I cant say enough great things about this Childcare center. My daughter went there before kindergarten and my son is there now in Preschool. I absolutely love all the teachers there and so impressed with how they are with my kids. Ms.Christina is one of the best teachers and I am so thankful for her. I cant say enough about them.

Small Steps Childcare is amazing and the only place I would ever send my child. The owner and all the teachers are kind and patient and they treat all the children like they are their own. The facility is incredible, very inviting for kiddos. And it’s clean. There is so many fun things for the kids to do and every child always seems genuinely happy to be there. You won’t be disappointed!!!

I love Small Steps Childcare! Owner and staff have a genuine passion for every child and works so hard to help each child develop skills not only for school but also skills that can be vital for everyday living. I never worry when I’ve drop my kids off because I know they are in the best hands of people who care about them. My kids come home daily not only excited to come back but share what they have been taught. This place goes above and beyond with keeping everything clean. They also are so creative with many projects to make learning fun!

Considering almost ALL the reviews on here are the staff workers that should tell you something.. this place could really use some deep cleaning and the staff should really take better care of the younger children, when I visited I didn’t see not one teacher wash their hands ALL DAY!! But if sanitation doesn’t bother you the way they treat the children should! And not to mention them ALWAYS talking bad about some parent, child, or even another employee!.... this place would get no stars if that was an option..

Small steps treats your babies like their own. The are passionate about the jobs. I stayed with my son for the first year, so coming to Small Steps gave this first time mama an amazing peace of mind. They were patient with me and sent me pictures and messages anytime I asked. I would recommend them over and over again!

Small Steps childcare is THE place to leave you children. The staff is very loving and truly cares about the children. It is a great learning environment from the infants all the way up. I would not let my grandchildren stay anywhere else. The facility is always clean.

Small Steps Childcare is an awesome place for kids! As a teacher, I am super impressed with the owner, Christina, and how she runs her business. The curriculum framework is spot-on; challenging, but age-appropriate and fun for the kids. My 3 year old frequently does similar activities in her class as her brother who is in Kindergarten. She LOVES going to school everyday and looks forward to seeing her teachers. It makes me feel great leaving her in the care of such awesome people who genuinely care for the children they keep. Fostering a love of learning this early is no easy feat! Highly recommend!

My 4 year old has been at this daycare for 3 years and i have a 3 month old that has started as well. We LOVE it. My kids are shown love, guidance, and compassion. It is a clean, friendly environment. They also have a educational curriculum that is preparing my child for kindergarten. I cannot say enough positive things about small steps. They also have a tornado shelter for the entire center which puts me at ease when we have storms. I would recommend this daycare to anyone!

This childcare facility is clean and the teachers are amazing! Mrs. Christina does a great job communicating and addressing any questions or concerns I might have. My toddler absolutely loves Mrs. Maribeth!! Mrs. Jolie, Mrs. Angela and Mrs. Deborah are top notch and so sweet. I never have to worry about my sweet girl while I am at work. I get a sheet everyday that lets me know what has happened through out the day. You can tell by how the kids act they are loved.

I have known Christina, the owner of Small Steps, since I opened my studio in Gallatin. I specialize in children and families and have an opportunity to refer many clients to her. Christina is professional, courteous, has the highest integrity, does what is right even when its sometimes hard to do, is always looking out for the best interest of the children that she serves, past, present and future, and is someone that I would trust my grandchildren with. You will love her and will appreciate the attention she pays to every detail when it comes to your child or children. She is the best Gallatin has to offer in childcare!!

Small Steps is the best place to leave your children. They learn so much and do many different hands on activities. It is very clean with professional staff. I wouldnt trust sending my child anywhere else.

This is honestly the MOST unprofessional place I’ve ever been to!! The director has absolutely no people skills AT ALL, and isn’t very honest or fair. Some of the staff act like a bunch of children themselves and I’d never trust them with my child. Definitely wouldn’t recommend, not even to my worst enemy. 😬

If I could give this place no stars I would!, very disrespectful staff and very unprofessional... this place is not sanitary at all and they don’t treat the children fair at all! I’ve seen the owner actually put her hands on a child (this child was only 2) and grab him by the collar of his shirt because he wouldn’t pay attention to her. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

I cant say enough WONDERFUL things about Small Steps Childcare and the owner Christine. I appreciate their honesty and their love towards my son. I got a report everyday of how his day was in detail which was great! Christine is an admirable, dedicated and sweet lady, being a first time parent I was able to reach out to her numerous times during the day and she helped me feel comfortable and at ease during my sons transition to daycare. My child has taken off with his speech since starting. He plays with more creativity, and thrives in his class. The communication between staff and parents exceeds expectations. We would not trust our son anywhere besides Small Steps.

I have known the owner (Christina Soper) for some time when she kept children around 2013/2014. She watched my daughter who is now 9. Our son started at this center at about 2.5 years old and we have nothing but amazing things to say!Our son is now 4 and he learned so much from this school... I would highly recommend Small Steps Childcare and Preschool to anyone looking for great, loving, trustworthy people to take care of your littles!Our son misses school right now so much, we had to pull him out due to COVID-19 affecting my job. They have really invested into our son and gotten to know him! We love this center with all of our heart!

Highly recommend ❤️ Christina and the rest of the staff are very sweet! They’re interested in watching all the kids growth just as much as we are. Very hands on and creative. Greyson is a shy kid and he’s truly came out of his shell and has learning who he is as a person with the help of teachers and staff. Blessed to have found such a sweet daycare/preschool for my son! Ahhh-MAZING!!!! My sweet 5 year old boy has been at Small Steps since he was our 14 months old foster boy. Every person we placed him in the care of had to be exceptional not just because of my own standards but also because more eyes were on his care than just us. I really am not good with written words but I’m going to try because Christina and every teacher there has loved on my boy well beyond what I could have hoped for and prayed for! By December of this past year, he was already prepared for Kindergarten! The best part is all his learning was done through play and love! Daily pictures, updates and communication has been a blessing to this momma’s heart! These ladies are not just preschool teachers, they become a part of your family too! The friendships he has created over the last 4 years are priceless! He comes home and tells us all about his day, his friends and “that’s what Ms. Christina said.” Countless times I ask him where he learned _______, the answer is always Ms Christina! I’m sure that these ladies have no idea how deep my appreciation runs for them.

This is by far the best daycare! Not only do the children learn what they need to know before kindergarten, but they also receive the love they deserve! My child loved going to preschool when he went there!

This is such an incredible center. There is no where else I would send my daughter. Theu truly deserve the title of best daycare in Sumner County.

If you are looking for just child care (no academic learning) with inexperienced teachers/sitters with high turnover, no communication, no structure, then this is the place for you. The director/owner seems to have little knowledge about running a daycare.

Great place to take your child! My son loves it! All the teachers are wonderful! Small Steps is a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for your babies!

This place would get zero stars if it were an option. The facility is dirty and the staff obviously favors some children over others. When inside the facility I overheard staff talking badly about children and parents. I would not trust this place to care for my children. It does not seem like they have enough staff to care for the children they keep in the center.
