My daughter loves it here. The instructors are fantastic with the kids and my daughter is learning discipline and self defense. I highly recommend bringing your kids down for a trial and I am sure both you and your child will want to sign up!

Ive gone to Art Beins Karate for a long time and Im happy to say that this experience has been great. The instructors are helpful, kind, and always help you learn with a smile on your face. I also love the different belt ranks because after I complete a rank Ill always have more things to learn. Although they teach karate they also teach you life skills like etiquette, discipline and self-defense. Im happy to say that I would recommend this to anyone interested in the martial arts.

I had tried several different kickboxing classes before I found Art Beins over 6 years ago and because of them, I have fallen in love with exercise! This is largely because the exceptional training here is not led by fitness instructors but by qualified and experienced martial artists who have devoted their lives to developing their craft. Master Beams’ vast depth of knowledge, attention to proper technique, endless array of variety (where no two classes are alike), who always engages you both physically and mentally, are what consistently sets Arts Beins above their competitors. I think the fact that most students in the classes have been here far, far longer than I have says it all. Once you’ve experienced this place, you never want to leave!

I have been going to Art Beins for 8 years now, and I just love it. First off, your kids will not be introduced to kicking and punching right away. They will be taught about respect, etiquette, honesty, and they will have a yes I can attitude. The instructors are phenomenal. They know how to work with children. I always was afraid to go once a week, but now, I want to go as many times as I can. I highly recommend this school for kids that are not as social because ABK is known making great friendships. Also, adults can join the very popular kickboxing program later at night. Art Beins karate is a 5 star school.

Best Martial Arts school around! Period! Teaches more than just kicks and punches to the student. They also teach TONS of valuable life lessons unlike other schools. I had to visit 3 other schools before I finally found Art Beins Karate.

Where do I start, these guys are great for my children. Master beams and his other teachers have spent so much time teaching my 8 yr old daughter and my 5 year old son so much respect. They have grow into little people who look into your eye when they talk and know how to defend themselves. I would recommend these guys to anyone. They really helped out raising your children into respectful and motivated little individuals. Highly recommend.

We have been going to ABK in Freehold for past 8+ years. Our son is now second degree black belt and daughter is 1st degree black belt. Maser Beams and his team have trained our kids how to defend themselves if the situation arise. Our son has been taking classes at ABK Freehold for over 6 years. Through the outstanding guidance and training he has received from all of the instructors at the school, he has not only grown as a martial artist but also as a person and he will soon be testing for his black belt. This is a testament to the leadership from the entire Art Beins School, but specifically Master Beams. He, along with Master Merino and the other teachers, are constantly challenging the students and are able to tune their instruction to the needs of the individual students.

I am Kedar and went to Art Beins Karate and I think it is the best Karate place ever. I think this because the people are helpful and if you are struggling on things they will always come and help. Even if you are hurt they let you sit out and calm down. Also, they try to put you with some one your size so that you dont get hurt. They care about you. I think they are the best.

Art Beins Karate was the best thing my parents could have done for me as a child. I have been training under Master Beams for almost 13 years and have never looked back. The punches and kicks were fun, but what I learned the most was how to be disciplined, committed, and to always give people more than what they expect. The friendships I made at ABK are the strongest I have ever or ever will have and I will always be grateful for it.

My parents wanted me to sign up for karate at Art Beines but I was intimidated at first. Master Marino spent time with me to build my confidence to attend class regularly. I have been going to Art Beins Karate for the last 7+ years.When I first came to ABK, I was over 250lbs, that 1st year I lost 30lbs, it felt great. Since then I have gained a little back, but now I go to help maintain my stress level, I go 2-3 times a week and Im more focused than ever before! Three years ago, I signed up my son at ABK in Freehold. My main goal was that he would be able to defend himself. I had no idea of all the other things he would receive from the staff all along the way. Masters Beams and Marino, along with the rest of the team are so attuned to each student. They know when to praise and when to push the students beyond their comfort levels so that each student achieves their personal best. I am watching the growth of my sons skills in martial arts and more importantly, his confidence in himself increases as he faces new challenges in class. The life lessons they try to squeeze into class are also very helpful. I am so glad that we signed up at ABK Freehold, instead of another martial arts school!

I remember calling Master Carl Beams right after my son was on the receiving end of a relentless bully in 7th grade. We went through all the proper protocol with the school, etc., but my son needed more. He was quiet, withdrawn, self conscious and lacked self confidence. I did not want to force him into taking karate classes, as he did not want to go. My husband was of the opposite opinion - push him to join and take it from there. Master Beams graciously offered a few courtesy classes to see how it went. Although he remained quiet and shy for quite some time, he stuck with it. I am proud to say 6 years later, he is a brown belt and hopefully will be testing for his black belt in the Spring. I cannot say enough about the school, the staff in general, of course Master Beams and Master Marino!

Cant say enough great things about ABK. Through the years as a student and beyond Ive learned from everyone there how to build a strong character on and off the mat. My daughter has been a student of this school for just over 6 years. The Instructors are all very friendly and welcoming.

It took till i was 34, 3 knee surgeries, and a hip replacement to realize how far i had let myself go. I was 307lbs, and struggled in the simplest of physical activities to the point where even tying my shoes took great effort. Through mutual friends i was introduced to Master Carl Beams at Art Beins Karate in Freehold Nj and through his friendship and unmatched instruction in martial arts and kickboxing I have not only gotten my life back on track but have lost over 100lbs in the process. Carl has taken great interest not only in the martial arts aspect but in the all around lives of his students. If you are familiar with young teenagers you will clearly see how the students of ABK stand apart. The respect and discipline of his students stand out noticably from moment you set foot in his school. I personally cant thank Carl Beams and Art Beins Karate enough for getting me back on track, and if you are considering martial arts training or kickboxing then you owe it to yourself to give them a call. ~Believe and Achieve~
