This campus also had issues with not releasing my son to his after care and failed to notify my wife or myself, we found out due to our family app and calling the aftercare, which forced me to leave work to pick him up only to be told to wait until a late release period of which he was not released, I had to return to the office and demand he be brought there.The second issue is that they have a staff member forcibly placing a mask on my child after he stated he was not to wear a mask and told the staff member such, who then proceeded to tell my child that they are the boss not his parents and they know whats best for my child!If I feel this situation has been remedied I will adjust my review accordingly as we do like my students teacher and he enjoys her class!

I changed my review to 5 stars. My issue was with the jacket policy. After speaking with school officials, I now understand the policy. I intended to buy all 3 of my daughters jackets without hoods this weekend, but then I received a call from the school offering my girls jackets which is greatly appreciated. With our rent being raised to $1600/ mo., I was a bit worried about spending money. Thank you Academy of Math & Science for lifting some weight off my shoulders. 1 other thing, my 2 youngers daughters have complained about a girl that hangs around the bathroom picking on the younger kids. If you could please take a look into this matter. Shes a red head girl, Aria says shes a middle schooler. Thank you

This school has missed placed my child twice in less than a week. My child is supposed to go into aftercare, upon completion of the school day. Instead my child has ended up being released with a sibling he doesnt have (only child) the first time and the second time in the vice principle offices as a late pickup. I requested to speak with the principal the second time they lost my child and the requested was denied. Instead I was offered the vice principal whom I spoke with the first time and she placed the blame on my 5 year old child. Pherphas it is time to change schools, if they are incapable of keeping track of children.

Worst decision I have made, is transferring my children to this school.. I cant wait to be able to get them into another school.. When that happens Ill be able to go into full detail 🤗

Staff is very friendly and helpful, the dean of students was very instantly and superior of my concerns regarding the reward system. The special education teacher was extremely patient and helpful with the kids placement testing.

My children have attended AMS Glendale since they opened. The staff have been extremely helpful and always kind. The teachers and office staff show that they care for the students. One of my kids have alot of medical issues and I am so thankful that she is at AMS and they were able to help me with making sure her education and school social life remains normal and she is safe. I really do appreciate you all. For a fairly new school they are doing fabulous.

The new vehicle control is a disaster, in the morning cars in double file with children and teachers walking in the middle of the cars, God willing and do not have an accident so that they do something about it, in the afternoon the cars parked in the street waiting Entering the school, you enter and you still wait another half hour for your children to be delivered to you, it is a real disorder without feet or head,

This school does not communicate with parents. My son was being bullied and a kid pulled a knife on him, I spoke with the principle on multiple occasions yet nothing happened. When in person learning was offered to my child and I went to enroll him they refused to take him even though he was failing every class. Good luck trying to talk to someone they put you on hold for 20 minutes and then hang up. When I went to withdraw my son, they refused to help me or give me the paperwork. Voted Best in Glendale I dont know where they got this from because that is not true. Dont be fooled by the big buildings and pretty campus.

I have 2 kids at this school and am so impressed with ALL the staff. It starts at the top with the awesome Principal Mrs. Kane and rolls all the way down through the school. They are all awesome and work so hard for the kids. It is all about the kids not money or numbers!

My granddaughter was released today to daycare and the school was not informed yet which daycare she was to attend. My daughter was freaking out, this school needs to pay more attention to the kindergarten class, mind you this was only the 2nd day of school. Anyone could of taken my granddaughter. Im taking this issue to a higher up since the school cant get it together. When we leave our children at school, we are trusting that they are in a safe environment. We arent feeling very confident that the staff here are taking kids lives serious. Whats the point of the dismissal card if nobodys paying close attention. What if she was sent off to the wrong daycare???

This is a great new school. The opportunities and variety of classes for students are great! Both our boys have learned new languages that they can try out with others in public. There is definitely a family feel when you arrive on campus which is surprising with such a large student population.As a new school, the only rooms for improvement are; more fluid and consistent parent communication; fine tuning the student expectations and discipline policies and procedures.We look forward to growing with AMS Glendale and seeing our boys succeed.

Love the mission and the fact that it is a new school. Campus is beautiful and my youngest is excelling academically. I wish teachers were more patient and committed in middle school but overall a great school.

After reading some of these misleading comments about Claudia, I thought its only right I give her a well deserved review. When looking at schools for my children, the educational standards of the schools were extremely important but more so then that were the role models my children will be around for a majority of their days. Claudia is the office manager and rightfully so because she is always extremely knowledgeable in campus activities and treats everyone with respect including coworkers, parents, and students. My children have grown to love going to Academy of Math and Science Glendale, my children feel safe and it is clear they can approach their teachers and the office staff with any questions, concerns they have both personal and school related. I have actually gone into the front office multiple times to ask about school activities and programs for my children, and I was surprised at my childrens excitement to see Claudia. Claudia greeted each of my children and asked them how they were doing, then proceeded to answer all of my questions. She had flyers on hand and I left the office better prepared to encourage my childrens involvement in student activities. If I ever doubted my choice in schools for my children; Claudias actions and interactions with my children have reassured me that although I am not with my children while they are at school, there is ATLEAST one person at the school whom my children feel comfortable with, and atleast one person who cares for the students as if they were their own children. If you ever have any questions I would recommend calling or going in to the front office, the entire office staff is super friendly and always willing to help.

The control of the vehicles within the school limits is not adequate, many drivers drive at excessive speed, leave in the opposite direction, cross other drivers, and park on the starting line in front of the offices interfering with everyone else nobody does anything about it, I hope I do not have to go through an accident so that they take action on the matter

I am absolutely disgusted! my son was being bullied and harassed CONSTANTLY and was even outed in front of the WHOLE class by a teacher. and when we took it to the principal they did absolutely nothing!

I gave this place a chance.. and I shouldn’t have. The pick up is EXTREMELY unorganized — STILL. My child and their teacher have been abused by other students (as far as having bruises for days!) and the staff does not do anything about it. The teacher is leaving the school now! So my kid has to adjust AGAIN. I would not recommend this school to anyone. The parents do no obey procedures and the school doesn’t enforce them either way. I even had a 1st graders parents pull up to my personal home address over a phone that was stolen by another student — all off of hear say. I cannot wait for next semester to transfer my child. I thought this school would be a higher standard for our community but it’s the same trash with a new and improved look.

I want to start of with thanking Cynitha Darr, Viviana Mollon, Claudia Guerra and Maria Jimenez. After experiencing a horrible experience at their 67th Ave. and Camelback location. We took our daughter in for her placement test to start kindergarten. No one was wearing mask or taking temperatures not even the employees that were working with the children one on one. After expressing my concern the young lady said that she could have every wear mask if that made us feel more comfortable. I said yes so she went to hand them at a mask and I notice that one of the employees name Diane Has a smirk on her face as if it was funny or a joke that we were concerned. She glanced over and noticed that I was looking at her so at that point she decided to put on her mask.after the test we decided that we did not feel comfortable with allowing our daughter To start school in a facility where they don’t take the pandemic that we are all living serious. We decided to go to the Glendale location to see if all The math and science academy’s were as bad as the one we left. As we arrive to this location we noticed a huge difference as we are walking up to the office. They have a big sign that states that they require masks and that they will be taking your temperature. Once we walk in we noticed that everyone is wearing their mask and the first thing they do after greeting us is take our temperature. I started telling them the horrifying experience we had at their Camelback location and asked if there was any way that our child can start kindergarten with them instead of the other location. The office manager spoke with the registration administrator. She came out greeted us and took us back to her office and was able to register our daughter at that location and answer all the questions we had. I really appreciate the professionalism and kindness that they all showed. They truly made us feel comfortable. I can definitely say that it was a total 180° compared to the experience a couple of hours prior at the other location. I’m really looking forward to seeing you guys again and really I cannot thank you enough.

This is the worst school I’ve ever dealt with! The staff is very rude in the office. I see now why their staff is constantly changing and the students have transferred to other schools. This school does not protect children from bullying! They are very slow to accommodate anything. Asking for records to transfer my son was a nightmare I wouldn’t recommend sending any child to this school even if it was the only school! The staff in front office argues with parents and is very rude on the phone! They don’t even deserve this one star!

Currently my two younger brothers attend this school! one of them agree with one of the previous comments that were made. He also adds, there are some students that have bad behaviour and they get multiple chances compared to the students who have a better behaviour records.

My stepchildren havent been in the school long enough to say anything horrible about the educational aspect however, the office manager Claudia should seriously consider a different profession. She was extremely rude, loud and completely unprofessional when I was late to pick up my kids. You could see the frustration on her face. The office was filled with children and adults both and maybe that overwhelmed her. I did NOT appreciate her attack because we were late. By the time I leave the school and make a phone call to someone there above her, she has already told them her side of what happened. Its so discouraging that this type of person could be office manager. I really do hope this incident was isolated.
