If I could give this school 0 stars I would. From their academics, poor administration, military style teaching and countless other monumental disappointments. They play by their own rules, feel as though they need to answer to no one, and in turn compromise the safety of each and every child at that school. I have found that they bury complaints. Kids are punished harshly for talking while walking in line in the hallway, yet can violently bully other children dozens of times with no repercussions. Its appalling. I was told that my children would get a good education here. I drive 30 minutes out of my own district because I believed in what they claimed to stand for. Much to mine and may other parents disappointment, education is not their top priority. There isnt even a school nurse and the woman (with no medical background what so ever) doesnt even show up to tend to any illnesses until 2 hours after school begins. Nothing short of down right deplorable. Sadly there are actually teachers and other staff such as the receptionists whom actually really care about these kids, but the administration makes it impossible for them to be advocates for our kids, and actually have run really great teachers out of the building for even trying to protect and educate the children. Unfortunately with 6 weeks left of school, I am forced to keep my children in attendance, but I assure you we will not be back. And in order to keep my children safe, I will be a strong presence in the building for the remainder of the school year.

The owner and director are very hands on. There staff is working on becoming better with each passing day. They aime to challenge your child. Love there open door policy. They are small but looking to grow. Very family oriented. Sometimes extreamly busy but they try there best to help every parent. One male teacher is very rude to the older students.

First of all to the lady that wouldnt leave us alone and kept telling us how great this school was. Thanks for bringing all the bullies from my past daughters school to this one. Ive listened day in and day out about this. So today my daughter tells me shes getting detention. I ask her what happened and come to find out, she took the blame for her friends. She didnt even make up the issue shes being punished for. Thats respect and honor. Im proud of my girl, and for this principle not being able to see through these girls and get the truth. Its sad i cant transfer her to another school because of over packed classrooms.

My boys (1st and 2nd grade) just started attending this school and they love it. Since there are less children in each class, each child gets more one on one attention.

Just so everyone knows that the only ones giving this school a 5 star rating are people who work there at the school. Also they accept kids that have bad behavior and have been thrown out of public schools. They are so desperate to have students enrolled in their school because theyre at risk of closing the school, due to bad reviews, and experiences.

Dont bother to enroll your child in this school. They dont have a nurse and will call you to come and get your child out of school for every little thing. If there is goood reviews it must be because the staff wrote them.

I removed my kids from public schools due to large class sizes and the poor experiences to include teachers(or more accurately schools) failing to meet the needs of my kids, one of which has an IEP. While living in a remote area I fell in love with a small charter school and decided this year they would attend a charter. The teachers here are awesome. I have a 1st, 3rd, and 5th grader and Ive enjoyed their teachers thoroughly. Mr. Harris was a wonderful teacher that genuinely cared. I was I credibly sad to see him retire over Christmas break. It also upsets me a great deal that the school seemed to imply they simply hired a second 5th grade teacher, not replaced him. Mrs. Turner holds several degrees, one of which is special education.Mrs. Eastwood is a wonderful first grade teacher as well. My youngest thoroughly enjoys her.Now onto the 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Connelly. I adore this woman. She was fun and enthusiastic. She was and is passionate about her students learning. She was very present and held my student to be accountable. She taught beyond regurgitating information onto a test. Why am I using the term was? My 8 year old daughter came home and informed me, Mrs. Connelly left HPA forever. I think she went back to Pennsylvania to teach kinder while sobbing. Ive learned Mrs. Connelly intended to complete this school year and seek employment elsewhere however, due to differences she parted from HPA mid week without so much as being allowed to say goodbye to the students. On to the even better news, the current replacement holds no degree, certification to be a teacher nor substitute. While I understand in short notice cases, a parapro is acceptable to step in, not for a week or longer without any sight of a new qualified teacher. The state requires the school to notify the parents when there is an under qualified teacher is instructing their students. I was NOT notified by the school.Needless to say I am incredibly unhappy over the situation.
