I came from Kentucky & had used UK College of Dentistry. They truly cared for their patients & offered a low cost clinic that benefited the community. They were awesome. They never charged more than they had to. Understand that UFs version is NOT the same. They charge HIGH, they make you come frequently & charge you each time you visit. They even triple charged me one time & it took me a year to get them to take the extra charges off. I have ongoing dental issues that they have been working on for a few years & I have severely sensitive teeth. However, they started trying to force biannual cleanings on me even though it took my teeth months to settle after a cleaning. UK never required that. When Covid hit, I didnt make any new appointments until things settled. When I finally called to schedule, I was told I would have to start all over again, including a visit just to see if they would take me back & then a half-day appointment for an assessment that I already had. I work full time - I cant just take off for absolutely no reason! And Im a single mom so I cant afford expensive dental care. They are heartless & strictly driven by greed. They are using people as test subjects, using up their patients valuable time, yet charge like a high-end dental practice. Be forewarned, you need a good bank account to get complete dental care here.

I personally hate the dentist and am always scared of them, but this place is awesome and Ember and Ethan make me feel comfortable and relaxed. This is a great place to go. They take insurance and are cheaper than a reg dentist if you dont have insurance. Everyone is nice here. Very good for students and professors are right on top of it if anything needs to be done differently.

After her 15 year old patient told her she was uncomfortable being at the dentist due to traumatic experiences, Dr Jenna Hart told her that if she didn’t want to be there she could leave. The patient asked her why Dr Hart was speaking to her in such a passive aggressive tone and she said “it’s because you’re talking to me like that”. Not only were those responses completely inappropriate, Dr Hart became cold and didn’t even speak to the patient after the root canal procedure was over. Please be aware of her horrid attitude.

Dr.Hauer and the members of the college of dentistry including the director made a great impression of kindness caring and absolute professionalism when I was in there care today.If anybody has any doubts about using this facility please be assured this unit of UF is beyond reproach and I highly recommend any or all needs regarding dentistry. Quite exceptional in every facet.Thank you.

Was trying to see if they had a program for teaching students. I need to have 8 teeth extracted and can’t afford $175.00 per tooth.

Poor planning by staff took over a year to get dentures and only did the uppers. I gave up on finishing my plain and will start offer with a regular dentist.

Worst choice ever. They chipped my teeth trying to extract a tooth. They were pulling so hard 3 different people try pulling. They cut the inside of my jaw in 2 places very deeply. And later refused to repair the chip. Told me its a risk I take.

After being on hold for 15 minutes I hang up and call back I get an answer right away the woman answers and sighs, I then proceeded to give her my information just so I can make an appointment. The entire encounter was long and unnecessarily rude.

Dr. Miguel Aguirre did a procedure for my wife today (wisdom teeth extractions) - his professionalism, sense of humor to calm her down, and overall great service was admirable. Props to the UF college of dentistry. All the staff seem prepared and willing to help with any questions. My wife and I are very pleased with the entire process, thanks to the overall great team and especially Dr. Aguirre.

Came in to get a root canal done. One of the best dentist visits I’ve had in a while. Procedure was quick and painless. Didn’t have any swelling or after pain either. Jeffery Westra is one of the endodontic grad student. He was great.

Careful with these kids.. they filled one of my teeth ($90) and then decided it needed to be pulled in order for my parcel to fit well.. wasted money on fillings. Just be careful and really think about what theyre recommending before you agree to anything.

Called n they said there office is close on Thanksgiving of course but didnt say they would be close for the whole week! Miss communication for sure long drive for nothing and my daughter n PAIN😔

I went here for my dentures 8 yrs ago they are still way way way superior to the ones my insurance just had me go get from another place. They may take a bit longer but it’s like prime rib next to a dollar burger!!! Seriously!!

The two students I met are really nice and know their stuff. Yes, you can save money but I would suggest going to professional. You get what you pay for so keep that in mind before pick a place. This place could improve in many ways. No directions to were to park and inside could use some from of directions to guide me to the right place.

Yes, it takes longer to get teeth fixed, but the students are great and the professors are hands on. It is affordable. Definitely the clinic to go for non emergency dental work. They accept Medicaid.

This is with out a doubt, the most professional office I have ever been in.Dr Perez and her assistant Carla were two of the most professional Medical practioners I have ever met.I am usually very anxious when I go to the dentist. Dr. Perez was able to diagnose my issue in the first 3 minutes that I met with her. In addition, she was able to correct the problem same day.This is the only dental office I shall be usuing from now on.

Of all the dental work I have had done, I have received the best dental care here. Staff and students are knowledgeable, caring and professional. I would highly recommend this facility.

I am a client of the school. I cannot say enough of how the treatment was and my new denture is gorgeous. If you dont know i have them you cannot see any difference. In fact they are better looking than the origianls..so glad I went there.The student was very knowledgeable and very kind. She is the best!

I dont understand the negative reviews. Ive been going here for years and I have had the best care and the students and professors were really nice and professional. No, Im not connected to the school, Im a retired lady that just wanted wonderful and good care and I got it.

My experience was very very good, I actually had a tooth removed about 3 months ago that was half broken from the crown. The bad reviews that Ive read makes me not want to go back . Dentist or going to the dentist is already scary enough but after you read the reviews only makes it worse. Those students gets five stars from me trust in GOD and leave your worries to him.

My son has some abscessed wisdom teeth the first one was pulled last week on Friday. He is so happy the pain has subsided that hes going to get the other ones done very soon.

I give negative stars I got lost for 20 mins trying to park and the wouldnt see my neice IV never been to ganinsville until today and I will neve be back they had no care about the situation this place is a joke

Horrible customer service if I could give it zero stars I would. The financial reps need to be trained on insurance. My husband was given three different estimates for his visit. One after his initial visit for his follow up appointment. When he called to inquire about the amount because it seemed incorrect he was told another amount, then he was called again being told another amount. I then called and spoke with a manager after being spoken so rudely to by another worker that come to find out was giving incorrect information once again. All in all canceled appointment and will go somewhere else its a shame when a shands employee cant seek care within.

This is the worst dental service you can find in Gainesville. They are just willing to charge you as they will inflate the bill as much as possible. Swindlers!

I am a University of Florida alumni. I used to go here when I was a teenager living in Gainesville. I live in Orlando. I had a traumatic experience with the way a dentist in Orlando did an implant and the way I was treated by him after I said that the implant was giving me pain. I did not know who to go to or who to trust. I decided that I would go to Gainesville and see if they could help me. The best decision that I ever made. They were so friendly and they helped me immensely. They told me what was wrong in 20 minutes. I go from Orlando to Gainesville at least once a month. Rodrigo helped me so much. Now I have to see another specialist there. Everyone is so friendly and the care I receive is excellent.

The College of Dentistry is a very convenient place to have ALL Dental work done.

Dont go here to save money. I visited the clinic in Seminole about seven years ago. At the time, I had an agonizing fractured tooth that interfered with my eating. Of course, the reason I went to this student clinic was because I didnt have a high budget. The student and his instructor attempted to coerce me into spending $12,000 on other, less urgent procedures before they would agree to fix the painful fractured tooth. It felt like extortion. Instead I went to a top-rated private dentist with many years of experience who charged less for everything and gave me a terrific porcelain crown that solved my problem. Unfortunately I was out the money I had paid to UF for my consultation.

Everythings fine, I just dont know why they wont let me do a normal cleaning.

No one answers your call or responds to voicemail. Eveyone gives you the run around Just for screening alone. Its impossible to make an appoinment.

Im not a fellow-UF Student, I am an unbiased parent who brought my child here. Dont go here...college student in endodontics worked on my sons mouth for 90 min and never made any progress on the root canal. The college student broke a file tip off inside my sons mouth and is unable to remove the file tip. They sent him home with a broken file tip inside his tooth and put a temporary crown on. Theyre asking me to come back to finish the root canal. Absolutely not!

I was a patient there before I moved. Great service but you have to realize just like any medical training facility these are students and residents in training.

WORST STAFF EVER. I was reffered here by the dentist in Ocala. 1.) I had to pay for this even though it was a referral, I did not choose to come here. 2.) the dentist dr. kat or whatever has no idea what the hell he is doing. 3.) I went for a saliva test, and I spit in a cup for 10 mins and he dumped it out (didnt even test it) 4.) I was in there for 3 hours listening to him talk about nothing 5.) he did x-rays when I didnt need any bc I just had x-rays done 6.) overall they are the shittiest place I have ever been too! I will never go back.

I have been trying to get my son into Shands Pediatric dentistry for over a year now. I thought he had cavities in his front teeth and they kept getting worse and worse.. No one I talked to cared about his health. My aunt lives in west Virginia and while he was visiting her up there she decided to call a dentist just to see if someone up there would help him.. and they did. she was on the phone with them for just a few minutes and he had an appointment for 2 days later. and come to find out they werent cavities his roots are dead which means that he has no feeling in those teeth and where they were chipping away if they were to get infected he wouldnt know and I wouldnt know because it wouldnt bother him and it could have potentially killed him.. so THANKS SHANDS FOR NOT CARING. I would rather drive 900 miles to get good care than have someone who doesnt care work on him.

The doctors were nice in the oral surgery dept but their managing staff was terrible. Took them two hours to figure out my paperwork and there werent even enough seats in the office to sit. So I stood for two hours
