Sifu James is an excellent teacher! he’s patient but he’ll guide you through multiple forms and offer you tips on how to easily practice them. He has lots of insight on the cultural aspect of martial arts too. I’m currently learning tai chi and Kung fu together and I am grateful to have found such a skilled and generous teacher.

Jade Tiger Kung Fu & Tai Chi is a top-notch martial arts school. In my two years at the school thus far, I have watched Sifu James McIntire consistently guide his students in traditional Chinese martial arts with patience, kindness, and an incredibly thorough knowledge of his curriculum. In addition to group warm-ups and drills, his students receive individualized attention and move through the curriculum at their own pace. Not only do students receive instruction in forms and application, they also have the opportunity to learn the history of their practices. While looking for martial arts schools two years ago, my son and I researched many of the options in our area and decided that this school would be a good fit for us. To aid us in our decision, Sifu James invited us to observe and participate in a class at no charge. That was two years ago and I have no doubt that we made the right choice in picking Jade Tiger. The class community feels like a family, the prices are beyond reasonable, and the practices come from an impressive lineage of martial artists. I’m very grateful that we found Jade Tiger and encourage others to experience it for themselves.
