Rated, Worst college in California for good reasons.

My advice to everybody that is interested in this IT program is to keep looking and do not go here. They will make false promises before you enroll to get you enrolled. The classes are really rushed and there is barely any hands on training anymore. And overall the school itself is really unorganized. KEEP LOOKING I promise you’ll find something better.

I took a class with Unitek about a year ago, and while the class was pretty good, it took them over 3 months to get me my promo item (a $500 amazon gift card). The instructor flat out said in class that he was going to ignore Uniteks lab equipment for the in-class labs because it wasnt set up correctly, but the instructor was VERY good and even had remote lab equipment we used that was set up perfectly for the labs. I might consider going back to Unitek for another course, but if I do, Ill go into it ready for the hassle and headache that come with it.

Can be expensive but the wait isnt long. They do everything they can to help you pass and find jobs. Made some odd the best friends ever too.

Absolutely amazing college, I was able to still work, make money , and get my degree in 12 months. Recommend 10/10

Google makes you mark a star or you cant post. so I did otherwise I would not mark anything.This school (if you wanna call it that) is a joke, and I feel sorry for the teachers there. My wife just finished the online course and the teachers are amazing. The online system needs a lot of work. I felt like she was doing classes, in the stone ages with Dial up. Its all about the money to them, and I am considering legal action for her to get her 10 thousand back. Its a joke 8 months all that money, and almost perfect grades she cant take the credits anywhere else.Admissions bait and mislead her, left out very important information about the TEAS test. Now after all the money (CASH) spent and all great grades, she is told she has to wait another year to take the test again. (HELL NO) why so they can add more requirements and cost her more money? She was not informed, and the employee that did this is no longer there so of course no one has to take responsibility for the SCHOOLS actions. The Financial department doesnt seem to know how to fill forms out right and it took 6 months, and countless calls. Out of the 8 months for them to get a form done to defer old loans, and up to 15 emails and 4 people to seem to get right another form right. Customer Service is not a word in this place (cant even call it a school) that should be used. They should be investigated and funding pulled by the state. My next writing is to the board, and our congressmen about this location to do just that. We are left with waiting a year and having to pay more money, or switch schools lose money and time to start over, or what has happened leaving someone heart broken and ready to just not follow her dream. These so called professionals have killed the desire and dream of a great nurse, and she is woman that treats this field with passion and conviction. One that gives true care to the people she cares for. She is the definition of the word NURSE. The people at UNITEK College should learn from her. Stand up be a SCHOOL and what the word means, care for your students, nurture the dreams and desires. Support and help reach their goals, not take someones time away from family and hard earned savings killing the desire to continue. I read all the other reviews here, if anyone also wants to contact the board and help shut them down please email me I will forward you the needed information.By the way My wife had all As and one B, also on the third attempt did reach the required score on the TEAS test to move on, but the timeline and guidelines where not given or told ahead of time so she is now being told she has to wait a year to do it again. This school is a LIE.. they rush you to get your loan approve so they can get their money. After taking all my pre requisites I was hoping that all I need to worry is my TEAS but one day i was ask to come down to the campus to have a meeting with one of the admission consultant. The consultant told me that I have to retake all my subject to boost up my grades in order for me to get into the program! I was so shock thinking about the time , effort and money that I spent just for the pre requisites. are you kidding me??Who ever read this; BEWARE coming to this school. This is not what I was told the first day I started the class with them... so FAKE.. God Bless all the victim to this school.They should help their students to get in to the program not to take classes again and pay another $1500 each of the subject. So disappointed!!!

I do not recommend taking any courses in the IT program here. It was the worst training Ive ever attended and there was no hands-on training. It was very disorganized and unprofessional and I felt cheated of my time.

Worst place ever! Went here a few years ago without really knowing what I wanted. I was a scared 18 year fresh out of high school looking for some guidance. I was mainly interested in anything medical but was also curious about IT since I always had a knack at computers and tech stuff. When I asked about it the guy made me feel like crap! Literally gave me a smirk and asked if I was serious, even told me he didnt think it would be a good fit. I walked out and never went back. I know he only said that because I was a girl! Something I will seriously never ever forget! I continued to look into the medical field and now I am pretty successful and happy with my job! Dont go here! Look for place where you will feel encouraged to grow.They are also a rip off! I found a different school with the same Pharmacy Tech program that charged about $8,000 less then here! Boston Reed College look it up.

It has been several years since my time as a student at Unitek College. Therefore the focus on this review is based on my post graduate interactions as an Alumni of their LVN to ADN program. Following completion of their nursing program I was thrown into a competitive market where employers demand a minimum of one year experience. However, I needed an entry job to build that one year experience and most entry Registered Nursing jobs require one year experience. Uniteks post grad job assistance program helped me land that first job. Further down the road, I began my pursuit for higher education and encountered a few roadblocks requiring credit validation. Unitek advocated for me writing verification letters, sending certification and pretty much was there assisting and helping me in any way they could in a positive, caring, timely manner. This means a lot to me. In summation, once you join the Unitek family, they WILL take care of you.

Their honesty in how they run their LVN is questionable. I highly recommend you do not go to this school. I have only heard bad things about it!

Took a CCNP course here. They load you up with plenty of knowledge and material. While they do prepare you to pass the certification tests, they get into a lot of material not on the tests or in the canned course from Cisco. That being said, Cisco tests on a lot of topics not in their own official study guides or courses.

I did the I.T 9month program and wish I went somewhere else. I wasted $15,000 this school is over priced and dont even give a option to have a physical book. They rush you through schooling and dont give you time to take your cert after you finish your class. YOU HAVE ONLY 18 months voucher for your certs after you graduate. I later found out about The Stride Center in Oakland that works on getting all their students scholarships for students making funding easy and actually work with students prepair to get their certs & classes are longerr &cheaper!!!. Unitek only cares for their students payments instead of motivating their students. they lost a lot of good teachers. They are way too strict on attedance and find it stupid that they think we can learn everything about A+, Networking &Security each in 5 weeks. I wish I never invested soo much in Unitek.

I found a good school after leaving Unitek and it was $4000 less and they actually value there student...Unitek college was my first college ever after graduating from high school and i had really high hopes but everything was a lie from the very first day!! They didnt tell us that we have to additional $3000 for prerequisites they said the program is for only $32000 but actually its for $35000 and they dont tell you on the first day that if you fail one semester you have to pay another $7000 to redo it..instructiors intentionally fail you for smallest mistakes ever so that you fail and repeat the course again and thats how theu make monry..please people I highly recommend you guys not to go to that college...

This is exspensive and the amount you pay doesnt amount to the quality learning you should be getting , it is a nice enviorment to be in and learn things but ask about the instructors that they have on hand before you decide to apply

No drinks for IT training. Other companies make sure there are snacks and drinks besides tap water when you pay $5595 for a one week course.

Worst school ever. Telling me I cant refund my money tho nobody inform me about the 3 day refund policy thingy. And emailing me over and over again, forcing me to go to their school!!!! Greedy school
