My 5 year old son and 11 year old daughter have attended for 6 months roughly, enjoy it thoroughly. Have learned a lot! Professor Ci, Coach Shaun and Coach Daniel are phenomenal! Highly recommended!

I have been looking to find a home gym and this is the place. Very open and humble. Felt like family on day one. No egos here and that is hard to find. I had the pleasure of visiting Si and Shawn’s facility several times during my vacation and sitting in on their classes. I was able to witness how they ran their programs and saw firsthand the excellent experiences they were providing for their members. Si’s adult classes were extremely educational and professional. Si is very thorough with his lessons and you can learn a lot even sitting from the sidelines. You could tell he is passionate in the art of Jiu Jitsu and teaching it to others. Shawn’s kid sessions are filled with creative and interactive activities. As a mentor, Shawn’s high-energy charisma helps establish a learning environment that captivate the kids in their learning. I appreciated the fact that Si and Shawn kept up with cleaning protocols. Their facility is beautiful, sleek, and clean. They spray and mop down the mat between every class. One take away from my observation is the comradery. The instructors and their students all operate almost like a familial unit. They are first brothers/sisters, then second as teammates. I really admire their brotherhood/sisterhood and their sportsmanship. I am considering moving to Gainesville in the near future to be a part of their program and family. What they have created here in this community is incredible. Great work, Alliance JJ Gainesville!

The instructors here are phenomenal, truly care about their students and they foster an environment where everyone is not only striving to better themselves, but to help their teammates get better too, really feels like a family here. Wow, I originally started coming for my son (5years old), I was worried his size and young age wouldn’t be able to understand the concepts and over all just keep up. I was wrong he loves every moment being there, the couches take so much time explaining and patience that in such a short time we can visually see a difference in his confidence and respect level. The other students are genuinely kind and patient as well with him creating a true friendship environment and welcoming!So I couldn’t resist and became apart of the gym myself, I love everything about this gym.After a long search for the right gym for our family this is it!

Alliance Jiu Jitsu Gainesville is hands down the best jiu jitsu academy in northeast Georgia. The academy is super clean and very modern. They have a great kids and adult program too! Alliance Jiu Jitsu is a great place to learn Jiu Jitsu whether your looking for a hobby, or a way to get back in shape without having to have another boring workout at the gym, or looking for a great martial art/sport to get into. I just want to start off by saying this gym is amazing! Not just for me but for my family too, it’s a great healthy activity we can all do together. The owners, Si and Shawn are so welcoming and answered every question I asked. Everything is well organized and well put together. The gym has the family feel that attracted me the most to this gym. I could go on and on about how Alliance is a world class organization. I could talk about how Si and Shawn are amazing instructors, how their different styles complement each other and how they can prepare you for a tournament but also any self-defense situation that could arise, but it comes down to one word: family. I just moved to GA from CA and Si and Shawn welcomed me and my family with open arms. The warm reception, the people that they surround themselves with and the other students I have met makes Alliance feel like you belong to a family and not just a gym or organization where you can learn BJJ. Their focus is on teaching and training done in an environment that is respectful, safe and family friendly. I don’t believe you could find a more complete package in this area if you tried.

I have trained at another gym and found that Si and Alliance Jiu Jitsu are by far superior.The coaches are encouraging and impressively skilled. They are patient and take training more seriously then where I trained previously. I am consistently in awe of the sheer talent at AJJ Gainesville.I train with my 9-year-old son and we love the programs. Coach Sean is so patient with the young ones and the kids program is robust.I am a petite female and it is easy to be thrown around, but I always feel safe and protected.They teach advanced moves but in a way that any level can do them.I cannot recommend this gym more! If you are looking to train jui juitsu and are in the Gainesville area, dont bother with other gyms.Come out and train with us!

Si is a great instructor. Incredibly knowledgeable and great coach. He care about his people and seeing them succeed. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for a top end training center and coaching.

Friendly staff and even though they’re not open yet they will still give a tour and talk about your goals fears and hang ups over bjj. Definitely worth checking out! Oh and the mats are very high quality, probably the best I’ve seen in my seven years of wrestling.

I train at Alliance BJJ Dunwoody for about 10 months now. Monday through Thursday. Professor Si Doan does private lessons with me on the weekends. Man, I feel super fortunate having him teach me Jiu-Jitsu. He’s super detail oriented when he is showing me certain techniques, he suggest to me that if I want to get better then I have to drill the techniques repeatedly until I understand it. We sometime do strength and conditioning together to prepare for competitions. I enjoyed being around him and his positive energy. I’m super stoked he is opening up his own academy in Gainesville and I’m really looking forward to taking his classes!

Get ready BJJ nuts! Alliance BJJ is opening up their new location here in Gainesville, right off 53 before the bridge. I’ve had the honor of being trained under Si and Shawn both. They both have dramatically helped my game in my BJJ career, helping me understand different aspects and the way of seeing things on the mat, and that says a lot because I’m short/stocky and my arms don’t always reach where they should. Shawn and Si both are very well established in their BJJ game, and are even better professors in the art. They are about to bring huge things for Gainesville with this new location opening soon!
