The income tax school has really been a blessing for me in the time where I needed it most. I knew I wanted to study tax law but I didnt even know where to start. I called and spoke to Maureen Scott and she was very patient with me and explaining the courses that I would need to take and also within consideration of any future professional licenses or certifications that I would be interesting in acquiring. She pretty much guided me through the whole process and helped give me a vision of what I needed to do in order to reach my tax education goals.I started with the comprehensive course which starts you from scratch about everything that has to do with personal income tax. I was guided, supported, and heavily assisted by Professor Barry brindle who not only answered every question I had but was nice enough to post deeper explanations, Publications and additional links that could help me further understand the reading material I had in question.I only have experience taking the comprehensive course but the online course is very user-friendly and it contains all the reading material you could need and it challenges you with questions, tests and real life scenarios for each chapter.I look forward to continue my studies through the income tax school and I highly recommend it to anybody especially to those who feel lost and need some sort of guidance and assistance to find a career path in tax.I cant wait until the day I become an enrolled agent and I will be very grateful to the school for helping me achieve that goal.

Having just completed the four-part(module) Comprehensive Income Tax Course, I can say that I enjoyed my experience with ITS. I found the course material to be well-organized, easily accessible, and thorough.Each chapter within a module contains, readings, practice questions, and a practical example in which you prepare, a tax return. Going through each return by hand with pencil, paper, and at times, an eraser encourages careful examination of all facts and precise preparation. Most preparers will go on to use tax software, however, I feel that the manual preparation gives a strong knowledge base.The interface, while not the most aesthetically pleasing, was easy to understand and navigate. Perhaps my biggest praise of the course, however, was the responsiveness of the course instructor, and the administrative staff. Barry was always quick with his responses, and answered all questions I had. Similarly, Alexandra had responded quickly with a question I had about the interface, and completion of one of the modules.In summary, ITS is a great educational tool, with helpful folks running the show. I will keep them in mind for any colleagues needing recommendations for coursework.

This course is fantastic. It is a great way to get comfortable with everything related to a 1040 even with no prior experience or education on the subject. The course is broken into 4 modules and each have several chapters that go line by line through a 1040. The quizzes and scenarios where you are completing a 1040 on your own is extremely helpful, especially for someone like me who did not get an education in accounting. I would HIGHLY recommend this course to anyone wanting/ needing to learn how to prepare 1040s. Very beneficial.

I would like to highly recommend the Income Tax School. I have taken other tax courses over the past decades. Individual and Corporate (way back!) at the collegiate level, and federal tax about 10 years ago at one of the tax franchises. This course, by far, is THE most comprehensive and thorough course available.Be ready to work diligently and independently on a (almost) daily basis. Help is available, my instructor Barry, has been kind, thorough, and speedy on his responses to my questions---even with some frustrating attitude from me :) Be ready to phrase your questions and demonstrate your efforts as the instructors will guide you to the answers rather than spoon feed you.A great course!

It is great getting to learn at my own pace. The instructors are very quick to respond to emails whenever I need clarification on the material. For someone who did not go to school for anything tax related, I commend the institution on doing a great job with the curriculum and course materials. It is easy to understand. If you are having second thoughts about whether or not you should attend, The Income Tax School is definitely a great school!

Training through The Income Tax School has been great. As a life long self taught/self study kinda guy (just turned 65) I have enjoyed their mode of presentation, support tools and responses from their support staff. The training curriculum has been spot on, very specific to the required knowledge - not just to pass tests, but the knowledge required allowing confidence for day-to-day tax work. I will definitely be taking more classes.

I had a lot of trouble picking a program to help me learn tax preparation. It wasnt working for me to read through educational PDF documents and actually feel confident doing real-life returns. Im glad I chose the Income Tax School. Their approach, in addition to their instructional materials, also has you working with the paper tax forms and finding answers in IRS publications. It may seem old-fashioned, but it gives you the ability to do returns like no other method Ive found. I work in a tax office year-round and Ive already experienced increased effectiveness from their training! I often refer back to my ITS training materials when I have a question about a return.

What I liked most about this course was that it forced me to learn through repetition, research, and plenty of thinking. Im very pleased that the company is from my hometown, and I highly recommend The Income Tax School. The instructors were prompt in answering my questions, and the Modules/course materials were thorough and easy to navigate. Very happy with the income tax school and the course I’m currently in. The course curriculum is very good and you do learn a lot. One thing is you have to study specially if new with tax topics because some of the exams specially quizzes are hard but if you read and practice with the material students should be fine. I’m very happy and looking forward to taking on another advanced course once I’m done with this one.

I recently completed the Income Tax Schools Comprehensive IRS and California Tax course. The course is, indeed, comprehensive. While it was extremely challenging I was able to complete the course online with minimal assistance. The instructors I worked with were extremely helpful in addressing my questions and issues. I am taking the Comprehensive Tax Course, and I LOVE it! It is NOT an easy course; dont think that since it is an online course it is easy and not really educational. It is challenging and I am learning so much! It will help me in my job this tax season. I havent been to this place yet, but I am taking the course online. It is really tough, but if you read the material carefully, you will pass to all the tests for sure. Overall, I learned a lot from this school. I am 85 percent done by now, luckily, I passed all the tests every module.

I am a past student from the income tax school. I completed the chartered tax professional course. They also helped in learning the new changes in tax law regarding the TCJA! This course is a wonderful course of study leading into the EA test and prep. I use the knowledge i learned there everyday. I have also taken the AFSP certification test and my required continuing education there every year since. The teachers there are very knowledgeable and friendly(My teacher was Barry Brindle, fast response time and patient). If you ever thought about doing taxes then this school is where you start! The pricing is affordable and is a good investment into a life long a fulfilling career. The lessons are easy to understand.
