The Institute has not embraced the new technological advances in the music industry and does not teach on them. They are stuck in the old analog version of the music business and have yet to catch up to speed on current events. If you are interested in learning anything current in this industry regarding Music Production, or the Business, I would NOT recommend this school.

Graduate of Audio Engineering, about to take music business.Attending this Institute was one of the greatest experiences of my life.All of the staff are extremely kind, helpful and friendly.The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. They all go out of their way to help you understand any topic you may be struggling with.We began from step one and is very hand on throughout the entire program. Great experience and would recommend this amazing place to anyone.

Love this school. Every person who works at the school are so friendly and kind. They will care for you child like their own. They go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and to accommodate everyone no matter their circumstances. The owner is present and on site when you tour. Great atmosphere. They went over and beyond for me when I visited with my son, as I needed a ramp for a wheel chair and they built one for me. I cant say enough great things about this place.

Dark Horse was an excellent secondary education facility/program! They get you in and out, teaching you the necessities of being an audio engineer in the music industry. The information, friends, and resources that you gain from this experience is second-to-none, and I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to get his or her foot in the door in this industry!

Dark Horse is an inspiring place for students and musicians alike. As a recording artist that had the pleasure of recording at Dark Horse and working with a team of students, I can honestly say that these students knew more after just 12 weeks than many other engineers I have worked with. And, the vibe at Dark Horse is hard to beat.

I would not suggest attending this program at Dark Horse to anyone. Very unorganized, equipment is constantly breaking, very little student support and way too expensive for what you are taught. You are not tested on the information you are given, therefore lack the challenge of retaining the information. Lots of drama behind the scenes. Definitely not worth $12,500 for 16 weeks.@Tom- I am very disappointed that Dark Horse failed me as a student. I have tried to contact you and reach out to the school. Nobody calls back. This only reiterates the lack of professionalism and competency of Dark Horse as I’ve stated above.
