We took the pasta making class and afterwards felt capable of making our own at home. Fun atmosphere and good for people wanting to have a fun date night or learn new skills. Everyone in attendance was couples. Definitely a good thing to do with your partner. At times the instructor was moving ahead of the group or wasnt clear on some key points, but always managed to get us back on track or fix our mistakes. We plan on doing another class!

AMAZING! I received a cooking class as a Christmas gift . I took the Taste of New Orleans course . We made jambalaya , collard greens , and bourbon peach pecan bread pudding . Chef Doug and Chef Arty we’re very friendly and thorough through the course . They were very knowledgeable and easy to learn from . The food turned out amazing! The cooking assistants made sure the class ran smoothly and Felicia and Nina both were very friendly as well. The food turned out amazing and was very good . My experience was WONDERFUL. The only disappointment was that i couldn’t take my delicious meal home because they technically aren’t a restaurant . I would have gladly signed a waiver to be able to take my food home and enjoy more .

In response to the most recent review left from Michael, its called a proof of purchase. EVERY retail spot REQUIRES proof of purchase..aka the receipt. The fact they turned you down for USED merchandise is smart and also following company policy. Just because they say Sur La Table in the middle really doesnt validate you bought them at the store. They could be your moms hand-me-downs for all they know. So, dont be such a baby about it and leave such a rude review. Williams Sonoma is definitely waiting for you to shop at their store instead.Cheers! :)

The class was fun but way over priced. Im not sure if all of the classes are taught this way but I had a group style cooking class. Six people made one main dish to share and a dessert to share. So I had to pay $85 for one small plate of food and half of a baked peach for dessert. I thought we would have our own individual tables and ingredients to make our own individual plate.

Came here looking for conditioning oil for my cast iron that always loses its seasoning. I left with a heat diffuser for my electric stove after an employee told me they work well for this issue. Definitely great advice and its working great

Absolutely addictive cooking supply store with some of the best cooking classes anywhere. I cant get in and out of this place without finding something new I need. Be sure to visit the coffee bar and ask for demos of some amazing Espresso machines. Always wonderful staff.

Offers items that make you want to cook and entertain more, and feel a little fancy doing it. Great place to get gifts or gift cards - for the kitchen, entertaining, or for a class. Helpful, well informed staff. Items can be pricey, but understandably so. When I’ve seen items there that are at other stores, like an ice cream maker for example, Sur La Table’s prices are comparable. We took the Knife Skills class about 5 years back on recommendation from our neighbor. Although I cook just about every day, I learned valuable tips. It was really fun and helpful. I use the tricks I learned then still. My husband bought me a kick-A butcher knife and cutting board there not long after the class. He said he got great advice from a gentleman working there, and it really was great advice. The knife and board are still everyone’s favorites.I wish some of the classes were a little less pricey. The classes are great to take alone, with friends or as a couple, and I really like the idea of going there for more date nights, as my husband loved the class we went to as well. I’m not saying it’s not worth it, because the instruction is great. I just have difficulty personally justifying going to a course for 2 for 2 to 2.5 hours for $120-140.

An outstanding selection of must-have kitchen tools, appliances, etc. The customer service is consistently underwhelming though.

Great staff! As for Brandon Herbst and his 1 star rating, lifetime warranties only cover manufacturing faults. Misusing your cutlery in a manner causing the blades to chip is not a warranty issue. Dont buy high end knives if you do not know how to properly use them and care for them.

A great store with great cooking/baking supplies. I also love their cooking class options and how they have all of their higher-end coffee and espresso machines running so that you can try a sample before purchasing.

Purchased three jelly roll pans, all of which warped in the oven. Tried to return to the store after purchase and due to a lack of reciept, they refused to take the pans back. However, the pans were etched with the Sur La Table name in the metal. Would not recommend. This lack of customer service is a representation of the declining market for brick and mortar retail fronts. Williams Sonoma would have been more than exemplary for this situation.

Poor customer service. For Christmas I received a class as a gift, when I called the store to reschedule (1 1/2 week in advance) they gave me an 800 number. Called the 800 number only for them to say we dont reschedule. Ended up canceling the class and now am not sure about taking a class there at all.

Bought very expensive knives with a “lifetime warranty “. Went to exchange them as they have chips broken out of them as was told “tough luck”. Very disappointed.
