Please look into somewhere else because in this school you will be teaching yourself everything with little to no support except the already made power points that the teachers read off from. That is no way nursing school works because things are just thrown at the students and are expected to learn it by next week. I will be contacting corporate about the situation about Covid-19 because it is considered a joke by this school because they want students at the school for some odd reason where they claim its a better learning environment ITS NOT it is literally the same thing by reading things to the students at least they are safe in their home space.

Where do I start with this school, it is the most unprofessional school I have ever been to funny thing is when I started the program they preached about how professional they are(they totally are not). All they care about is money; they don’t care about the students at all. The director is the meanest rudest person I have come across she talks big talk about how she is trying to change gurnick and we should not pay attention to the bad reviews, I wonder why? I now know why because she was trying to deny the truth. I’ve notice that they delete any bad reviews; again the director is trying to deny the truth. All they do here is play the blame game, one person just blames another, if you have a question? Good luck trying to get the answer. They will say “I will find out for you” but never respond or follow up. They will forget that you even asked the a question the moment they step away from you, teachers never take responsibility for their actions, the first test we had only 2-5 people pass out of about 40 students and the teacher blamed the class she never self reflected and thought hey maybe this is my fault . The whole time I was here I had to teach myself they offer no student support, teachers never are clear on instructions and when you email them about it the will never respond back, but when you need to make payment they will respond within seconds. COVID is a joke to these people we were all cramped up in a room about 40 of us with no social distancing involved nobody even enforced the mask policy. When students complained (about anything) they were pretty much told to shut up and deal with it. My teachers were all incompetent, I had one teacher that kept giving us the wrong study guides we had to re-take multiple test due to that issue and we were only given one day to study for those tests with a new study guide. Teachers gave me assignments that had nothing to do with the topic at hand; they never even taught us labs, drugs, or proper skills. When asking a question they would say things like you should know this already, how would students know if you haven’t even taught us it? Isn’t that why we are here to learn? DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL FAIL IN TEACHING YOU. To be a nurse you need a good education not an incompetent one! Please don’t make the same mistake I did. I haven’t learned anything from this program and now I am struggling in the work place! Every place Ive worked at and I told them I went to Gurnick they had nothing, but bad things to say about this school. Ask anyone in the medical community and they will tell you this school is a big mistake!

PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. From the day one they will give you the run around and you are just another person giving them money to basically pay their teachers to read you information off the slides and you will be teaching yourself a whole nursing career the amount of money you are paying them you expect them to be at least be a bit professional which they are absolutely not and the management is a joke where you ask one question and everybody there will give you a different answer or say let me find out and never get back to you dont forget youre paying for this out of pocket. I will not be surprised if they get my review deleted but to the people that read this please do not come here please dont.

I would like the gurnick corporate office to contact me as I’m currently attending this school and also seeking legal help after dealing with the same issue since last December. My campus director Karen Hobson has made several promises and has not been able to stand by not 1. I have plenty of witnesses and staff members who are willing to speak on my behalf but this has been ongoing way too long and I’ve given chance after chance for it to be resolved.

Please make sure to research this school prior to enrollment. I had high expectations of thinking that staff would be of help, which I learned has no interest in assisting. I took an LOA, upon attempting to return my admission representative had been terminated, which failed to re enroll me, I’m being charged drop fees when it was the schools issue. No one assumed responsibility and had to wait out an additional semester, with no guidance. Here it is another semester, and I am trying to re-enroll myself due to there negligence and get an excuse. The main priority is getting money not the student’s education.

I was in the first Generic ADN program for RN. Although it was a difficult program due to it being accelerated and a bit unorganized since it was the very first cohort. The staff/instructors have definitely been through trail and error and established a schedule and coursework regimen that works well as the cohorts increase. Didactic instructors and clinical instructors are always willing to go above and beyond. Even after you graduate if you need additional support and help with board exam preparation and finding a job they’re there every step of the way. I was able to have great clinical experiences at some of the Fresno’s best hospitals. Very thankful I chose this school!

I found this school after having my daughter. I knew I had to finish school but it was difficult to find a nursing program that offers night classes until I came across Gurnick. The journey has been tough and nursing school is no joke but I have to give the school the credit it deserves. Our schedule was consistent, if anything had to be changed we were noticed in advance.Instructors were great and the staff was very supportive.Consider Gurnick but dont expect the journey to be easy.My best advice is to keep up on your school payments, study hard and never give up! Good luck!

I did the LVN program at Gurnick and I loved it! This school wants you to succeed so much and will push you to gain the most knowledge possible! They really set the bar high! The instructors are tough and encourage you to always do your best but are there to help you every step of the way if you seek their help! I definitely recommend this school!

I actually got in for Sonography program and since i already took all the pre reqs they told me i dont have to start right away( i start November and the program starts july). Financial aid person told me i just need to make sure everything is all set up 2-3 weeks before my start date. I already went to the orientation. nobody approached me or anything that i needed to finish my financial aid before the school starts. Then i received a call from them telling me they are going to pursue another student since i havent done my financial aid. No warnings they didnt even sent me an email or a text regarding in that matter. I even went to the orientation and no one said anything to me. Its unfair because my situation is kinda different for financial aid so i was having a hard time. I really wanted to be a sonographer. I was trying to reach supervisor i kept calling and calling no one ever answer and i was leaving messages and yet no one is returning my calls. I grew up in the Philippines so i dont know the process in here. They are not very helpful.

I just graduated from Gurnicks LVN program. And i would have to say I have no idea what the comment under mine is talking about. They dont even have an ADN program in the bay area. The only school that has the ADN is fresno (the school I just graduated from) and their first class literally just started a few months ago. Over all, the program I went through did have some bumps in the road, but what nursing program doesnt! MOST of the teachers at this school are AMAZING! They truly care about their students and are so proud to see us all pass! I can guarantee you I will be in contact with my teachers for years to come. They will do anything to help when help is needed as well.I was very satisfied with the program. In the end I got what I wanted an LVN diploma, and am currently awaiting to take the NCLEX. It is expensive. VERY expensive compared to other programs, but you have to remember you are paying for the convenience of an accelerated program. I am happy to say I WILL be continuing with Gurnick for my Associates degree in Vocational Nursing , starting in January, and hopefully go through their ADN after that.

I would not recommend this school or its ADN program. It is extremely disorganized. This school gave me the run around from day 1. Admissions department did not know when it would be approved or when the first day of classes was. I did not think it would get approved by their disorganized manner. They have a preliminary approval which Im sure will be taken away if they continue to run the program the way it is being ran.The school mistakingly gave me credit for all of my prerequisite courses. I as an honest individual let them know that the only courses I should be given credit for are English classes. I have a bachelors from a UC in addition to a post grad degree, was told by admissions that the process of getting credit for prerequisites is too tedious and that classes should be easy for me. Anita Dayal just wanted me to pay more and complete my file and get her job completed. She then threatened me when I went to administration in order to figure out why I was taking English classes and having to read poems when I had graduated with a Bachelors in legal studies and attended law school. The administration did not correct this issue as it should have but told me to leave or reapply.I continued and during this program my GRANDMOTHER passed away. I was not in the best state so had an issue with the very English class I should have been credited for. The professor for this class offered a remedial assignment. I stated that I would like to pass the class and would get back to her shortly because I was not able to focus on school on the day of death of my grandmother. The Director of the program Karen Hobson, who is a heartless, woman who has no understanding or human decency or respect for others and is allowed to run a program by the greedy money hungry institution of Gurnick said despite my grandmothers death said I should have instantly told the professor that I would do a remedial assignment and not need a day or two to focus on my family and mourn. This school is not worth your time and money, if you have any self respect I extremely urge you to stay away and apply to a school that is recognized with respect by the healthcare community. This school most definitely is not.

Their programs are not only disorganized but also cost $30,000 more than any other school which offer a better degree in the end. Do not pay 80K for an ADN when you can get a BSN for around 50K. Save yourselves from enrolling this program it will not make you ready for the NCLEX and it is provisionally accredited by the BSN, accreditation which took over 2 years to establish because they could not fulfill BSN requirements. Go to a well established program like Fresno State. AS A WARNING IF YOU EVER ENCOUNTER A NURSE FROM THIS SCHOOL ANK FOR A DIFFERENT NURSE BECAUSE A NURSE FROM THIS SCHOOL MAY KILL YOU.
