After deciding to pursue a career in bartending, I researched a few schools and decided on this one. I took the weekend class (Sat & Sun, 9-5), and within two days, I feel confident I could go back behind a bar and start working. John has an awesome way of teaching - the way I learn is not by reading, but by actually doing something. From the minute class started we were back behind the bar - practicing making drinks. Instead of someone lecturing us on how to make a Cape Cod, Fuzzy Navel, trying to memorize the ingredients, etc, we were actually making them over and over to where youre not thinking in your head, what was in that again? - you just know what to do.Overall, John has some of the best teaching methods Ive seen. Highly recommend this class!

Fantastic bartending school with an amazing instructor! John is experienced, knowledgeable, and keeps the class interesting. His word associations make the drinks easy to remember and the learning environment is just like a real bar. I highly recommend this school!

Awesome program with an awesome director! John not only teaches thorough knowledge to handle a bartending position in the real world, but also lets you in on many secrets youll never learn sitting at the bar until youre working behind it. Ive looked into other programs, and after completing the weekend course at Pacific Coast Bartending School, I will never recommend any others. I learned so much in two days, and now ONE day after completion, Im looking into jobs ASAP because I feel THAT comfortable! Dont miss out on this program!

Not knowing there was a local bartending school here in Santa Barbara, I enrolled with a ventura/oxnard school and found it very unprofessional. Then by coincidence, the bar manager, Rick, at the Elks Lodge told my mom about PCBS. The extra $295 investment for the weekend course was well worth it. John builds a relationship with you and makes you feel confident behind the bar, preparing your resume, job search and not just a business transaction.
