Jinho is a great teacher and explains everything in a way everyone can’t understand no matter their experience. He works with everyone based on their skill set. highly recommend attending! I felt at home after my first class, everyone is welcoming and friendly.

Jinho Martial Arts Academy is a great facility that I would recommend to anybody.The Academy is a fun environment for both adults and children alike, and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable. They will take the time to work with you, regardless of your belt level or knowledge of the skill. It is an environment where everybody is treated with great respect. This trickles down to the students as well. Everybody I have encountered in the gym has everybodys best interest in mind. Professor Jinho is stunning teacher. He’s humble, friendly, and hard as nails.His jiu jitsu classes are informative, technical, and and impeccable for the new comer to the salty vet.He knows how to push his students without overwhelming them.Professor Jino has multiple championship wins in the IBJJF PAN AMS, and a winning record in Fight 2 Win. The fact that professor Jinho still competes and racks up wins should speak loudly to any new student thinking about joining his gym.I can’t say enough good things about this man, his students, and his gym. I cannot say enough good things about Jinho Martial Arts!! This place is absolutely fantastic. Not only are Jinho and Soojeong great instructors and wonderful people, but the individuals who train here are the kind of people you can trust.I started Jinhos adult BJJ class without having any previous combat training. Regardless of this, everyone still made me feel welcome, comfortable, and competent. Jinho took the time to explain things to me if I got confused and no one got frustrated if I needed to go slower when training. With that being said it is also one of the BEST workouts Ive ever had! We train hard and you will leave exhausted and sweaty.I would highly recommend Jinho Martial Arts to anyone (adult or child) looking to train in a great atmosphere with top tier instructors. This place is truly more than a gym, it is a home.

They are great with kids. My son attends the 3yr-7yr class and they are great at adapting on the fly and keeping the kids engaged. They focus on discipline, karate moves, and having fun. I’ve seen kids come for a tryout and go from shy-not-participating to laughing and engaged in less than 30 minutes.

My sons have been attending Jinho for two and a half and three years respectively. During this time they have made huge progress in jujitsu. They have also participated in their after school program which has been an excellent child care and activity program for them. Master Kim and Master Hyon are fantastic teachers for young and old alike. My husband has also picked up Jujitsu, and has been participating in the adult classes for the last year. He has developed a love of the sport, and provides him further opportunities to bond with our boys. Jinho Martial Arts is a fantastic family environment.

Love Jinho Martial Arts Academy! My 8 year old son has been taking jujitsu lessons for the past 6 months and loves it. The owners are great with the kids and it teaches them self defense and discipline.

I love this place because of the family that runs it. If you are looking for a place to help your child with focus, discipline, self control, confidence and self protection, this is the place. My 42 yo husband also does Jui jitsu here and it’s a fantastic workout for him. I feel so lucky to have after school care and jui jitsu for our 8 year old and little badgers tae kwon do for our daughter. This business has become our family.

Best Taekwondo and BJJ gym in the Grapevine area!! Coach Jinho is a black belt in both TKD and BJJ and teaches both kids and adults. Very family oriented but competitive gym atmosphere and Coach Jinho is very understanding and willing to teach people of all age groups. Come by and give it a try!

I’ve been a fan of the UFC forever, and more recently BJJ. After my most recent birthday I finally decided it was now or never. Like most new things, I was bit anxious, but not only was the instructor Jinho super welcoming and knowledgeable/professional, but so are the fellow students. It’s sounds cliche, but it really is like a family vibe. Everyone’s very nice and just wants to see you improve. I’ve only been going for a little over a month now, but I’m extremely happy with the overall atmosphere. I would rate it higher, however google only allows 5 stars, but for those curious, this is hands down, grade A Michelin of Jiu Jitsu.

I have been training under jinho for a few years now. I posted a review in the beginning, but so much has happened that I want to re-review.I have been training jiu jitsu for 7 years now, and thanks to work, Ive traversed multiple gyms. With my experience, I can say jinho martial arts academy is something special.This gym is like family to me. Jinho cultivates an atmosphere that is welcoming, encouraging, motivating, and safe. Over the years jinho has become a close friend of mine and his family is wonderful. I have nothing but good things to say about him, his wife, and his children.He treats all of his students like they are part of his family and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.Speaking of his students: everyone at the gym is humble, helpful, and genuinely care about each other. We build each other up, and no one is ever considered sub parr. Every student not only recognizes their strengths, but also their weaknesses. If you have a big ego, you will quickly lose it in this gym... And that is a good thing.Jiu jitsu is something that is very close to my heart, and has helped me through a lot of hard times in my life. I have not once regretted choosing jinho to guide me on my jiu jitsu journey.

Master Kim and his family have done a great job instructing students by Zoom during the Covid shutdown. My granddaughter looks forward to each lesson.

Jinho is great. I take BJJ from him and love training with him. He is a great instructor and always pushes his students to the next level. But as much as I love training with him and think he is a great teacher, he is even better with children. Happy. Smiling. Fun. But stern when he needs to be then right back to fun and excited. He and his wife are phenomenal with kids. They run a fantastic program. Very clean. Very wholesome. Definitely a family place. My kids love it. I love it. I’d give it 7 stars if I could.

This is the best Taekwondo school. The master and the teachers respect and teach the children. I would like to recommend this place to everyone. Master Kim is amazing and Master Hyon loves children. We love this place too.

I have visited this place yesterday. And spent about 30min. to watch the master instructor teaching his BJJ technique to his student. I personally think he is real deal!! really hard to find instructor like him in this area. Place was super clean. I cannot wait to start my first class starting from next week!!!

My child comes here after school everyday and loves it. Its been great getting to see how much he has progressed here. You can really tell they care about their students. Highly recommended.

Our son has been training at Jinho Grapevine for close to 5 months. He had no prior experience in Jiu Jitsu or any other Martial Art. He has already progressed to the next belt and I am truly impressed by what he has learned in such a short time. I sit and watch most of the lessons and cannot imagine a better teacher than Master Kim. It is a great school and I hope he chooses to keep with it as a foundation in his life. Teaching confidence, self discipline, self worth and physical fitness.

What an outstanding place to have your kids train in Taekwondo and Jiu Jitsu. Our 5 year old son started here in December of 2017 and our plan is to keep him here through high school, training in both forms of martial arts taught at the school. Our daughter will be next to enroll once she is old enough. Master Kim and Master Hyon are incredible with the kids. Their skill set is as great as I have ever seen. Just look up their accolades online to see what they have accomplished in their lives. They offer so much to the community with their care and direction for children. They have three of their own that are at the school during every class and you clearly see what a great job they have done raising their own children. We are so blessed to have Jinho Martial Arts Academy within a mile of our home, and also within a mile of our kids schools through High School. I was taught under Master Kim and Master Hyon and I could not envision my life without their guidance and teachings. JMAA is a fantastic place to learn martial arts.
