positive influence they would have on our girls. They have also learned about positive character traits and positive discipline. Since our girls started attending, I have noticed our girls saying things like “that’s very kind” or “that’s impactful” and I really love that! I have also noticed they have been interrupting less and have been more patient. When we attended parent night, it was evident that these things were learned from their teachers.As far as dance goes, both of my daughters have been so excited about it. They’ve learned so much and they practice at home the things they learn in class. My oldest has become very dedicated to ballet and her teachers have been wonderful in teaching her! She is a bit of a perfectionist and, in our experience, that has sometimes been approached as a negative thing. She is very careful and cares about doing things “right.” Her teachers have been nothing but patient and helpful with her. I truly appreciate that.Another wonderful thing is how open communication is between the studio and the parents. We got lots of helpful and informative emails when we first joined which helped us understand the transition better. They also send weekly newsletters with updates, tips, and information on what they are learning about the next week. As a parent, I always feel like I am included in their learning because I know what they’ll be working on and I can talk to the girls about it.Lastly, Tiina, Taylor, and the teachers have all been so warm, positive, and caring that it makes the experience that much better. We haven’t had a single day when we felt that someone was rude or not attentive to our girls. We feel like our girls are in good hands when they are at dance and it makes us so happy!I really have nothing bad to say about Pure Dance Works. I truly recommend Pure Dance Works for anyone who wants their kids to join a warm and caring community along with doing dance.

When choosing a dance studio for my daughter, I wanted to know going in that not only would she receive quality ballet instruction, but that she would be treated as a child. So often we see companies dress young girls like grown women and expect you to be okay with them dancing in a sexual manner. That is not the case with Pure Dance Works. They create a environment that nurtures young minds and instills a joy of dancing. I’m very pleased by the professional manners of all of the staff and the amount of effort they put in to go above and beyond for my daughter.

We love Pure Dance Works! The teachers are kind, professional, and truly dedicated to teaching and caring about my little dancer. My 2 year old absolutely loves her dance class. She has so much fun everytime and the pacing isnt to fast. The teacher seems to also change up her speed based on the class. Originally certain activities were longer or shorter and they basically swapped bc the toddlers did better that way. The teacher is super nice. Im terrible with names, but I believe her name was Anna?

I enrolled my granddaughter in this program over the summer because she loves to dance. It was an 8 week program when she wasnt able to do anything else. She loved it. So her mom and dad continued her ballet classes this fall.They are very patient with her (she is very active) and she absolutely loves going. She even shows me what she has learned so far.I definitely recommend this program as a positive and age based dance instruction.

Before enrolling I had looked and researched almost every studio in town because this was our first time enrolling our daughters into these types of classes. Upon my research. The pricing, communication and what is offered made us decide to officially go with Pure Dance. Their website is very user friendly for all of your questions and the staff was excellent. Highly recommend this studio and my children love going to class each week and love seeing what they have learned

My three year old daughter has been enrolled in ballet here for almost a year now! It’s really nice that her class size is really small & she doesn’t feel overwhelmed w chaos, she gets individualized attention! Miss Jayda is her teacher & I would recommend her my daughter raves about her every time we talk about dance class! She loves to go to ballet every Thursday. It’s affordable & my daughter loves it! 10/10 recommend

We had been looking for a dance studio that taught little girls how to dance using clean music and modest outfits. This studio exceeded our expectations and hopes!

My daughter began going to Pure for Kindermusik classes when she was 2 years old and is now a Sparkle dancer. I am especially grateful for the constant individualized communication and attention to detail. In a world that is scary, especially for kids, it’s wonderful to have a safe place with a regular routine they can count on.

My 3 year old keeps asking to go back every day! The staff is very professional and very informative. The 3-6 age group program is highly structured. The facilities are great too.

Our family has been extremely pleased with all that Pure Dance Works has to offer. The class ratios are small, allowing the children to get the attention and instruction so they can be successful. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. My daughter learned so much more than just dancing. Highly, highly recommend this studio.

As a former dance mom at Steppin Out, I can honestly say it was worth all the time and money spent for my sons classes, competitions and costumes. He is now a professional dancer and has been supporting himself financially since the day he left for his first contract which was immediately after graduating from high school. The instructors at Steppin Out did a phenomenal job of preparing him with the skills and mind set he needed to succeed in this business. They also instilled in him a work ethic that has earned him the highest praise by his superiors and peers in each contract he has completed. As a parent, my advice to students and parents is trust your instructors. They are very highly trained in their craft and are passionate about what they do. They have your dancers best interest in mind always. This isnt just a job to them - it is their mission in life. Trust in them and they can do amazing things for your child. They say it takes a village and they were definitely MY village.

The Kindermusik class has been such a positive activity for Madison (Maddie). She has learned so much and has surpassed where we ever imagined her being at this age. She is learning to communicate so well from being in the class and around the other children. She loves the structure, songs, music and especially any dancing! I have actually recommended the class to a few friends of mine whom also have young children. Its a great learning and growth enriched environment. Madison has learned many new words, sounds and movement! Thank you all so much for putting on such a positive program and for helping my daughter learn and grow so much and so fast!

My daughter loves her dance classes! I love the care and understanding that the staff shows towards the students. I also love that they are actually learning about dance. Pure Dance Works is a wonderful studio with opportunities for many different forms of dance, theater, and music. I really appreciate the emphasis put on modesty. Our girls learned so much in the ballet classes!

My daughter is 3 and this was her first experience with dance! I put her in the week long dance camp and she absolutely loved it! She is always hesitant to leave me, but the ballet teacher took great care each day to give her a little special attention, hold her, tell her she was going to be O.K, and stayed by her side until she was comfortable! I was very impressed with how the teachers expected obedience, even 3 yr olds, but let them be joyful/playful just the same. My 3 yr old has come out of camp with new dance skills, but also with better listening skills!

My 5 year old enjoyed the year round ballet class she was in. As a parent, I saw her technique improve throughout the year, as well as her listening skills as she was expected to focus and pay attention, and also given feedback when she did not in a way that wasnt negative, but instead encouraged correction. We enjoyed the opportunities for observation of class throughout the year to see her growing, and the end of the year recital story was fantastic.

I have loved watching my daughter grow not only as a performer, but as an individual. Pure Dance Works is a nurturing and positive environment for children of all ages!

To give you an idea of how awesome this studio is- we moved to Lansing, MI in January and have kept our three-year-old in class at Pure Dance Works to finish the year. We drive two hours one way each week to bring her to her 50-minute ballet class.The Leap-N-Learn program did wonders for her intellectual abilities in ONE class. We enrolled her as soon as she turned three. The first day of class, she didnt earn her sticker because she didnt want to listen (normal for her, shed never been in daycare or anything structured in the past!). That was roughly 25 classes ago, and she has earned each of her 25 stickers since then! Its amazing watching her apply at home the life skills and dance technique she is learning.The teachers are absolutely wonderful. I myself danced and taught for 20 years, so quality teachers are something I look for when choosing a studio for my own child. We are going to be sad at the end of the year when its time for us to leave PDW.TLDR; Pure Dance Works is truly a quality studio. Take your child here!

The musical theater class at Pure Dance Works is perfect for my daughter. Dancing & singing! She really enjoys the teachers and class mates.This class helped her confidence to audition for her school show choir!

I have loved our time at Steppin Up. I understand some parents are upset about the cost of the recital but with that many people you have to be able to rent a facility like Carroll High school along with the school staff to man it.I was given very good communication unlike other activities my kids have been involved in. I was very slow in ordering my daughters costume and I was contacted a couple of times asking if everything was ok because they didnt want my daughter to miss out. As it was I almost missed the final deadline even though I had been given months of notice to purchase the costume.My daughter loved her teacher and her class.

The staff and instructors at Pure Dance Works are wonderful. They are polite and courteous. Classes run on time. My daughter always looks forward to going to class.

We have been so impressed with the staff and their professionalism since enrollment! I have noticed my 4 year old’s listening skills and patience grow tremendously this past year as she has been in pre-ballet with Miss Tiina, and I really believe the focus placed on these skills in the classes has been a contributing factor to her growth. I have been very happy with my experience at Steppin Out/Pure Dance Works. I have one 9 year old son in his second year of tap and a 3 year old son in his first year of ballet. I am happy with the progress each of my kids have made over the past year and they enjoy showing off what theyve learned to family and friends.At the beginning of the year, my 3 year old loved the classes but struggled with some separation anxiety. Tina, the owner and his teacher, was very patient and helpful finding constructive ways to help us through his anxiety so that he could enjoy the lessons. Within a few lessons, he was running to be first in line for the class saying: I got this mom.This is just one example of the personal care and attention that I have seen from the owner and the instructors at the studio. Problems and concerns are always addressed quickly and in a flexible and common sense manner while still maintaining the discipline expected from a dance studio. The lobby and waiting area have been updated this year and are comfortable and inviting.There is one recital at the end of the year that does cost money for the costumes and tickets; however, the show is fun, very well done, and my whole family enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the show this year!

My experience this year was a very poor one. Last year was ok, but once again we paid $10 PER PERSON to see my daughter on stage for less than 2 minutes. She did a dance that was a repetition of 5 moves -jump, punch/kick, freestyle, pose, run around. Her poms class the previous year was much more challenging/worth the time and $. Then we had to stand, again, because there were no seats left even though we got there as early as we could.I also found out the real cost of her costume and was astonished at the price gauging. I will say that everyone is pretty nice, Julie is amazing with the kids, but I felt very cheated.

Wonderful staff and a clean, happy atmosphere. The younger children really develop a lot in their classes in so many ways!
