I wish I could provide a rating of 10 Stars based on an amazing employee, Julie. From the moment I walked in 4 months ago to inquire about signing my son up for guitar lessons, Julie was the first employee I encountered and she is amazing! She is not only extremely knowledgeable with many different instruments which I asked tons of questions about based on all of my children playing different instruments, she is someone I look forward to seeing because she is always so kind and helpful. Julie is a true gem and a very knowledgeable and wonderful employee. My children and I always smile when we come in weekly for lessons and get to see her. As for the store, always clean and kept up and quite a selection of music books and musical instruments and accessories.

Very nice store with all the necessities. We came in to grab supplies for my sons school band and they had everything we needed. The customer service is great and they are very patient. They do get backed up at times so showing patience as well is a plus. Well be coming back for all our musical needs!

My wife needed her autoharp repaired and tuned. Adrian greeted us and made us feel confident that Music and Arts would be excellent at meeting our request. Sure enough! I’ve been coming here on my lunch break every now and then, and I’m always greeted by the nicest, most respectful and relatable crew I’ve seen working in a while.They really know what they are talking about. Dominic, at least, was very helpful in recommending purchases that suit ME and not the most flashy and expensive or unnecessary things. I’m sure any of the team would offer the same service as well. I highly recommend them 👌 😊 Were from El Paso,Tx and my oldest plays the violin. Well we got to AZ where he decided to tell me. He completely forgot his violin at home. We crossed our fingers in hope to find a place. We called around to find out we wouldnt be able to rent one for two too three weeks. So we came here thinking to buy one. Where Perston, Jully, and Adrian (hope I spelled their names correctly). Helped us out but went above and beyond. My son really thought he would have a horrible percentage drop for not having his violin. Was saved Thank you Thank you 😊 no Idea how much this meant to him. Hope to be coming back more often as our transition to moving here.

I arrived at the store looking for advice. I bought a cornet (second hand) and wanted some information on what to do next. All 4 gentlemen in the store were very welcoming. The knowledge and information I received was far exceeding what I expected. I cant remember his name, but the gentleman explained the various options and features of my cornet. He even went as far as playing it, manipulating the slides and checked the instrument for other issues. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be coming back to get my instrument repaired. This place is a scam, they were expecting me to pay for 3 months of sessions when the music teacher confirmed that she barely had 3 sessions with me , very poorly co-ordinated customer service and shady business.

I stopped in today 10/10/19 to purchase a banjo strap. I was shown the selection and made a purchase. Transaction #412623. I was helped by Nikki White. She was professional, courteous and helpful. Went in last week to get a clarinet cleaned and have some work done. Nathan was very helpful in getting my order sent off, he told me it would be 7-10 days for pick up and it was shorter than that. Very helpful! Explained what needed to be done to the clarinet. I would recommend this store. Happy customer here.

As always this place is not disappointing. Whenever I needed instruments to be looked at or fixed, this is the place I can relying on. The manager, Nikki, is professional and knowledgeable. She gets the job done! All staffs are friendly and helpful.

We have been shopping here for over 9 years, whatever they dont have they will order. Whatever they cant fix in shop they will send out. Customer service is always fantastic, they always do what is right for the customer. They even price match! It may seem like a small store, but it is a huge resource and always should be your go-to music store. Cant recommend them enough! Much better than the big guys.

I visited the store on June 6th to get a few supplies for next school year (Im a band teacher) and Nikki, the manager, was very helpful. One item I wanted wasnt in the store, so she ordered it for me. I happened to see a ukulele that I really liked, which I hadnt planned on, but I purchased it along with a couple of ukulele books. I wanted a hard case to protect the instrument, so Nikki ordered that for me as well. All the while she was training 2 new employees. I got a call that my items were in and picked them up this Monday. Nikki was there again and waited on me again. Shes very friendly, helpful and professional. Im happy with my purchases and the service I received.

Hundreds of drumsticks are available at eye level as well as drumheads to fill the pro-players needs. Rythm instruments adorn the wall next to every popular style of Music Instrument book or sheet music needed.The center of the room is filled with every imaginable Reed,Metronome,Guitar or Violin String readily available,as well as all the electronic devices needed for the most modern recording sound. Behind the cashier area are the ever beautiful brass & woodwind instruments displayed on the wall. The stores are well appointed to fill all the needs of the local musicians, beginners through the symphony professionals,including Practice/Lesson rooms.I just happen to teach Drums for the Company for more than 11 yrs.Not only a great place to shop, it is a great place to work. Been coming here for a while for our kids school instruments. Great knowledgeable staff, willing to help in any way possible. Started taking lessons myswlf here in the evenings for guitar.

I called and talked to Gary about an old flute that I wanted to get checked out. He was very nice and helpful over the phone. I went down to the store and Gary was extremely wonderful. Above and beyond. He spent time looking over the flute. He fixed a few things on it and showed me how to shine it up.I will be back for everything I need from now on. I also noticed a young woman and another man at the front desk. They were both extremely courteous and helpful. Its nice to go into a business where the employees are happy and kind.

Our son wanted to try the clarinet and this store was so helpful! We drove over, they set us up for monthly affordable rental and it was great! Super helpful staff and easy to return after our trial run.

These are horribly rude staff. The manager Ms Niki and the front person Ms Kaila have been extremely rude and have inappropriate behavior towards the customers. My wife was unable to give the credit card number available for a session so we requested to offer cash pay or check for one day but the whole management and front team was extremely rude towards her and the child.They all teamed up and decided not to offer the lessons to the kid which was kind of totally inappropriate. Even we requested that our kid has an exam but still they denied any sessions . We will never recommend them to anyone for their child education , as we go there to have our kids being helped and not to listen to rude and inappropriate behavior of the staff there. Absolutely will never recommend them for anyone.

I went there in December to return a cello and stop the rental. The owner stop me because “I can use my credit against another instrument”. Perfect.. 3 phone calls later and almost 2 months and I’m still waiting. Nikki is taking care of it..

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. My son left the bells at school over the summer. They wanted $250.00 in lost instrument fees and wouldnt take the instrument back until the equipment was with it or the fees were paid. I explained that I am now out of state and have no contact with my sons mom and have very little chance of getting the missing parts back but would try if they would accept it as is. They wouldnt! They said if I tried to leave it, they would call the police. I left if anyway! I will never use this place or recommend them to anyone else and will make it a life mission to hurt their business.

It has a small, mostly student level selection of guitars and amps. I asked the salesman a direct question about whether he carried a specific product, and he just kept rolling. So I looked around for a second, and split.

The store on Bell is great! Very friendly and on top of it! Now the music and arts in Frederick, MD is ridiculous! They had my card number since August of 2016 when I rented the Alto Sax. Got a bill with late fees in October. I called and ask them what was going on. It was off by two numbers. Dont know why because I wrote the right number. Then in September I lost my card. I called them with my new credit card number! Things were updated SO I THOUGHT! Its now April 2017 and I notice they took $308.40 out of my checking account! Called again! Here this whole time they been using the card that got lost while they still had my new credit card number! It was getting denied. You would think a lightbulb would have turned on in their heads saying, Oh lets try this other number... but ohhhh no they just kept using my cancelled card number instead. Then waited till the bill wrecked up to $308.40! Awesome job! So Im paying for someone mistake! The guy I left my card number with didnt leave any notes! Didnt even take the other card number off the account! So if you all rent instruments make sure you watch your bank account closely.

We went to Music and Arts for two years. During that time, we loved our childs piano teacher. however, there would be times where they would not contact us if the teacher had cancelled our session. We had a hard time rescheduling these times. When our childs piano teacher moved, we were assigned to a new teacher who we were not happy with. After multiple times of trying to reschedule missed lessons, we decided to leave. After we left, we tried to receive a credit and we were told that since we had signed the original agreement that stated if we miss a lesson, we would not be refunded at all. I requested to speak to a manager and was told he was not in on Tuesdays and he would call me back. He never did. It is very disappointing to run a business with horrible customer service.
