MSJCC is an excellent Montessori school for kids. My son went this school for last 2 and half year. I can see clear transformation in him. Best part is Miss Mei and her staff focus on basic etiquette and all around development. It helps us lot as parents. I would highly recommend.

I like the fact that MSCJJ teaches my kids a variety of skills from singing Chinese songs, reading them Diwali story, and doing map crafts to help them understand the globe. Not to mention the essential daily habits such as brushing teeth, correctly wiping/flushing after using toilet, etc.The only thing that I hope can be added on is some meat or more protein for lunch as its currently served as vegetarian. But its better than none, right?!

I got hooked up to this place the first time I visited. Unlike other Montessori places I visited, all the children were very friendly and outspoken. Both my sons went to this place for their preschool. My second son just graduated today. Ms. Mei is super professional and loving. They not only flourish academically, but also built very good characters and manner. My second son was strong willed and I was so concerned that he would suffer a lot beginning school. Ms. Mei hugged him a lot at lunch, during activity, etc, during his first months to give him the sense of safety that he needed. She really cared so much. She also made a lot of very good recommendations to us as the boys grew. One example of her sense of love is she understand each child has their own schedule, and observes them very carefully to understand their readiness for potty training and napping. She trained my kids when they are ready, and the process went so fast and smooth. This is truly a place that both my boys and I will miss for a long time.

I sent my kids here when I first moved to Fremont 2 years ago and it is a great preschool, with warm teachers and friendly children. This is a child centered school where kids get to select activities that interest them during part of the day, and then there is also circle time where they sing songs and learn to follow directions. Outdoor play is very important for young bodies and this place has a safe and clean outside area with play structure and seasonal outdoor activities such as water play in the summer. Lunch is provided during the school year, and its also open during long breaks and summer for working parents.

I googled for preschools in my area and got the Mission SanJose childrens center in the list. My daughter going to this school from 6 months and we see lot of improvement in her academic and social skills. My wife and I are so happy about this school. At first we were skeptical to send our daughter to this school but we are very happy with her improvement day by day. Teachers are so friendly with kids and parents too. The curriculum is also good. Along with the academic and social skills they teach kids daily activities. Even in the weekends also my daughter asks for school. Teachers do something for very occasion. They make kids to do hand crafts for the occasion. Even my daughter is eating well after going to this school. I definitely recommend this school for the parents who are looking for preschool in Fremont, CA.

My first impression of this preschool is clean and tidy. It is a big classroom, but organized very well. So many education toys for kids to learn and a big playground for kids to play. Mrs. Mei treated our daughter very well. My daughter learned many songs and math concept from her. We are very happy to see my daughter grow at MSJCC.

My son has been attending Mission San Jose Childrens Center for the past year. We have been extremely happy there. This was the third preschool we tried for him and definitely the best fit! He has done very well with the Montessori model and the staff is remarkable. The head teacher is amazing with the students. He has grown so much here both academically and socially. We will be sending our daughter there next year and are looking forward to it!

We feel lucky to have been with this preschool for 3 years. Teachers were always nice and patient to my daughter no matter how hard she cried when she first came to school at the age of 2. Now my daughter has graduated. Now and then she would mention that she missed her teachers and friends there. The class is well organized. Kids from 2 to 5 are peaceful with each other. Sometimes they work on their own, sometimes they cooperate. Behaviors are well taught. Even small kids can focus on their own work and do not disturb others. Teachers communicate well with parents when they need parents cooperation to improve kids behavior.Teachers are always open to any specific request or discussion. If a request is not doable, they will let parents know the reason. The communication is easy, and teachers are responsible to kids. Each year there will be a parent-teacher meeting. Parents will receive a long list of scored items, to learn how the kid has progressed in behavior, in practical life, in academic, etc. It exceeds my expectation.

This school is a safe, happy, enrich environment. Teachers are loving , caring and friendly. We really appreciate the teachers take care of my child so well in this school. My child is pretty successful in this program after attending for two years. He has great Montessori education experience, doing things independently, and learning how to create and write stories, likes to read books, doing math activities, and enjoy play with his friends at school. We are sending our second child this fall. We can’t think any better school than this school in this area.

Weve followed Ms. Mei now for about 5 years and feel she really knows what it takes to get absolutely the most out of a child. Her and staff run a top notch teaching facility based on the Montessori curriculum. The staff is very patient, seem to spend a lot of one-on-one time with each student, provide regular feedback, and engage in activities that bring out the creative juices in a child. My son started with Ms. Mei at the Montessori down the street (5 years ago) and currently my daughter just finished up at Mission San Jose Children’s House. I’d like to thank Ms. Mei and her staff for providing a solid foundation for my children in their early years!

My son has been in this school for almost 2 years. He learned a lot and made many friends, and loved the school very much. During some vacations, the school provides camps which helps a lot when both my wife and I need to work.

My family are grateful for all the staff at MSJCC. Ever since arriving at MSJCC, and especially through the help of Ms. Mei, the director, my son is happier, confident, and more cooperative in group learning and play. Ms. Mei is experienced and patient with the children and knows how to create an atmosphere of harmony. Every morning, soft music plays as the children settle and begin their work periods. Children model naturally formed social etiquette so the younger ones, including my son, can learn from. MSJCC also emphasizes personal hygiene and dignity of the person at a young age; each child is encouraged to brush teeth after lunch before they take their naps, and to practice buttoning own shirts, putting on shoes, or cleaning up after themselves, etc. I am touched that my son can demonstrate control over his own physical needs at such a young age. Besides harmony, good relationship, Montessori practical life materials and personal well-being, Ms. Mei has very creative and artistic ideas for the children. I am genuinely surprised at the carefully wrapped art work and projects (such as a toy sewed up by my own son) my son brings home. My son has learned much fine motor skills here that will surely prepare him for more rigorous Montessori academic work. The large, beautiful artificial turf in the back yard is my sons favorite too, where he can be seen playing hide and seek with older kids, a beautiful and truly harmonious picture. I recommend this place without reservation.

My kid has been in MSJCC for some years. so far, we are satisfied with this program mainly due to the following reasons:1 Kids behave well and get well with each other2 Environment is clean3 Program is well balancedComparing to other Montessori school nearby this program has more craft, singing. lt also has Christmas and Halloween event4 Head teacher, Ms Mei, has many years of teaching experience. She communicates in time about kids behavior or things that can be improved5 I am impressed that teachers come out in the morning to welcome kids everyday and teach kids say have a good day to parentsone cons is that assistant teachers has changed relative fast recently. I hope some good teachers can stay longer.. but I do see assistant teachers help on different projects.Although it is a relative small program I feel my kid is thriving and happy here.

Our son was in daycare since he was 10-month old, and he was very happy there. We changed daycare because the previous owner was moving out to LA.We found this place and went there for 4 days; and we ended up brining him back. The Place refused to give refund and even blamed us for that. The staff members there are so impolite, impatient and negligent. The first day we came in with my son, who was 2 years old. He was curious and a bit alert to the new environment, but he didnt cry at all. I sat with him and he was just watching other kids play quietly. Less than 20 minutes later, the owner Ms Mei came over and told us it was better for the parents to leave, and then she took away my son by force. My son cried hard immediately and was so scared. It wasnt pleasant at all but we respected her opinions and left with sorry heart.Around lunch time, my parents stopped by and dropped off the coat. The daycare person refused to let them go in and see my son. That afternoon Ms Mei called and asked us not to come in during operational hour, and claimed my son cried hard after he saw his grandparents. However, my parents were very positive that my son didnt get the chance to see them. Is this even legal in California by refusing family visit? I am seriously thinking about reporting this to the State licensing board. In the following days things got worse, my son was so scared every morning when we dropped him off and so unhappy in the afternoon after we picked him back. On Thursday morning, when we walked to the center from parking lot, my son was desperately grabbing the door, sitting on floor and crying to say NO. One of the younger staff member came out and took a look at us, and then WENT IN by herself without a word. I cant believe that is how they provide love and care to children there. That happened even when parents were present! We had no idea of how my son was doing over there, but every day he ate very little of the lunch we packed and didnt seem to have good nap. When we told them we were no longer going there and the owner was upset. She went on and on about how we didnt discipline children and how wrong it was to consider childrens feeling. Of course, she refused to refund for the remaining of the month, which to us, it was due to the negligence of the place. This place is not recommended for any children at any levels.

Having just moved to Fremont, I was looking for a preschool for my two year old son. I came across Mission San Jose Children Center. Ms. Mei was so friendly and answered every question I had.I love their curriculum and the fact that they also teach kids daily living activities in addition to learning. By the end of the first year, my son who was so shy was now very social and talkative, knew his colors, numbers and ABC, and was making great progress.I can never thank Ms. Mei and her staff enough. Especially Ms. Kendra and Ms. Soulie. Sadly our family had to move to another city and leave MSJCC.MSJCC was a blessing to my family.

Some update after my last review 1.5 year ago. We have 3 kids and have been in this school for over 3 years. Really love everything about it.My 3rd one started at MSJCC when she was 2 year old exactly. And I felt this is the best choice ever, that I should send my other kids to MSJCC as early as 2 year old.1. I still remember how surprise I was when I went to the preschool parent day to see my little ones progress. It was only few weeks after she started, and I couldnt believe how much she learned and how much she could do. MSJCC follows the Montessori curriculum. I was very shocked, that my little over 2 year old could do a lot independent projects by herself. She could manage herself so well to make good choice to pick a project, do the project nicely and independent, organize the project items and put it back into the shelf, then pick the next one.2. Now, she is in MSJCC for almost 2 years. She has grown up and act like a small leader in the classroom. At home, she acted like a teacher to teach us shapes, colors, counting numbers, alphabet, recognizing letters, numbers. She sang a lot songs and remembered all the words of a song. She colored pictures, draw pictures sometimes too. I know she learned all of those from MSJCC, although she is less than 4 year-old.3. Depends on the kids personality, strength and weakness, teacher really pay attention to help them grow as an independent, gain both school skills and personal life skills.Such as, my little one is left handed, the teacher observed that she is a little weak to draw a straight line. So they make a plan for her to practice on this.4. Teachers are so nice and willing to chat with parents all the time when they are available.I learned so much from them, from understanding better of my kids, to getting advice on how to raise and encourage them to be a better individual. Although my two oldest are already graduated from MSJCC, teachers are still remember their personalities and give me good advice when I face challenges.5. Classroom and backyard are expanded, which is very nice. Kids get bigger spaces now.6. Healthy lunch is provided, which is great for busy working parents.7. Last, a minor thing that really touched me every time when I drop off my kid.Every morning, once I just entered from the door, I heard the teacher is already standing there and say Hi, good morning xxx to her, asked her to put her bag into her cubby, and say Bye to Mommy, say Have a good day, Mommy. I know most school does this, but the detail, the friendliness I got here, the manner that kids practice every morning, really cheer up my day. From all the experience I had with MSJCC and other preschools, I really wish I started all my 3 kids at age-2 at MSJCC.

Oh boy. How I hate to write this review. Maybe the previous rave reviews are from parents of children enrolled in the full day program. Well, I am letting you know its not all rainbows and butterflies here. This goes out to parents who have an interest in the half day program or those parents who believe in simple equality. We are a Montessori enriched family. After transplanting from Washington state and witnessing first hand some of the best montessori schools around I was frantic looking for one that could compare. I thought I found it in MSJCC.I had a negative gut feeling about MSJCC when I toured it and should have stuck to my gut. Why?My simple questions about the montessori method seemed lost on the head teacher. When i asked for a sample schedule of the day she verbally told me instead of having a hard copy to let me take home. I took a huge risk and enrolled my child and yes, Im still really upset with myself for doing it.What happened? On my childs third school day there, I entered to see her and another child sitting at two separate desks in the DARK unstimulated by a teacher or toys. All the other children were outside playing. The head teacher was wandering around doing her own thing. She tells my daughter I arrived. My child quickly ran up to me bawling her eyes out. Initially I thought she was in trouble from doing something bad and the school acted on it by putting her in time out. Nope! It turns out PART TIME students arent allowed to play outside!! Asfinkstersayswhat? Exactly!!!My daughter was being punished for not being a full day student. That is essentially the short version of what I witnessed. Oh, and lets not forget the sitting in the dark part. Really, what the heck!?After a heated discussion with the head teacher, all while holding my traumatized daughter in my arms I was absolutely furious and high tailed it out of there.Sadly, this has been practiced in school years past. The head teacher was going to make an exception for my daughter the next day since I was obviously upset. Umm, no thank you - I will NOT bring her back! What else happens when Im away? If only I could be a fly on the wall at that so called, school.Shame, shame, SHAME on the teachers there for discriminating against a child who has a parent that doesnt have to keep them there all day. Shame, Shame, SHAME on them for letting kids sit in a dark classroom, unstimulated by a teacher or peer. How dare they call themselves a loving, nurturing environment when all I saw was neglect and sadness in my childs eyes.Im sure they will change their ways after my incident there, but I strongly consider thinking twice before attending this school.Oh, I also forgot to mention no apologies were ever given either. Shows you they dont think what they did was wrong. To each their own I guess. My own says RUN far, far, FAR away from this place!
