I set an Driving appointment a week before for 3pm with the headquarters since we can’t talk to the direct location. They took my card information and told me where to meet the instructors at (by the loading docks). I was already early today so that gave me time to find the correct area. It was getting down to crunch time , I didn’t see no other students outside, no sign, And no car w/ a sears sign, I decided to call and it kept sending me to an automated message saying “ headquarters is currently closed . Monday- Friday business times is 9am-6pm. I’m standing there for a good 10-15 mins and see the security guard pass. I wave and ask “is this the correct place to be?” He said yes but you can go through those doors to get back in the mall to the sears.Sooo, I go back in the mark after the fact. Sears of course is closed down so there is no way to get in. I saw a lady who worked for the mall and told her I needed help she directed me to the mall office.Long story short: I wasted my time and I paid for a drive time for tomorrow too . 😐 I filed a dispute tho!

I had the same problem as the last reviewer. They are out of business, but took our money for 7 lessons and are not longer answering their phones anywhere. All the phones go to a recorded line saying the same thing. Im filing a dispute for the charges. Im sure there are plenty of people having the same problem.

I would Never recommend the driving school at Sears Hulen. They dont teach the students proper rules of driving and by example they teach them to ignore the law. Example every morning they are parked in the fire lane, with 2 vehicles, waiting for all students to show up. This in turn leads the parents dropping their kids off to do the same. At times there are 6 or more cars all blocking the fire lane, sometimes as long as 30 minutes. They have an entire parking lot and they choose to block the fire lane. Shouldnt they be teaching, by example, the laws for driving? Wouldnt it be beneficial to let the student learn how to get in and out of a parking space? If they are failing to teach that then what else are they not teaching. Its dangerous enough on the road. If your not taught proper safety and laws then that is no help.

Stay away! Do not I repeat do not send your child to this driving school. I enrolled my child in March of 2018 I went in and signed the contract (which was being conducted by high school kids that shouldve been the first red flag) they ask if you want to pay the deposit then do payments or if you want to pay the full amt up front. I chose to pay the full amt. Due to the teen girl (who was taking my payment) rush to get to the food court my pay info was input wrong. I wasnt made aware of this until test day came for my child and he was told if he passed the test he couldnt get the paperwork to get his learners permit due to his parent making only a $50 payment. First off where in customer service do you ever blame the mistake on the customer who for one told you to charge the FULL amount, second I guess its the customers fault as we are the ones inputting the charge amount in YOUR system (Im being sarcastic now)Back on subject I was called by my child informing me of the mistaken payment and was told I needed to physically come up there and make a payment. I asked if they could take the payment over the phone since I work nights and I was told NO. I go back into the driving school to make the payment and then was told that they cant take my payment at this time as they need to contact the finance dept and investigate why only $50 was taken out. I contacted the corporate office and explained the situation and was told they could take payments over the phone and O had the choice to pay the balance or take my child out the school and get a refunded I opted for the refund and a different driving school as anyone would who has had this amount of bad customer service from any company. We are now 4 months out and still no refund I have contacted the corporate office 4 times and each time I am told they need to contact finance department and will get back to me and I never hear back well I attempt a final call today and guess what Im told? That there is a $50 charge for a refund and at this point there is nothing to refund. Can you believe that? After their mistake they still chose to say since my child took 4 classes and they didnt catch THEIR error they will not refund my money that they had no problem taking from my account that day. BEWARE people go to Austin driving school where it is $50 cheaper AND they provide the courtesy service of picking up your child from high school and taking them to class if needed. I have always had pleasant customer service there and they provide your child with the essentials needed to ensure your child learns the proper driving techniques and rules. Sears would not even offer my child a book to study out of for upcoming test nor did they give them any resources to study on their own. Please, please, please do your research about this company before enrolling your child I dont want anyone to regret it as I did nor be out of money over someone elses error.

Can anyone tell me how to file a dispute?? They did not tell us they were closing, so My daughter can’t take her in-person driving instruction. I have tried for weeks to get in touch with them.

The instructor who drives on Saturdayis rude and does not pay attentionto the road. I waited right of way and on my time to go he was so unaware that he just slams on the brakes scaring me and person in the back, and does not even acknowledge his mistake. There are high schoolers who work there, they handle money, answer calls, and handle info. They are bad at their job, I scheduled a drving lesson and it took 3 reschedulings to finally get the times right. The room is a hazard in itself, horrible leaking accompanied by a terrible smell. The instructors are just rude in general, except the female.
