I am an alumni of the Goleta School of Ballet and I really miss this wonderful place. The students are so supportive of each other and the teachers give you great feedback in class. I also love that this school gives students the opportunity to perform a different full-length classical ballet every year with professional-level choreography. The entire school is such a friendly community and whenever I go back to visit, the students, teachers, and even parents are so welcoming.I also highly recommend the drop-in adult classes—they are a great workout in a fun, friendly environment!

My daughter has been with the Goleta School of Ballet for 8 years now and I wouldnt have it any other way. Lisa, Emily and Gina are great teachers who offer excellent guidance and demand the best from their students. Best of all, this is done in a very friendly and nurturing environment. Their productions are always beautiful and very professional and everyone has a chance to participate. Im always happy to see how dedicated these dancers are and how much they are willing to help each other. The same goes for the adult classes: great people, great environment and much dedication.

My daughter has been to several dance schools in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area and Goleta School of Ballet has been by far the best! Lisa runs an amazing school and her productions are top notch. I cannot say enough about how happy I am. If your child is interested in ballet this is the place to go!

This school has wonderful, highly qualified instructors. My daughter dances with the school’s preprofessional company, Goleta Ballet Theatre, which puts on several full length ballet productions each year. She loves the school and her dance peers. I highly recommend this school.

When we moved to Santa Barbara about 3 yrs ago, both my daughters decided to focus on Ballet and joined Goleta School of Ballet. It has been a great experience to see them grow and blossom as ballerinas!!! Goleta School of Ballets training is great and on par with many of the ballet schools around the country!

My daughter has been dancing for Miss Lisa, Emily & Gina for 7 years. The studio is a great reflection of what the teachers are like. Very professional, inviting & family oriented. The attention to detail that goes into each costume, performances & to my own daughter is amazing. I highly recommend signing your son or daughter up with this studio!

While we live in Santa Barbara, we selected the Goleta School of Ballet for our daughter. This school reflects the values and experiences we want for our daughter as she becomes a young woman. The teachers are more than teachers, they care for each childs athletic development as well as each childs personal development. After 4 years with Miss Gina, Miss Lisa and Miss Emily, my daughter loves dance more than ever and her confidence has developed beyond measure. I am so thankful that my daughter is learning to love dance, develop lifelong friendships and have mentors such as her ballet teachers.

A wonderful Ballet school! It has beautiful dancers, costumes and productions, all thanks to excellent instructors. I very much recommend aspiring young dancers to sign up for classes and for all others to attend a performance. I danced with this school for fourteen years and will forever be thankful for the amazing experience I had.

Goleta School of Ballet has been my daughters second home for seven years. Miss Lisa and Miss Gina have not only taught my daughter solid technique but have instilled in her a passion for ballet which apparently knows no bounds. My daughter auditioned for the American Ballet Theatre Young Dancers Summer Workshop in 2015 and was accepted, thanks to her training at Goleta School of Ballet! Older girls at the studio compete in Youth America Grand Prix.The classical ballet productions are always of excellent quality, and the summer dance camp and pre-professional summer intensive are magical. The school always secures excellent guest artists to teach during the intensives.We love Goleta School of Ballet so much that Ive even started taking their adult classes!

My daughter has gone to GSB for 4 years and it has been a great experience! Miss Gina, Miss Lisa, and Miss Emily are such wonderful teachers. They have really instilled love of dance in my daughter, and I hope we can continue for years to come!

Lisa and Gina are wonderful instructors. They skillfully run a school with the little ballerinas as well as a company with advanced dancers. They put on amazing productions and more importantly foster our childrens dance dreams.

GBS is a great school! The school is very inclusive and the recitals and plays are fantastic! My family and friends enjoy the production and look forward to seeing them. My daughter has been attending ballet here since she was in kindergarten and loves not only learning ballet, but also because Miss Lisa, Gina, and Emily are very nurturing. They provide a positive, encouraging, and empowering environment. This summer was her first time attending summer camp and she loved it! She cherishes the friends shes made and is looking forward for this fall school year as she is excited to learn pointe.

GSB is unparalleled in the South Coast for its focus on developing strong classical ballet technique, while encouraging all students to participate and fulfill their unique potential. The atmosphere is inclusive and supportive, yet challenging. GSB is the only school that invites all students to perform in full length classical ballets twice a year, and gives them the experience of being in a professional company. The schools junior training company, Goleta Ballet Theater, provides advanced students with the tools to carry their skills to college dance programs or professional companies. The schools artistic directors, Lisa Abshere and Emily Maye Abshere, and the entire teaching faculty bring a wealth of experience and skill to the school that one would expect to find in a larger metropolitan setting. The Goleta and Santa Barbara communities are truly fortunate to have a school of this caliber in the area.
