I couldnt believe the skills that my teenage daughters and I learned in our very first workshop. The Stevens instruction is excellent and focused on respecting the dignity of all people. They teach amazing and easy self defense techniques for every realistic situation you might find yourself in.

I recommend everything about Stevens Defense Academy! Nate and Tricia are very professional and well trained but are also super family friendly and great with our children. They are all about useful, real life techniques for self defense and dealing with bullying. We loved how you had everyone down on the mat from the first day!This is just the approach we wanted for our children. I grew up in a third world country with crimes of various kinds affecting me - wish I had known these techniques to use from time to time!!! I do and would recommend Stevens Defense Academy to any adult or child interested in learning how to deal with bullies and physical threats - whether to learn how to de-escalate a conflict or finish it in your favor =)

Great hands on experience with a group of people who make you feel welcome while gradually perfecting a variety of techniques rather youre young or old and in shape or not...something for everyone and definitely family oriented.

We spent several years doing TaeKwonDo at a different studio and have been convinced for life that Gracie Jiu Jitsu is the best and most practical martial art for self defense on the street. The Stevens are amazing instructors who explain the moves clearly and simply. We have learned so many skills for defending yourself against anyone who might attack you in any way. Its amazing! I feel more confident in myself and I almost feel sorry for any loser who might try to attack me. Seriously, they have moves for every scenario. Also, the Stevens have their priorities straight and know that protecting and defending yourself comes first and they teach situation awareness and avoid-the-fight techniques. Their motto is, Your life is worth defending, which I think is something more people need to realize nowadays. Their Bullyproof kids class is great as well. This studio really empowers people.
