An excellent school unless you child has special needs; in that case the review is quite different. I have seen teachers disparage and discount children who dont test out to the upper third of the Bell Curve. Everyone is so nice, but if you struggle, you just need to bear down and get it done!Once while judging a science fair, a group of children showed me an unusually creative project for a box that would be so interesting that you would be compelled to use it to put your things away in it( it has scents, interesting knobs, special holders and latches, and colors). It was totally impractical, but it was the most impressive out of the box thinking I had ever seen in my years of engineering. A little guidance would have been a perfect accessory....When I told their teacher about it, she said Yeah that was really off the wall....talk about spitting in the soup and not getting it.....IEPs are obfuscated, over specified, and generally not implemented with any success.

All schools of this district are almost at the same level/standard.Good schools to trust the future of your children especially if for parents that dont have enough time at home to educate their kids.Excellent personal experience.

District 41 is a top level school district in the state with amazing educators and staff who work very hard to ensure our children have the best possible educational experience. The district is well funded, the staff are well paid, and the children receive a stellar education. There is a reason why Glen Ellyn has so many desirable neighborhoods. District 41 and Glenbard West are definitely two significant reasons.Be cognizant that the one star reviews are from recent students with an axe to grind about certainly something non-applicable.

Our 2 boys have been students in District 41, and all of the staff have been kind, professional, and caring. The schools do problem-based learning, which uses authentic situations and involves community as well. Highly recommended, and worth the hype!

My husband and I sacrifice quite a bit to keep our kids in this amazing district. It is expensive, but so worth the amazing education my kids receive. Everyone is very warm and welcoming and I am lucky to be a part of this district

Abraham Lincoln elementary is the only reason they get 2 stars they are great. My two oldest went there for a couple years, no problems. This year my youngest started pre-K at forest glen only a month in and I received a call from the school letting me know they had to call dcfs on a teachers aid Erin Helms Waterloo ..:for pushing my daughter to the floor and hanging another child up in the air by his arm. They did NOTHING about it it came to the point she quit and they were no longer able to repremand her so she will probably be at another school with children unfortunately. Reminding you this is a 2 hour pre-K program and she didn’t have patience for 2 hours. It’s sad. Also between the assistant principal, principal and superintendent the worst was the principal rude and not helpful at all. He stated if I let my child return he guarantees her safety ..but isn’t that what you promised when our children are registered?? Horrible horrible experience so glad she will be going to Abraham Lincoln the remainder k-5
