Careful about sending your kids here, these people are frauds sometimes- I was a student enrolled in Music Education. Coming from an underprivileged background, I knew I needed a public service job with tenure, benefits, and loan forgiveness, and I felt it went hand-in-hand with my passions for music, teaching, and helping kids. They gave me high-interest, private student loans to help pay for their ridiculous tuition while I was a music education major. My grandpa cosigned my student loans, because he believed that music education was a good investment for me.When this administration took the campus over, they cut the entire music program, fired the faculty, and dropped all the music education students (it was only me). They told me I didnt have a choice, I could either get a *worthless* performance degree because it was the only thing my credits were still good for, or transfer to a new school and add years to my education. This was a lie and it was fraud. They were legally obligated to finish the degree I started and signed up for and paid for. Its called a teach-out and their failure to finish my education degree was fraud. But because I was a trusting kid, I didnt know I had to have a lawyer in the room with me when I talked to these executives, when they told me my major was canceled, so I took them at their word.Fast Forward, it is now past the statute of limitations when I realized what criminals they were (and are, these same people still run this campus). They even took white-out to their records and erased the record of me being an education major. They are telling me I was never enrolled in the program, and that I just coincidentally happened to be taking education classes for no reason, that there was no fraud, and that I am harassing them with slander.Ive defaulted on my student loans, there are no jobs that I can use to pay all my bills and these loans besides. The cost of this schools fraud isnt just on me; my grandpa is paying out of his retirement on the loans he cosigned, that were used to pay for my music education. This campus is siphoning my grandpas retirement money, today, to pay on the fraud they committed on me 12 years ago.If youre looking to pay top dollar for a private school, Id recommend going to one that isnt run by frauds who lie to and take advantage of their students. Graduating in 2009 with a worthless degree that was forced on me, that I didnt choose, and a mountain of debt, ruined my life. Permanently. They burned my chance at a future to line their pockets with criminal fraud and got away with it.

Although the sticker price is high...most students do not pay that amount. Like many colleges...you get out what you put in. I found the business instructors to be a nice mix of career professors and real world business professionals. This provided a blend of learning/understanding and applying concepts; they always had time for me and questions I had.The facilities over need attention across a variety of elements which they are working on.The student body is filled with great people. Many of the people I met still talk daily despite living states and even continents away.

My son is far across the Pacific Ocean and USA Country at Midland. The people (From office staff, teachers, coaches, bank manager, super market clerks are kind Midwest country loving people. What you are reading for those students who say dont go here is a silver spoon, cry baby dont want to go class brats. Yes this school makes sure they attend class and graduate. My son is now a Teacher and yes he actually passed his national tests...unlike others who come out of big universities...so yes...great school.

Save your money this place sucks, especially the dorms, unless you like living with brown recluse spiders, mice, and no hot water :)

Dont do it. Save your money and go elsewhere. it may look enticing but once you are in the tuition continues to go up while your scholarship and financial aid continues to go down. They just try to squeeze the money out of your pockets for a sub par education. Literally any other private school would be a better choice.

Living Hell. Attending Midland was one of the worst experiences of my life. I have only been attending the school for almost a semester and I can tell you that I wouldnt wish this place on anyone. There are too many cons to write about so I will focus on the major ones. Firstly, if you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle, forget about it at Midland. The caff has the worst quality of food I have ever experienced. The caff workers are rude and dampen your mood. My dorm room has gashes in the walls and is in a general state of disrepair. I havent had a stable connection to the wifi in my entire time being here. The quality of this school amounts to a community college. If it were 4k a year, then it might be worth the quality youll receive here, but instead its 35k. On top of that, you will have to pay for the damages that the neighbors on your flood committed. If you are considering going here for athletics, I would advise against it. The coaching staff here is awful. I came for soccer, there are many players who feel degraded and have lost their love for the game. My friends on the other sports teams have only negative things to say about their respective coaching staffs. Most of the classes I have taken seemed pointless. DO NOT LET THEM PULL YOU IN. Going to Midland was the worst decision of my life. It set has been a great waste of money and has set me back. I cannot even explain how horrible it is as Midland. There are many many more cons to write about, but I dont have the time. Learn from my mistake... DONT GO TO MIDLAND!

For their Welcome Week, ALL of their events are not only mandatory, but your grade depends on going to them. No one with logic as absurd as the people at Midland University should have that kind of power. Absolutely pathetic.

Wouldnt suggest this school to anyone. Not very formal, nor do they take pride in their students. Horrible campus view and the surrounding areas have little to nothing to occupy your time if you are bored. The campus is trying to make a quick buck.

This school is not worth the amount of money they charge. Its a private or was a private institution that leaves you in over 33k in dept. I would not suggest this school to anyone because the whole entire school and dorms are run down. There isnt anything nice to see or do except look at corn fields. Athletes be weary because you will probably end up being screwed over in the financial aid office, Athlete speaking from experience. The only formal thing about this place is the kitchen staff and even they dont have the opportunity to cook descent meals half the time because all of the schools funding is going into someones pocket somewhere. Sorry but this is the sad reality of this school.

TERRIBLE PLACE! People who have been in the dorms tell about how they are in dis-repair. Also, cafeteria food is the worst I have ever experienced. The staff could care less about you. You are just a number at this college. Dont make the mistake I did --->DONT GO HERE!!!!

You can get services of the same quality, even better, at a college half the price. Ammenities are also quite outdated.

If I wanted to write a book about everything bad at Midland I definitely could. But I am going to keep it short and to the point. Midland is a very large waste of time and money. First off, 36,000 or whatever it is, is a complete joke of a price for a place with such bad quality amenities, the dorms are horrible quality with paint chips all over and stains on the floors, no A/C in some of the dorms and you cant even control the heat. The bathrooms are horrid along with the food. In the student center the pool tables are not even able to be played on because of the one broken pool stick and the half set of pool balls. If you are paying so much money you would at least think they could afford new pool tables. In high school I was always a 3.5 student or above, here at midland my GPA was just under 3.0, I had one professor that I actually enjoyed and learned from, the others didnt know how to teach a class. My chemistry professor didnt even have a degree in Chemistry. For one of our exams the highest score in the class was a 60 out of 100. Dont get me wrong, some of the people at midland are amazing and I have made many friends I will stay in contact with for a very long time, but I have wasted over $15,000 for a semester of college. To me it seems as though they care more about their money rather than the student. If someone breaks something on your floor everyone has to pay for it (my PAD charge for the first semester exceeded $40) im a student in college, how do they expect me to have that paid off so I can get my transcripts sent? The food is horrible, the workers in the cafe are extremely rude, and you cant even get your own food, you have it served to you like you are still in high school. The cafe is only open until 7:00 PM everyday and on the weekends its only open until 5 PM! If you are an athlete and have practice until 10 PM like we did for baseball, you have to go out and spend your own money on food because almost every night we were missing dinner for practice.
