I’m now a freshman at southwestern university majoring in musical theater and business, I would not be on this path if it were not for arts avenue. I joined their theater program in 2017 and instantly found a family that cared not only about excellence in performance, but also the prosperity of its students. Arts avenue has cultivated a love for theater and music that I never knew I had and inspired me to pursue that love as a career. The theater teachers at arts avenue have improved my acting and singing abilities by leaps and bounds, giving me the confidence I needed to believe that I could follow my dreams and have success doing it. The friends I’ve made from their program are the closest I’ve ever had and have helped me grow as a Christian and responsible adult. If anyone is looking for a place to pursue musical theater, then I highly recommend arts avenue; it is a professional family that cares for the arts as well as everyone involved!

My daughter started musical theatre with Arts Avenue 4 years ago while she was in middle school and every year has been absolutely fantastic! We look forward to the upcoming theatre season this fall and wouldnt go anywhere else. The hard work of teaching and training the students that the entire staff does during the season is plainly evident during show times. We are so happy to be a part of Arts Avenue!

This studio appears to have a decent theater program. I cant say much for that because my kids did not participate in the theater program. But the dance program has some major problems. The biggest problem is the owner seems to know or care nothing about dance and is hardly around or involved. I heard her experience and time was directed to the theater program. Myself and other parents were always wondering who she even was and who was in charge around there! The turnover in dance teachers in the last couple of years made it very obvious that there had to have been some management issues. The studio was usually dirty and gross. It was just kind of the the luck of the draw if you have a good experience based off of which teacher your kid got. I heard stories from some very unhappy parents that would make your blood boil. But most of the teachers are teenage students that are their best dancers. Upon our recent leaving the studio, they had just a handful of dance teachers. Only two of those teachers were adults, one of them being a college student. Neither of them being moms understanding the challenges dance parents face. And most are certainly not qualified teachers or even adults! Everything is unorganized, confusing, the communication is terrible. We had to pay a hefty recital fee, then buy tickets to recital, then owner threatened parents when she didnt get enough parents willing to work backstage (for free) and babysit the kids during the recital instead of being able to sit in the audience and watch their kid perform finally. There were so many instances while we were there that made it obvious this studio does not care about their clients. And for a studio that wants to attract business based off of their Christian values, it was surprising they did not treat their clients in what I would personally feel comfortable putting a Christian label to. I am convinced the positive reviews this studio got were the owner asking her closest friends to paint a pretty picture for her. Or they are older reviews. Our first year there was pretty good when they had a great dance director. After she was gone, things got progressively worse.

Our children have been performing with Arts Avenue for Kids in Georgetown for over six years. Every year they grow in skill, confidence, & love for their craft. Vicki the owner/director & the instructors at Arts Avenue are so encouraging. As the students grow in skill, these instructors support the children to take on more and more responsibility for their own performance. (The negative review on this site about the 15 yo instructor is surely someone who has never sat in or witnessed a class – Shes GREAT!)The theater program is second to none. Our director does something extraordinary in theater – she gives the actors/actresses a chance to do very high level theater productions while protecting their innocence by choosing only wholesome shows which honor & glorify God. I have been surprised by the amazing, unexpected benefits to my own childrens academics from being involved with Arts Avenue. They read with emotion, confidently speak in front of others, their memorization skills are top notch, & they simply know how to prepare and budget their time; I attribute all of this to their involvement with Arts Avenue, and Ms. Vicki in particular.Dont hesitate to consider Arts Avenue for Kids for your Theater & Dancing desires! Every year this studio grows its options and class offerings to meet the needs of their students.

Our family has been involved with Arts Avenue since 2009. All four of our kids have participated in their productions or camps. AAFKs theater and dance program are outstanding and not only teach fundamental skills but also character and kindness. The musical theater productions our exceptional and the dance company has won awards and qualified for nationals. The teachers clearly love the kids and establish warm and caring relationships. The parent volunteers are a joy to work with. For a family looking for reasonably-priced, high-quality instruction in a warm, encouraging and loving environment this is the place to be.

This is my daughters second dance studio and by far my favorite. Unless we move far away from Georgetown, I do not see us moving studios anytime soon. Ms. Amanda and Ms. Lyndi are amazing teachers. They make my daughter feel so special and welcomed. My favorite part of the dance class is the prayer requests and prayers that are prayed before any dancing is done. It brings the childrens perspectives back to why they dance in the first place and whom they are really dancing for. You will not be disappointed if you send your son or daughter here to dance.

Dance is NOT a priority. Dance teacher is a 15 year old with NO oversight. There are no advanced classes, not even one pointe student. Way too expensive for 1 hour of babysitting, my daughter didnt even learn basic dance positions or terms. If you are looking for a dance studio, this is not the place.

My two girls have been dancing with Arts Avenue for 4 years. We love the personal attention and the Christian focus. I have to disagree with the negative post. My girls have had quality instructors thst have taught proper dance terms and positions. Last year we were unable to make the first scheduled class and I actually suggested my girls being taught my the 15 year old! She was amazing with the girls not only in dance terminology, but wirh control of the class and the choreography for the Christmas stroll and end of year recital! We are looking forward to classes this year with a professional dance instructor who just moved to the area!!! The company went to dance competiion and earned 1st place ratings and overall placed 3rd! I have personally recommended arts ave to everyone I know for dance and the are classes!!!
