Back in 2015 I was honorably discharged from the United States Navy, and wanted too go to college. The excellent councilors at University of Phoenix made it very easy to find a major and set up my classes. Three years later I will graduate March of 2020, while maintaining a full time job and family of four. University of Phoenix is great school for adults that want to obtain a higher education for the betterment of themselves and their families. I am proud to be an alumni of University of Phoenix!!

Great University have very few issues if any. Issues stem from backboard implementation. It’s just a change to get used to. Still have the rest of Capstone then Project Management completion.

Extremely focused on one’s success, the professors here genuinely have the passion for the subject that they teach. They care about what they teach in which makes you want to learn more, and it always feels like there is never enough time to cover it all.

I like the school. I learned much more here than when I went to Jr. College. You are forced to read and learn so the information is able to stick. People complaining about debt and dropping out, you knew how much it cost before you applied. Its not like it was a surprise. If you dont want to owe money to a school without getting the degree, dont drop out. Finish what you start, then maybe you can be successful. I know plenty of people that went to this school that have good jobs because of their Masters Degree.

Before you make your decision to attend a for-profit company owned by Wall Street speculators, ask yourself how people try to profit from providing students with a college education. Study the amount of debt that students pile up, the admittance standards, the pay of its faculty. You are likely to find that youd be better served by a non-profit private or public institution instead.

I had a great experience at UOP. Though one thing that did bother me when you do group projects, there are a lot of losers that you have to carry. But they will fail in the work place degree or no degree. This really pissed me off.

I wanted to transfer to another campus, from California to Texas. When i enrolled I asked if I were to transfer, was the program of health and human services management be available, I was told yes. When i moved to Texas and called to set ip an appointment to attend @ he called campus, I was told they did not offer my program, they tried to make me take a different one, I refused. Now my pay is being garnished. But I will fight this. Dont recommend this school to anyone.

Im a Veteran, and I dont recomend this school to any veteran or civillian that is thinking about attending . I was scamed out of my gi I Bill money , Troy McKim the veteran coordinator at the time failed to report my attendance to the VA and I was dropped from the gi bill so I was unable to pay the school causing me to go into collections with the school and the VA , the VA thinks they overpaid me for one month since troy never reported me to be a student . This school is something else, I tried to to explain myself to the school but they wouldnt hear me all they wanted was the money I owed for my last class , my transcripts are being held hostage unless I pay . I should have never wasted my gi bill at this school , this has been the biggest regret if my life, i wish I would have gone to a real college, now my gi bill is wasted , thats what I get for serving and going to war for this ungrateful money hungry school. If anybody has a similar story please contact me Im trying to get a group together to start a class action suit against this institution.

My initial experience was great for the first 6 months. The students began to become comfortable and did not complete his or her workload. Some of UOP courses are not accepted at traditional non-profit community colleges and universities. I was in several learning teams with so-called students, which engaged in plagiarism, extremely uneducated, ignorant, and demanded a free ride on the stronger students intelligence. Learning teams are mandatory at University of Phoenix. If you are not in a team of 3 to 5 students, he or she would received half of their points for completed assignments. The financial/academic advisors called for money or to advised a student of his or her account balance. They rarely provided accurate or useful information. Several potential employers and non-profit educational intuitions do not accept UOP courses. I had to completed additional courses at non-profit university for UOP courses to be accepted. The cost to received a UOP bachelor degree can range from $81,000 or more. Every 6 months to a year the courses will increases. I paid $1740.00 for a basic English course; when I could have taken more advanced English course and pass with an A at a community college for less than $150.00. I was informed from another educational institute I did not need to take basic English because I had already fulfilled all of my English requirements for graduation from any university. I had taken health course twice even though I had pass the same course at a community college. This was costly mistake of $1560, in which I am left with the bill. If you decide to discontinued your education with UOP, the financial aid department will return ALL of your loans and grant to the lender. If a student do not repay UOP for the return financial aid; they will send you to a collection agency and refused to provide students with his or her transcripts. After owing more than $50,000 and left without a degree from University of Phoenix. I am retaking courses over again at a non-profit community college and university, which will accepted be anywhere. I am paying significantly less for every course. I am advising everyone who may read my comment....DO NOT RUINED YOUR CREDIT, WASTE YOUR TIME, AND MONEY by attending any FOR-PROFIT UNIVERSITY. When a potential student is seeking higher education...look for the key words FOR-PROFIT. For-profit institutions are strictly for profits and assuring their shareholders or investors huge pay-off for their investment.

UOP IS A SCAM!!!! The education is a joke. Are the professors certified? The students are also a reflection of poor education; everyone nearly fainted when I used the word cohesive. I decided to attend UOP for a year, while I also achieved my AA at a community college. Then continue my MBA at an ACCREDITED university... Bad idea! They put me classes that were not congruent with my major. When I disputed the time and money they stole from me, no adviser was still working there. UOP never billed me; instead they sent my account to collections and withheld my transcripts. If they sent a physical bill I could take them to court! They only call over and over again with the response of We can clear it up with your credit card number. SCAM! SCAM!! SCAM!!!

I am coming to the end of my program, it started out okay, however as I get towards the end it is a bad experience they make you take classes that is unnecessary, you coming more out of your pocket, so I am not satisfy, and dont recommend this school at all, moreover, you have to pay for your diploma, how sad...AND SOME THEN YOU EARN AND ACTUALLY PAY FOR....
