Gloversville Community Music is an amazing beacon of culture in an area starving for the arts. I was incredibly fortunate enough to have found this program though my teacher in high school. The concerts, lessons, masterclasses, and general get-togethers helped prepare me for both my bachelors in music and now my masters. The concerts and master classes that have been put on through here are always incredible quality. Every community needs a place like this!!

Joshua has been such an amazing teacher over the past 4 years and has helped me develop as a horn player significantly. He was able to help me score very highly on a level 6 nyssma solo which then sent me to area all state. Gloversville Community music has given me a greater appreciation for music and would recommend seeing their concerts and for musicians (especially high school students) to take lessons with them.

It has been a great experience on 2 levels with GCM. My son takes oboe lessons with Kelly and these lessons have allowed him to grow as a musician. Her professionalism, expertise, and teaching skills are exceptional! My son has also participated with GCM in the seasonal concerts. He has enjoyed the choice of music, the conductor (of course!), and the professional environment in which the musicians work together! As a parent, this is a top notch program. The facilities are very nice, also. Great parking and a very nice learning space.

Gloversville Community Music is amazing. We have such a wonderful experience with Kelly. When our son began last year he was struggling with the oboe and his band teacher was noticably frustrated. Since working with Kelly he has grown immensly, he attented NYSMA for the first time and scored one point below outstanding. Last night at his middle school graduation not only did his band teach say he was not allowed to leave middle school but he was awarded the distinguished band award. We have Kelly to thank for that. I would recommend GCM for anyone looking to not just imporve but to excell in their music.

Very professional! My daughter excelled in her music studies at school as a result of the teaching and encouragement she received at GCM. The concerts are outstanding and a definite plus to our area.
