Check them out! Our boys have really enjoyed the martial arts program and are learning so many important skills at a young age. The facility is very clean and professional. It’s family owned by the nicest people, so don’t miss out on getting trained by the best.

We LOVE Valor Martial Arts! Although my granddaughter takes regular classes at the Liberty Hill location, she participates in special activities at the Georgetown location as well. Master and Mrs Master Bertling are so good with the kids! They teach both martial arts and valuable life skills. The locations are always clean, the classes well organized. They offer many activities that help the kids bond. The students help each other. I HIGHLY recommend taking classes here!

Excellent place to take your kids! Mr. Bertling is awesome and is very patient with the young students. I would highly recommend this martial arts school to anyone. My daughter is 3 and she absolutely loves going. She is always asking when her next class is. If you’re thinking about signing your child up or yourself I would say DO IT!

Valor has been amazing for our kids. Each one Begs to go Every day to train. Master Bertling has a crazy amount of patience with my kids... even the very A.D.D. 4 year old. I have noticed a huge difference with my 10 year old being more respectful and listening and all 3 are helping around the house more!

Not sure where to start, maybe its all my daughters friends parents comment on how well behaved and good manners she has, or making top volleyball team with no experience, competing with girls with years of experience. Her respect for authority, body control, mental timing, all learned from martial arts. No! Its that I know with complete confidence that If my daughter is cornered in a bathroom, or pull in an ally way, shes got a better chance of coming out alive. The instructor at Victory are the top of the profession, World champions in their skills, and the best roll models. Raising a daughter in todays world, knowing hes as the skills to handle any, I mean any situation, because of her training in marital arts, well thats priceless.

After a very expensive month of trying out this place I paid for equipment that my son never received. I called last month and was told I would receive a refund but when I called today I was informed that the amount would not be refunded but could go towards another class. I guess they can keep the money but just be careful before giving them cash money!

My daughter was under the Bertlings mentoring for 3 years.I can not say enough good things about the program or them to do justice. My daughter matured and was respectful and the time there taught her hard work and discipline pay off.The program has helped her in her sports and I believe has given her an advantage in her efforts.

My daughter has been going here for four years now, since age two. The Bertlings and their staff offer a wonderful combination of life skills, physical, self defense and martial arts education for kids. Especially for kids, as they are very skilled working with them. A highly recommended martial arts school if youre looking for the best for your kids!

This is to the person asking why they would legally bind a 3 year old They didnt, you are the parent/guardian and you are the one that is legally binded to the contract. And about your kids crying.. Martial arts is basically a way to make your body a weapon used for self defense. It requires intensity and dedication. Its definitely not for everyone. 3 years old or not.

In just one year, this program has made a huge difference in our sons life. There has been noticeable difference in his behavior at home and at school. Besides learning a great sport, our son is learning the value of being respectful to others as well as the value of hard work and overcoming failures. He is more disciplined and is gaining self confidence everyday. The owners of VMA Georgetown are wonderful people and its so easy to see their dedication to the students in every class. In order for you or your child to be successful in this program, you must be committed. This was something we didnt fully realize when we first registered our son, but after a few months, we understood the positive impact this program can have and there was no question the commitment is totally worth it.

I really appreciate Victory Martial Arts and Mr. & Mrs. Bertling. They set great examples, provide solid instruction on Taekwondo and model self-discipline. The focus on self-esteem, doing what is right, as well as the self-defense they teach has been invaluable to our child.

My daughter started at Victory after a pizza party promo. She was very excited after the promo but chose to be wise & try it for one month! At the end of that month when she was not happy when asked to give her belt back. Seeing the progress she was making & her goal of being a camo belt we signed a 6 month agreement. During that time she was asked to join the leadership team! She was beyond excited! After earning her camo belt she decided she wanted to work for her BLACK BELT! She is now a green belt & working very hard to reach all the goals she has set for herself...one of which is demo team! I cannot speak praises enough for how this program has helped her grow physically & mentally in all the disciplines. Along with a strong faith in God she is growing into a leader & beautiful young lady!!!

Horrible!. I took my three small children to this place as an introduction to what could become something positive for them. it was $112 a month they hated going and would cry every time it was time to go. so we stopped going. after talking to the staff who informed me that everything was ok and they knew we werent coming back , I get a phone call from the collection agency with a $1670 bill for the remainder of the tuition!... we only went to 2 months worth of classes!!... *** not worth the time or money!! Why would a place LEGALLY bind a 3yr old????

Our son has been attending Victory of Georgetown for 2 years. He has amazingly wonderful instructors!!! The Bertlings truly care about how a child is taught and raised. They know and understand that the beliefs and all the training they implement in their life will allow them to gain an overall appreciation and respect for themself, their family and friends, and for life.We are truly blessed to have found such a wonderful place for our son to attend and have the Bettlings in our life. Thank you!!!!!

This is a wonderful program for the entire family and The Bertlings are extremely caring, honest people. Our children receive wonderful training and encouragement at Victory Martial Arts.We were in awe when we had only been in the program for a few weeks when they offered to perform a fundraiser to help my family through my infant daughters brain tumor removal. They helped pull the community together around us and helped support my children through the most difficult of times. Victory has become like an extended family to my children and we wholeheartedly trust The Bertlings. To address some of the previous negative reviews, it is an extra-curricular activity and it is a business. It would be unreasonable to believe that it doesnt cost something. With three children enrolled, we have found that its no more expensive than gymnastics, soccer, or other extra-curricular activities cost. However, the value of the results is well worth it. We have seen increased self esteem, respect, and physical fitness in all three of our children. The Bertlings consistently support my parenting and are positive adult role models for our children. They address leadership values and help to instill in the children how to be a positive and upstanding member of society.Furthermore, the co-ed and mixed age classes are very helpful in giving the children a reinforcement of those values and exposure to various ages in a controlled and respectful environment. It is a very healthy atmosphere, where the instructors always regulate the size and pace of pairs to ensure safety, while promoting healthy self-esteem. They will remind the children of different age ranges to be cautious with the younger children, if for some reason there is a slight size difference in the pairing.Lastly, I will say that the seating area is filled with parents and family members, which indicates to me a very family oriented business. I love to see the wholesome environment and the fact that families participate together.

We started Victory Martial Arts in October of 2011 as part of an after school program for my six year old son. In December of 2011, we signed a contract and my son began studying martial arts at Victory Martial Arts in Georgetown.Yes, there is a contract to sign. It is pretty simple to read. There was no deception in the manner it was presented. Even with that being said, it is written in simple and clear language. Any adult should be able to read it and understand it for what it is. Its one page long if I recall correctly. You can choose the terms regarding the length of your commitment.Sure, you can find schools that do not require contracts. Youll also find students and parents at these schools that are not committed to the outcome. Its good for the school AND students to have committed adults and students. The classes are co-ed. The students practice together according to their skill levels. So if you are a beginning adult, you may find yourself in a class with other beginning adults and children. As you advance in skill (rank) you will be placed in an appropriate class. Every class begins with an affirmation by the students that they will be respectful and courteous to each other when practicing. As far as the co-ed issue goes with one of the reviewers, I have no issues with it whatsoever. The students are respectful to each other based on their skill level, not gender. The adults are not beating down the younger students as implied in one of the reviews. It IS a martial arts class. There is light contact sparring with safety gear on from head to toe. There are self defense techniques taught, but the program goes way beyond that. Its not a ballroom dancing class. Its a contact sport. In a nutshell, if you want your child to be confident, assertive, physically fit, polite, respectful, rule oriented, goal oriented, honest, equipped with life skills that will make them a successful and productive citizen, AND learn some self defense at the same time, this is the place for you.If youre not willing to commit to a longterm goal or teach your child how to achieve one, this is not the place for you. If youre the type of parent that enables your child to the point of mediocrity, find a soccer league somewhere where everybody gets a trophy. This is not the place for you.As far as the people running the program go, they are some of the most honest, straight shooting people you will ever meet. I feel very fortunate to be associated with them.

We really love Victory Martial Arts School in Georgetown, Texas and the impact it has had on our 4 year old daughter is truly wonderful. Mr. and Mrs. Bertling are wonderful teachers! Our daughter has been taking classes for only a couple of months but she loves Karate and attends classes twice a week. She practices at home and is having a lot of fun. Mrs. Bertling is her teacher and she has been very impressionable on our daughter and has been an awesome and positive role model! We initially met Ms. Pannenbacker at City Lights in the early summer and received a pass to try four free classes. She was very kind and informative and she gave our daughter an assessment at the school. You will definitely be pleased with your experience at Victory Martial Arts!We have seen positive changes in our daughter and her confidence continues to grow. The disciplines and practices she is learning are helping her become more independent and she will be a good leader. She recently tested for orange belt and was so excited to attend the belt ceremony and school picnic. It has been a rewarding experience and we are grateful for this opportunity!
