Honestly I would NOT recommend going here!! The teachers are not your friends. They are overwhelming, rude, and very strict. The amount of homework they give is ridiculous (and talk about overwhelming). The dress code is strict. And the lockers are always crowded I or my child is always hitting their or my head on the lockers and the students will not move or respect your space! The passing time is 5 minutes and doesn’t give you enough time to get to class!! All the teachers send emails and expect you to read them well no one checks their emails!! I or my child is always bringing in late work because they expect you to read your emails!! They send you off with no homework and then send you an email saying you have homework!! All the bad reviews on this school are true.

This is a great school with a focus on academics. The homework load is manageable so its possible to get a good education and participate in sports and other activities too. They have high expectations not just academically, but they enforce behavior standards and dress code.

We see and agree with Benjamin Oviedos point in her review and frustration with Manning. It took Manning 2 weeks to turn our straight A kids (transferred from Boulder) who always loved school to harboring a fear of school, the mean & unfriendly girls, and the teachers, including the principal Barbara Bares (somewhat of a bully herself!). School, as everybody knows, is a lot more than academics. They are a public school thats trying very hard to be a boarding school with strict rules; unfortunately very inconsistently applied. They have, quote - high behavioral standards, which mostly applies to what one wears and absolutely NOTHING to do with the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially towards others. How would the kids be much better if they are following their teachers examples? The front desk staff is also as cold as they come. The school has something called the Manning way - no one tells you what it is but you are expected to follow it (even new transferring students) or face the consequences without a heads up or an explanation of what it actually is. Academics, for us, was the easy part! We reside a few blocks from Manning and were excited to be going there. We couldn’t take it anymore and did not want our kid’s psyche’s to be affected to the point of impacting academics so 3 weeks in, we moved them to Bell Middle School. One short week into Bell and we couldn’t be happier. None of the meanness and inconsistencies in applying rules. So much warmth from the teachers, staff and students – what a difference! They now leave and return with smiles, like they always did. We have no doubt they have a better chance of remaining “straight A” students in a hospitable & nurturing environment, even as they pursue advanced courses: iSTEM, Spanish, etc.

Freedom of speech is the right to articulate ones opinions and ideas without fear of government retaliation or censorship, or societal sanction.[1][2][3][4] The term freedom of expression is sometimes used synonymously, but includes any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used. The right to freedom of expression is recognized as a human right under article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). Article 19 of the ICCPR states that everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference and everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice. Article 19 additionally states that the exercise of these rights carries special duties and responsibilities and may therefore be subject to certain restrictions when necessary [f]or respect of the rights or reputation of others or [f]or the protection of national security or of public order (order public), or of public health or morals.[5][6]Freedom of speech and expression are not absolute, and common limitations to freedom of speech relate to libel, slander, obscenity, pornography, sedition, incitement, fighting words, classified information, copyright violation, trade secrets, non-disclosure agreements, the right to privacy, the right to be forgotten, public security, and perjury. Justifications for such include the harm principle, proposed by John Stuart Mill in On Liberty, which suggests that: the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others.[7] The idea of the offense principle is also used in the justification of speech limitations, describing the restriction on forms of expression deemed offensive to society, considering factors such as extent, duration, motives of the speaker, and ease with which it could be avoided.[7] With the evolution of the digital age, application of the freedom of speech becomes more controversial as new means of communication and restrictions arise, for example the Golden Shield Project, an initiative by Chinese governments Ministry of Public Security that filters potentially unfavorable data from foreign countries.

Manning Middle School has got to be the most discriminating school Ive ever known about here in Wheat Ridge! After two days of my son attending there, I was called in and was told that my son was behind on every thing! They didnt ask me how they can help my son catch up on his work, they showed absolutely no care or interest in helping my son catch up to where he needs to be. They told me there was no program at their school to meet my childs needs. They pretty much told me in a very polite way that my child was not good enough for their school. To move him on. I was so disgusted with how discriminating this school was, I was about to call our familys attorney and file a complaint against that school. If it wasnt for my son sharing with me one morning on our way to Evveritt that he was excited to see the rest of his friends, and my husband calming me down, I would have had that schools name all over the local news!!! Bottom line people, if your son/daughter is not Harvard bound ? dont sign them up. That school is being run by people who do not tolerate children with slow learning, or even learning disabilities. They will not help your child get to where they need to be, they DO NOT WELCOME SLOW LEARNERS!! And they will ask you with a very polite smile to move them on. They made me feel awful, like my child was not good enough to attend their freaking school! Again, I had the phone to my ear calling our familys attorney READY to have that schools perfect score all over the local news letting every body know how discriminating they are towards certain children. Obviously, from my experience, if your student is not a math magician, dont sign them up! They asked if my child had hit his head as a toddler!! LOLS! They are soooo dang lucky my husband talked me out of making that dang phone call!

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (/ˈhɪləri daɪˈæn ˈrɒdəm ˈklɪntən/; born October 26, 1947) is an American politician who was the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013, U.S. Senator from New York from 2001 to 2009, First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001, and the Democratic Partys nominee for President of the United States in the 2016 election.Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, Clinton graduated from Wellesley College in 1969, and earned a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1973. After serving as a congressional legal counsel, she moved to Arkansas and married Bill Clinton in 1975. In 1977, she co-founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families. She was appointed the first female chair of the Legal Services Corporation in 1978 and became the first female partner at Rose Law Firm the following year. As First Lady of Arkansas, she led a task force whose recommendations helped reform Arkansass public schools. As First Lady of the United States, Clinton fought for gender equality and healthcare reform. Because her marriage survived the Lewinsky scandal, her role as first lady drew a polarized response from the public. Clinton was elected in 2000 as the first female senator from New York. She was re-elected to the Senate in 2006. Running for president in 2008, she won far more delegates than any previous female candidate, but lost the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama.[1]As Secretary of State in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2013, Clinton responded to the Arab Spring, during which she advocated the U.S. military intervention in Libya. She helped organize a diplomatic isolation and international sanctions regime against Iran, in an effort to force curtailment of that countrys nuclear program; this would eventually lead to the multinational Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action agreement in 2015. Leaving office after Obamas first term, she wrote her fifth book and undertook speaking engagements.Clinton made a second presidential run in 2016. She received the most votes and primary delegates in the 2016 Democratic primaries, and formally accepted her partys nomination for President of the United States on July 28, 2016 with vice presidential running mate Senator Tim Kaine. She became the first female candidate to be nominated for president by a major U.S. political party. Despite winning a plurality of the national popular vote, Clinton lost the Electoral College and the presidency to her Republican rival Donald Trump.[2]

Paddle tires are mainly used on off road vehicles, specifically designed for use in sandand mud. They consist of a smooth tire core which has a series of large rubber cups (or paddles) attached to it. The volume inside of a paddle is much larger than the void of a knobby tire, so it is unlikely to clog up with sand/mud. A street legal mud tire is a more or less normal tire, but with extra large gaps or voids between each tread block (called lugs) to allow centrifugal force to self-clean or fling the mud out of the gap. Smaller gaps trap the mud in between the tire lugs, which turns the tire into something resembling a slick with no tread at all, which will have no traction in mud. A paddle tire is an even more extreme version of this, optimized for mud or sand. The paddle provides superior traction in the sand, in part, because the paddles dig into the sand and push off from the buried sand, not just the surface, and in mud, the gigantic voids give no place for mud to stick. They work something like a paddle wheel on a paddle-steamer. Street legal mud tires are a compromise between large voids and a smooth rolling shape for on-road use. The more extreme a mud tire (such as a Super Swamper) is, the harsher and louder it is on a hard surface. A tractor tire on a farm tractoris a somewhat more mild version of a paddle tire, only the voids are smaller to allow for limited use on hard surfaces, and the lugs are angled to give lateral traction. A paddle tire is so optimized for mud that the shape is of no use on anything other than a soft surface, since the vibration and lack of control of the tire would render a vehicle almost unusable. One other way the paddle tire is a specialized-application-only is that it gives only forward/rearward traction. This means that it is used on a wheel that drives a vehicle to push it forward, but gives little lateral (side-to-side) traction. For that reason, the tires of the vehicle that steer it are generally more normal tires, since a paddle tire on a steering wheel will just slide sideways rather than pulling the vehicle with it. So many 4WD vehicles will use paddle tires only on the rear, although the front wheels are powered as well. On a 2WD or a motorbike, the rear wheel is the only drive wheel, and so putting a paddle tire on the front wheels is useless or worse, since steering performance will be negatively impacted.Paddle tires are available for motocrossbikes, all-terrain vehicles, sandrails, and 4 wheel drives. Because the paddles are rigid and stick up several inches, they are not suitable for use on roads or hard terrain, and are not road legal in most places.Often on rear wheel drive quads and dirt bikes specific front sand tires are used in conjunction with rear paddle tires. These front tires are usually called razorbacks or simply ribbed front tires. The tire carcass overall is smooth with the exception of one to three longitudinal ribs around the circumference of the tire. These ribs are usually about an inch high. This design promotes flotation in the sand due to the smooth part of the tire but also, using the rib to dig into the sand, it provides extra turning force.

The original product was made at the Casa de Fritos at Disneyland in Anaheim, California during the early 1960s. Using surplus tortillas, the company-owned restaurant cut them up and fried them (as in traditional Mexican chips called totopos) and added basic seasoning, resembling the Mexican chilaquiles, but in this case being dry. Arch West was the Vice President of Marketing of Frito-Lay at the time, and noticed their popularity. He made a deal with Alex Foods in 1964, the provider of many items for Casa de Fritos at Disneyland, and produced the chips for a short time regionally, before it was overwhelmed by the volume, and Frito-Lay moved the production in-house to its Tulsa plant.[3]Doritos were released nationwide in 1966, the first tortilla chip to be launched nationally in the United States.[4] The name derives from the Mexican Spanish doradito, meaning golden brown.[5]According to Information Resources International, in 1993, Doritos earned $1.2 billion in retail sales, one-third of the total Frito-Lay sales for the year. Nevertheless, in the costliest redesign in Frito-Lay history, in 1994 the company spent $50 million to redesign Doritos to make the chips 20% larger, 15% thinner, and rounded the edges of the chip. Roger J. Berdusco, the vice president of tortilla chip marketing, said a primary reason for the change was greater competition from restaurant-style tortilla chips, that are larger and more strongly seasoned.[6] The design change was the result of a two-year market research study that involved 5,000 chip eaters. The new design gave each chip rounded corners, making it easier to eat and reducing the scrap resulting from broken corners. Each chip was also given more seasoning, resulting in a stronger flavor. The redesigned chips were released in four flavors beginning in January 1995.[6]The previousDoritoslogo can still be seen on the popular Nacho Cheese flavor. In the United States, Frito-Lay eliminated trans fat from all Doritos varieties in 2002. The same year, the Doritos brand began complying with U.S. Food and Drug Administration labeling regulations, four years before the regulations became mandatory.[7]The company was sued in 2003 by Charles Grady, who claimed that his throat had been damaged because of eating Doritos. According to him, the shape and rigidity of the chips made them inherently dangerous. [8]Grady attempted to admit into evidence a study by a former chemistry professor that calculated how best to safely swallow the chips. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court later ruled that the study did not meet scientific standards and could not be presented as evidence.[7]In 2005, Doritos sales in the United States fell by 1.7% to $595 million. To increase sales in 2006, the company launched several new flavors, a new label, and more bilingual advertising. Frito-Lay vice president Joe Ennen described this as the most significant rebranding and relaunch in Doritos 38-year history.[9]On February 21, 2013, the Doritos logo was changed again,[10] and the advertising slogan FOR THE BOLD adopted.[11]In 2015, Doritos introduced a limited edition Rainbow Doritos product, which were only available to those making a minimum donation of $10 to the It Gets Better Project, a non-profit organization that supports LGBT youth.[12] The promotion raised $100,000 for the organization, and was met with controversy.[13]
