I cant say enough positive things about Laniakea Montessori School! My son attended for two years of preschool. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable in the Montessori approach and were consistently able to challenge him, teaching to wherever his individual level in all areas of academics. The teachers are equally skilled in social emotional development, and I was constantly impressed with how they lovingly fostered age appropriate emotional regulation, social skills, and how we treat others in our community. Underlying everything is a love of and awe for the natural world. Laniakea truly is a special community of teachers, parents, and children. Your child will be seen as an individual, challenged to their full potential, and supported by the environment to thrive and grow. My son has been in a number of preschools, and this one tops them all! Its an incredibly special place.

We are so grateful to have found Laniakea Montessori School. Our son has flourished in the short time he has been there. They follow true Montessori education by following the child. The teachers at Laniakea allowed my son to find his way in the classroom providing the lessons that he was ready for and interested in. He wakes up every morning excited for another day at school!

My children wake up excited to go to school every day. The staff feels like family, in that they have my kids best interests in mind and treat them as individual spirits. Laniakea is a place to learn academically, but also a place to grow emotionally and socially. That makes all the difference.

Excellent school and excellent, caring staff that follows the principals of Montessori teaching very closely. Our child loved going here and learned constantly.

Finding Laniakea was the best thing that happened to our child. The staff are wonderful and dedicated educators: knowledgeable, patient, interested, engaged, caring, loving, funny, smart. Our child learned how to be a part of a community along with the ABCs.

I send both of my sons to Laniakea, ages 5 and 7. The building is warm and inviting, it feels like a home. The staff are amazing and gifted with their ability to connect with children. Far superior to public education systems. Here the children are given the freedom of expression and choice. They learn how to think critically, how to collaborate, and how to peacefully settle differences. They even have live reptiles in the science room!!! Highly recommend you call if youre looking for a true Montessori environment.

Our grandson is a student at Laniakea Montessori School. He started at the school when he was 3 years old. Laniakea provides a well-organized, inviting, and nurturing environment where children can grow, flourish, and excel academically and socially. The teachers are caring and encouraging, and have been very sensitive and accommodating to the needs of a younger child including making special arrangements for nap time and providing a little extra one-on-one attention and encouragement when needed. The curriculum is true to the Montessori principals, providing an excellent balance of academic learning and play time while encouraging social development and friendships. The teachers make wonderful use of hands-on learning experiences, including art, nature studies, picnics, gardening, and special projects in the on-site Science Room. Overall, our grandson loves Laniakea and his teachers, looks forward to going to school every day, and we couldn’t be more pleased.

I currently have my children enrolled at Laniakea Montessori School and I dont believe that I will be going back to a public education system ever again! They have a very kind and inviting atmosphere that makes my children feel comfortable about learning. I couldnt be more happy about our experiences with the staff and my children are always raving about how their days were. Every child learns differently and they recognize that, giving my children different ways to learn the same things - and their methods work amazingly well!
