Great place to get an education and I feel very fortunate that I attended here. Classes are smaller, the professors I had here were great, and the campus is beautiful. If youre older then the adult education program is perfect for getting youre college degree while fitting to your work schedule. The parking situation is also perfect compared to most other colleges. One other standout is the excellent library. Dont rule out Guilford because youve never heard of them. Its a great school period.

Excellent institution. Allows you to grow on your own. There are plenty of on campus opportunities and well connected off campus alumni partners. Best 4 years of my life! - Now an ER Doctor.

I was attracted to Guilford College because of its Peace and Conflict Studies degree as well as the small, close-knit community, beautiful campus, and absence of Greek life. Guilford was such a life-changing place that I cant even imagine what my life would have been like if Id chosen a different school. The professors are top-notch and they actually care about you and whether you show up for class or turn in your homework and I knew I needed that kind of personalized attention to succeed academically. What truly makes Guilford great are the people. The friends I made while I was a student will be with me for the rest of my life and I keep in regular contact with them even though its been almost 10 years since we graduated. People do really try to live up to the core values of community, diversity, equality, excellence, integrity, justice, and stewardship.

Love everyone here except Paulette Esdaille, the ONLY person who blatantly doesnt care about students, all she cares about is the money. Shes rude, doesnt listen to students and will never accept that shes wrong. Everyone else including admission and financial aid advisors are lovely and willing to help. Shes the one bad apple in the basket, sadly that makes the entire basket look bad.🤷🏻‍♀️

Im writing as a parent of a recent graduate.Wonderful school, and a great place for kids who have learning disabilities, as does my child. Indeed if you are looking for a place to send a kid who is different GC might be the place for them. Small classes, excellent support services, well qualified instructors, fantastic library. That the campus is beautiful is another bonus.Communication from the school was another plus, and questions for the most part promptly answered. The Financial Aid office is very good at guiding you through the maze that is student loan process. We were at a loss as to where to send our child after high school. He would have been overwhelmed by a large public university. For his unique set of needs GC was the right place at the right time.

Guilford College was a fantastic experience for me and a life changing experience. I received what I feel was the best liberal arts foundation and education in my major I could get. The school is tight nit and people know each other from students to staff. The atmosphere is very progressive and family like. The time there I did not only learn my courses, but my mind was opened to life in a wider world view. I looked at the world and problems differently. I learned to think critically, to analyze, to be logical and to approach the problems of inequality, for example, by not just individual charity, but by structural change in society. Psychological change in how people perceive liberty, wealth, and freedom. The whole American myth of oppression and opportunity and then the Me concept is so rampant the country is devolving and students are losing site of these ideals because student loans are driving them to the private sector, where creativity is crushed and debt is making them robotic. Now have PhD in Psychology [although told I would never even make through a MA] and a PhD in Philosophy.

I was given a hard time by Paulette Esdaille. She work in registry. I guess shes like God there because I tried to talk to someone that cared about people but shes all about money. I hope she gets to feel like something is her last chance and someone on the other end makes it harder for her to move up or on

Classes are great. Teachers are great. Administration is pretty focused on athletes though, seems strange for a Quaker College.
