It was fantastic! Everyone was so welcoming and nice. Good conversation is hard to come by these days. I will definitely go back!
Arts on Main is a new gallery/gift shop/artist studios for the growing Arts District of historic downtown Gastonia, NC. The building designed in the 1920s by famed architect Hugh White as the Citizens National Bank has been transformed into a gallery/gift shop/artist studios by volunteers of the Gaston County Art Guild. The business has 18 studios with room for expansion if the future and is managed by the studio residents. Arts on Main has contributed to the downtown growth of visitors by drawing in artists and supporters who then visit local restaurants, other art galleries, small businesses and enjoy the charm, character and charisma of small town America.
Im impressed to see something like this in town. The facility is formerly an old bank. Very cool to see the old vaults as galleries. Nice staff and interesting exhibits. Also offers studio space for rental.
Found the people who run the place very rude. Especially a woman with white hair. I did not feel welcome and would not recommend going here.
The hours have changed to Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11-4pm.
