Our daughter just loves this place. She is always ready to come back. Currently two days a week but she would wanna be here everyday. So for sure something is really good here. Instructors are nice and help understand the activities. Finally we got the latest $99 for 9 weeks offer. Great one to start with and already planning to continue with their usual curriculum. Surely recommend.

This is a great Martial Arts school. The instructor (Dan) and his staff are awesome. Master Dan himself his very respectful, knowledgeable and professional. The classes are well run and all the kids I see come in have smiles on their faces.I needed an activity to enroll my nephew in since he was always at home just playing video games and was very shy. At first he was nervous and didn’t want to go but after a couple weeks of classes we saw a real improvement in his attitude and confidence. Dan also invests personally in the children’s education and anything else their parents request. They have periodic belt tests and that’s the chance the parents get to ask Dan to address any issues they need help with at home or in school. Dan always makes an effort for help in any way he can.I would highly recommend this establishment for any parent looking for an great social outlet for their kid to get involved in and learn about self defense all while making new friends and learning how interact socially.

Let begin by first saying that Mr. Park and his staff are very qualified. 8th Degree Black Belt is a level very few ever achieve and 5th Black Belt is very impressive as well. My problem was when I contacted the school about taking Hopkido. I was told that I would have to take Tae Kwon Do first. That if I wanted to learn Hopkido that I would have to take private lessons. I was under the impression that Hopkido was a standalone Martial Art. Disappointed.

This is an amazing program. We have been so impressed with Master Lees compassion toward the kids and his commitment to teaching excellence. His assistant instructors demonstrate this as well. Master Lee runs a well-disciplined program with plenty of room for enjoyment and fun. He sets high (though not unrealistic) expectations for the kids and they rise to the occasion. The kids have tremendous respect for him and the other instructors and it shows. In a society where so many kids show disrespect to adults and authority, it is refreshing to see the respect and admiration these kids show for their instructor and assistant instructors.

My son started Taekwondo at Mu Do Martial Arts in Garland about 9 months ago. I could not be more impressed. Master Daniel is a wonderful instructor and is excellent with the children. It is obvious that he cares about the students and wants them to learn the correct way. Truly, everyone on the staff has been excellent, from the office manager to all the instructors. The facility is clean. Students learn discipline, self-control, patience, and how to work to achieve a goal.My son has made tremendous progress while hes been there. It is the first physical activity he has tried that he absolutely loves. For once, he doesnt complain about practicing because he enjoys it so much. Also, the owners and staff go above and beyond to help make the facility a community with parties and special events.I give Mu Do my highest recommendation. No complaints whatsoever - only praise!

Ive studied martial arts off-and-on for several years and Mu Do Martial Arts is by far the best school Ive ever attended. They foster a family atmosphere built on respect not only for others but also for ones self. The instruction is top-notch and done in such a way that everyone is continually challenged and engaged with a variety of styles and techniques. Im so glad to have finally found a martial arts home!

My sons have taken classes from Mu Do for nine months now, and we love it. My younger son even had his seventh birthday party here, and it was amazing! The kids played dodge ball and other games, learned about kicks and punches, and even broke boards. Master Daniel did such a good job keeping the kids well-behaved and happy. There was plenty of room for lots of party attendees and space for food and presents in the foyer. As parents we were able to just look on and laugh as while our kids thoroughly enjoyed the party. And all the kids, younger and older, were all smiles all the time. Even after it was over, the party was the talk of the first grade for weeks. I am hoping to do my older sons birthday party here as well. :-)

My 7-yr-old son started classes three weeks ago. He has had eye surgery in the past; so we were concerned about injury. We were reassured that injuries are uncommon due to the training and testing all students undergo. So far we are very impressed with the management, the students and, especially, the incredible instructors. We look forward to a long and happy relationship with Mu Do Martial Arts.

Great martial arts school. Instructor Daniel is always striving to learn new thing to teach us and improve the school. Ive been doing martial arts for 10 years now and when I moved 30 minutes away I tried to find a school closer to me and finally gave up and went back to Mu do. Defiantly worth the drive!

We love Mu DO Martial Arts! My wife and I started my son at Mu Do when he was 6 years old by taking advantage of a 9 classes for $99 special they offer. After it became clear that he loved spending as much time there as he could we enrolled him for a year, and he has been there for about 8 months now. We have seen an improvement in many areas of his life. He is more confident and shows adults more respect among many other things that I feel are a direct result of his studies there. Mrs. Paula, who manages the place, is always on top of things, and makes all of our interactions with them run smoothly. Instructor Daniel is a great teacher who has a passion for what he does, and you can clearly see the level of dedication he puts into each and every students progress, taking time to give pointers and encouragement to every student pretty much every class. In the class we attend there are also two assistant instructors present at every class, and Instructors Joseph and Tori are also great. They really help share the load, giving each student more one-on-one time than I have ever seen anywhere else. I would happily recommend Mu DO Martial Arts to anyone young or old looking for a place to learn Tae Kwon Do or any of the other Martial Arts they teach there. I know my son will be there for many years to come. He is a better person as a result of his time there.

My 6yo son started Taekwondo January of last year and loves it! Instructor Daniel and the other instructors have done an excellent job teaching him discipline, respect, and responsibility. Hes learned how to stretch and why, how to fall properly, how to count in Korean, and of course when to use martial arts. In the first year, Ive seen such an improvement in my sons attitude and increased confidence. What I appreciate the most is how all the students respect Instructor Daniel and he never has to raise his voice to get the kids to listen - even the little ones like my own. Hes taught the other instructors to lead by example and I think that is an important lesson. I like the structure of the classes and the sense of control that is maintained throughout. Most of all, Instructor Daniel has a great sense of when to change things up to keep the kids interested and alert. When the time is right, I plan to enroll my other kids. Thanks for making a difference in my sons life!

We have a child who takes Taekwondo lessons at MuDo Martial arts. The instructors are very patient and work well with the children. Master Daniel does a good job being prepared for each class and ensuring that his instructors are paying attention to detail and that the students are performing the moves properly.I like how they involved the parents and the students school teachers in the process. When it comes time to earn a new belt, there is a survey sent home for the parents to fill out as well input from their teachers at school. If there are any areas in which the student is not doing well and needs improvement, the student does not earn their belt until this is corrected. They are teaching and helping to mold the whole child, not just the martial arts, and this is great.

MU DO Martial Arts is the place to be to learn, not only about martial arts, but also about culture, discipline, and respect. Our two older children began under the tutelage of Master Daniel Lee in 2012. One year later, I enrolled in class and a few months after that, our then two-year-old has enrolled as well. MU DO is not just a place to learn self-defense; it is our second home. Our family extends far beyond the walls of our house; it extends within and without the walls of our dojang. Master Daniel and his instructors are well-versed in the art of Tae Kwon Do and other martial arts as well. Mrs. Paula Lee is a great office manager and an all-around great person. If you want to learn self-defense in an environment that is conducive to the growth of the body and the mind alike, then MU DO Martial Arts is the place to be!

We moved from Washington state with high expectations as we searched the northeast side of the metroplex (Garland, Richardson, Plano, Murphy, Wylie and Sachse) for a Tae Kwon Do school that would teach solid techniques and skills to both children and adults. We were pleased to find that Mu Do Martial Arts provides family classes that do just that. My two children (son age 9 and daughter age 12) and my husband attend the family sessions together in the evenings. Not only do they find that they get quality instruction but they also enjoy the time in class to bond together after a day of being apart at work and school. Instructor Daniel and his team have a passion for martial arts as well as seeing students succeed not just in the practice but in all areas of their lives. The tuition rates are very affordable, especially for the quality of instruction you receive. Highly recommend!!!

All of the instructors at Mu Do Martial Arts do a great job teaching Tae Kwon Do to kids of all ages (adults too!!) . Our boys look forward to going each time, and they are excited to be learning so many techniques. The childrens classes offer a great balance of instruction in Tae Kwon Do, self-defense, and fun. The instructors also help instill self-control, self-confidence, and respect for elders/authority figures in a consistently positive way. The cost of tuition is well worth it.

Training here has been a life changing experience for me! Taekwondo and Hapkido has got me into shape faster than any gym could do. I dont like the gym scene much. Nor did I exercise much before starting. In fact, Ive been out of shape the last 6 years with work and having kids and since beginning in December 2014 Ive lost 30 lbs. and my once weak ankles feel brand new! I shopped around a few schools before finding Mudo and Im glad I stepped into a place with such an inviting atmosphere and instructors who not only care about doing techniques correctly but doing them in a safe manner as to no one gets hurt. I appreciate Mrs. Paula in the office for working with me on signing up and whats great about Mudo is all instructors here have a plethora of knowledge in the arts and combat I feel no question I ever had has ever gone unanswered. Master Daniel Lee is a tremendously great instructor and person and Im very thankful to have a school like Mudo to train at. Mudo isnt just about combat and fighting... its about self defense and respect. I wish I could sign all my friends and family up! -N.G.V

I recently enrolled two of my grandchildren Angie and J.B. at Mu DO Martial Arts and I have to say that the school has exceeded my expectations. Angie and J.B. enjoy going to class and Ive see them more active and alert. I see them motivated to go to class and learn new things. Master Daniel has made a big impact on them and when he speaks, they listen. Master Daniel has made my wife and I very happy with his dedication to his craft as well as to the children, not only ours, but everyone that he teaches. I like the structured environment and the way Master Daniel and his instructors pay close attention to the students and there progress. As a former student in Tang Soo Do, I understood that martial arts would be very helpful in teaching our grandchildren discipline. Since joining Mu DO Martial Arts our grandchildren show respect more than ever to everyone around them. They are doing well in school and are receiving excellent comments from there teachers as well. They are very helpful when they are around my wife and I and are always loving and respectful. I highly recommend your school and will soon be enrolling my other granddaughter Alyana in a couple of months. Thanks for everything! and we look forward to seeing you at the next class!

My daughter is 9 and started at MuDo Martial Arts in October 2012. She was having trouble with attitude and listening but was not interested in joining a sports team. After doing some research, Taekwondo was the way we went. There are many locations that offer Taekwondo so we looked at locations that had a free trial class. MuDo Martial Arts offers their first class free and has a $99 dollar 9 week special. We thought this was a good length of time to see if she really liked the classes without having to sign a lengthy contract and if they were going to be benificial for her. Paula the office manager was so nice when we walked into the studio. She welcomed us and asked us right away how she could help us and wanted to know if my daughter would like to go onto the mat to join the class. Master Daniel Lee is the Instructor and he is very good with the kids. He is very patient and knows what he is teaching. He takes time durring and after class if needed to reexplain to the kids if they are having trouble getting their footwork down. He also comes off the mat at the end of class to talk to the parents and make sure that everyone understands and will take the time to answer any questions. Master Daniel keeps a good grip on his studio and firmly but nicely reminds them of the right behavior so that they respect him not fear him. My daughter has improved on her listening skills and her attitude has come more on the positive side. She is 9 so she still has her moments. We did sign up for the next year as this place seems to be very positive and has a family friendly atmosphere. Please stop by and give this place a look and take your first class for fee.
