The early education team at Alvarado KinderCare have gone above and beyond to support our son in his academic. Social, and functional skill development. They do this with a smile on their face and love radiating in everything they do with their children. Highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a well rounded experience ( child care or preschool) for your little ones.

I have had my 3 children enrolled in Kindercare since 2011. Starting with my oldest child to my youngest 2. The staff has always been amazing, caring and loving. My children have learned a lot and excelled in preparation for Kindergarten. Im so thankful for this facility.

Two of our kids attended this location but at different time frame (they are 6 yrs apart). Ive included Pros & Cons below:ProsTeachers are really great (specially Ms. Maybel, Ms. Harvi)Phonics class is good, my daughter learned a lotNeither of my kids complained about being mistreated, either by other kids or staffLocation is easily accessibleConsMy youngest daughter got sick often while attending this location. She would get sick around Tue/Wed, I even had to take her to the emergency room once due to excessive vomiting and high fever. They had incidents/cases of hand to mouth (I am not sure if this is common in daycare centers). Thankfully, we didnt get affected.I also want to share my experience regarding billing and communication issues. We notified staff members the date that we were planning to withdraw from school. I asked several times for a form so I can submit a written notice but the front desk staff were not available. By the time i got a hold of them, I was told that the notice is less than 2-weeks. I explained that it took me a while to get a hold of the form but had already expressed verbally to multiple staff previously. I followed up with two messages trying to reason with the Director that it wasnt fair to pay $400 for service we didnt receive, especially since they were not available to give me the form. I didnt hear from her, instead, we received a letter from a collection agency. I religiously paid every week, despite my daughter missing so many days due to illnesses. However, they still want me to pay for an extra week even though they contributed to the late written notice. To make things worse, they didnt attempt to call and just referred me to the collection agency. How is that fair?

My son Kayden has been attending the Alvarado KinderCare since September, when he turned 4 months old. He has flourished and grown so much under the care of the infant 1 teachers, Ms. Yelanda and Ms. Katherine. They take great care of our son and are in tune with his needs. I appreciate the daily communication from his teachers, along with pictures throughout the day, which helps me stay connected to what Kayden is learning. The teachers also partner closely with the parents when it comes to feeding and nap time routines, to ensure we are aligned and consistent. Thank you Alvarado KinderCare for making Kaydens first experience with ECE a great one.

I started researching daycares back in May of 2018. At that time I wasn’t 100% sure of where I would be living. I knew my decision was going to be based around my children’s daycare as at that time I had the “luxury” of looking for a new job. I had thought of moving to Elk Grove which is where I first found KinderCare, after weighing all the pros and cons of moving I set out my search for a local daycare. There were multiple KinderCare locations and I toured 3 (plus some non KC daycares which were totally not up to par). All 3 where nice but from the moment I saw Alvarado KC I knew that was my first choice. Jump ahead to Nov, after 5 months on the waitlist they had not one but the two openings I needed for my kids (infants and todds). Now, my daughter is in the infant 2s and although I absolutely love her class, her teachers and everything about it this review isn’t going to touch much on it because my daughter is an angel and pretty much rolls with anything. To give a brief synopsis the class is amazing, they give you daily written reports, have great arts and crafts, fun music and stimulating play. Breakfast, lunch and snacks provided (except for formula or baby food). This review is geared towards my toddler, his class, his teachers and the administration. When beginning our daycare journey my son had speech delays, he actually didn’t talk at all not even “mama”. He also had some issues with pushing others, not out of aggression but it was his way of trying to communicate trying to play. The pushing however then led to frustration I think on his part which led to hitting. It was becoming a huge issue and concern. The teachers and administrators had meetings with me, developed action plans, we enrolled him in learning adventure phonics (which has been amazing for his verbal skills btw), I can’t summarize all that this center has done to work with us. When the meetings started I thought “OMG they’re going to kick him out” I was so scared because as a parent I didn’t want my child in a daycare where they simply “watch them” I wanted my child to have a routine, a curriculum, structure. As a parent I was freaking out because this is where I wanted my son! The short of it is, they never gave up o my baby boy they worked diligently to help him with his speech, his behavior, everything. I LOVE this center and owe them so much. My son is thriving in ways that make me so proud, he loves going to daycare he loves his teachers hugs them every morning and before he leaves (sometimes they get a fist bump) he sings whole songs now and knows his alphabet and numbers and it’s only been 6 months at the center. We still have a long way to go but I know I couldn’t have done it with out them (I tried speech therapy with Kaiser twice and was told he’s too young come back when he’s three). If you want the best start for your child then this is definitely the place to go. I wish I could tell you all they’ve actually done but then this review would be more like a pamphlet and not a page!

Our daughter was born premature and came home from the NICU with a feeding tube. The daycare we had planned on using would not take our daughter with the tube. After calling many, many different daycare centers, Alvarado Kindercare was the ONLY one that would allow our daughter to attend their school. They had no prior experience with feeding tubes however they were willing to learn. Our daughter has been with them since July 2018 and we are so happy and pleased with the level of care and dedication Kindercare has shown to her (we love Ms. Yelonda!) I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a formal daycare center for their little ones.
