The teachers here are AMAZING!!! The food is pretty good and my third year here has been the best school experience ever! There is a lot of drama, shoving, pushing and all that people are saying whats negative about this school. I honestly agree but thats how most middle schoolers are. The staff at South are all amazing people and I love them all so much. There are so many opportunities here including sports. This school is the best middle school in Grants Pass and surrounding areas. I dont know what else to say but have a nice day I guess 😂

They never clean the bathrooms, there is graffiti in the girls bathroom calling other girls names, or even saying theyre going to kill themselves. Most of the students are very disrespectful, the staff really do try. And other students also are going down very bad paths, its just that the staff dont notice it. People bully other people and I dont think the staff get that its bullying. The halls are very crowded at the end of the day barely enough room anyone to go down them. There is a lot of pushing and shoving. Like again the students are very disrespectful and call each other names, and make fun of people based on their looks. By posting pictures of them on social media. Please pray for the incoming class to be better than the last.

As a former student i Loved this school. The teachers and opportunities for each student are great. the curriculum is well taught although the campus does need some major remodeling for an increase in student attending

I really liked going here, but why did that one girl say that north is better when she cant use right grammar. Jeez but other then that THIS SCHOOL IS AWESOME!

I am an 8th grade at South Middle School. I have got to say that with many years as a student there I learned a lot. The teachers definitely get students active with many lessons. South also has many great sport, music, art etc. opportunity’s. If you have a way for your child or simply live in the district, I would definitely encourage you to enroll your child at South Middle School!

This was the spiciest best experience in school o have have ever had I really liked how the teachers pernounced my names top notch I wish I could give it a 6 because we werent allowed to wear shoes

As an 8th grader, I think I can say a few things about our school. Its a nice school, all the teachers are nice, and you can make friends quickly if you meet the right group. Its just sad to see everyone pushing in the halls, calling each other names, and disrespecting the teachers, adn the constant flow of 6th graders dont make it any easier to get what you need to do. They are always making you want to fight, they pick on other students, curse in almost every sentence they use, and run in the halls, shoving anyone who is in their way. The fact that there are even more coming in every year just makes it harder. I would say you would want your kids to go to North, they will have a higher respect for other people there.

Im curtly the preiz and i think its the best school. Yes it does have its negative comments about it but at the end of the day it one of the best.

Hello, I am the president here. This is an AMAZING school. Great teachers, music and athletics. Some of my peers comments have been regarding the students as being disrespectful. This is just the nature of young teens. The students here are actually really great. The teachers get people really involved and have turned some less interesting subjects (in my opinion) really fun. My teachers wait outside and greet us as we come in. They are sooooo friendly. They sometimes play music as I come into class and I love it. Our principal(s) are outstanding and they really docare for the students. I was involved in the music program before outside reasons came into play. The instructors really want the students to grow and have alot of fun. The marching band always plays in the towns annual parade. The orchestra plays many different songs a year and sounds BEAUTIFUL.The choir has many concerts and has a great teacher. The athletic department is run really well. The school has some great athletes. They do well every year. The school has alot of different options for sports as well. These consist of football, volleyball, XC, track, wrestling, baskeball. The leadership class is run EXTREMELY well. They have monthly bulliten boards put up with information and fun things. The student council is well rounded and have the drive to take down any task. The class also attends confrences and leadership events across the state. The advisor is very thoughtful and brilliant. On a side note... the dress code targets females. Girls have alot less options to work with. When the guys do break the dress code as well, they arent dress coded. Changing the dress code has been brought up and is a possibility.-Evan
