I called Reto’s because we are looking for upscale catering for our wedding and they were referred to us by a family member. The young girl who returned my call was clearly inexperienced and should not be communicating with potential customers, but I carried on. I asked when we would be able to schedule a tasting prior to reserving our date (how do we know if we want them to cater our wedding without trying the food first?!) and was told that the tasting cost is $100 PER PERSON. I was so stunned by this number. I have spoken to several caterers and most don’t have a fee (as they shouldn’t), some do have a small reasonable fee, but I haven’t been quoted anything close to $200 for us as the couple to simply taste a few items. Maybe the food contains gold. In my opinion, the caterer should be eager to earn our business but obviously they don’t need it.

Since my very first phone call with them to the end they were professional kind and courteous and explained everything we need to do to make sure our catering experience was carried out. They did forget one of the items that we ordered and I quickly called them and they made it and brought it to our home. I highly recommend them over any other catering company in the triad. Thank you for a wonderful meal for a special birthday party!

I ordered from Reto’s for a lake excursion my business was hosting. Chris was very responsive and more than helpful when helping to determine best way to get the best serving temp and was very flexible with our pick up time. I would highly recommend Reto’s Kitchen

Reto is awesome! He is the best chef Ive ever met. He is so sweet and nice, and personable! And the different menus Ive tried from him are absolutely amazing! Best ever around! Do yourself a favor and use him for your next party or get together, you wont be disappointed! Absolutely love him!!!!!!

Reto catered a lunch for us this past weekend. We had 50 people attending a meditation retreat, and the catering staff who set everything up were extremely quiet in putting everything in place so as not to disturb the attendees in the next room. The vegan meal was wonderful! We could not have been more pleased with the quality, service, or the price for this exquisitely prepared and presented feast!

The service during the dinner and the food were excellent. However, we were quoted a price with tax and we were mislead. After the event we were given a different bill $150 more than what we were told was our final because one of their staff made an error in the quote which is no fault of ours. I pointed this out and it was handled poorly as we were still told we were responsible for the charges. That is poor customer service and we will not be using their services again because we do not like hidden charges.

I had a wonderful time at Retos Southern cookng class tonight. Wow!! Pimento cheese, biscuits, fried chicken, salad, collards, rice and gravy and banana pudding .YUM ..A nice size little class of around 10 allowed for hands-on practice ..we also had lesson in knife skills. Retos Home Cuisine has amazing gourmet to go meals! Check out the website for specials or just stop by and see his refrigerator and freezer. Our family loves his cheddar basil pie, beef tips, black bean cakes, ham biscuits, and potatoes au gratin. Honestly we have not had anything we did not like! We love to purchase meals there for those times when you need to take a meal to a family in need. A gift certificate also makes a wonderful present for someone local. You wont be disappointed!

Chef Reto was great at my party I held with a few friends. The interactive dinner party was lots of fun, and no one wanted to leave! The food was great, and he was able to give us information about food that people dont typically think about. I will certainly keep him in mind for any other catered events. Plus, the food we made looked AWESOME!!

Retos Kitchen catered my rehearsal dinner and wedding reception in Chapel Hill. We did a buffet for the rehearsal and heavy hors doeuvre stations at my reception. They made the planning very easy and all the staff I encountered were friendly and professional. Everyone raved for the longest time about how good the food was at my wedding! I highly recommend them and will be sure to use them again in the future!

Our experience with Retos Kitchen Catering was an unparalleled success! Reto catered our wedding reception for 150 guests in a venue without a kitchen. I dont know how they did it, but every dish came out cooked to absolute perfection and our guests are still raving about the incredible food and outstanding service. The staff was a dream to work with from the earliest planning stages to the event itself. Pricing was very competitive to other caterers we considered. Reto is an amazing cook and wonderful guide to good eating. A gift to Greensboro. He prepared a super meal for my extended family as a ramp up to Christmas week. We could not have been more pleased.

Retos has done a few office lunches for us over the years, and everyone always raves about the sandwiches. Last month, I decided to use their catering service for a graduation party and couldnt have been more impressed. The staff was professional and friendly. The food was not only delicious, but gorgeous. We ordered from the cocktail party menu. Each bite was perfectly garnished, and the buffet looked like a picture out of Bon Appetite magazine. ill be going to Retos again for our next party, and plan to stop in soon to try some of the take away meals they have for purchase.

I sent an inquiry for catering an event and his response was No, Im not interested. No explanation, no apologies, nothing. Very unprofessional and rude. I would think a catering company would want to cater an event since that is their business. Guess not. Will take my business elsewhere.

Retos is the place to go for catering, in home cooking, or take out meals. They always use the freshest and finest ingredients. The staff is well trained, friendly, and knowledgable. Reto and all the chefs are professional and can be entertaining as well.

I am baffled by the negative review given here.Reto has catered many events for us over the years. His food is consistently excellent. His philosophy of using exclusively local food pays off big, in the quality of his dishes, which are not only delicious but healthy. He also caters to special needs such as my requirement for gluten free dishes.Meals To Go are also a wonderful way to eat in with restaurant quality food.To top it off, Reto is one of the nicest people you will ever meet...always smiling and he makes you look forward to visiting.Keep it up Reto! All you need is to figure out how to get an area where we can dine at your shoppe!

We have had Reto to our home over the years for several celebration dinner parties. A ladies birthday party, a work gathering/cocktail buffet and the latest was a surprise dinner party with family and friends. Each function had a variety of menu selections and each party has been a huge success. Reto and his staff never skip a beat. There is never a moment that I need to ask for anything. Drinks are poured at the right time, appetizers are always ready and served and dinner is perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Thank you for making our gatherings special. You, Reto, add a festive addition to the party. I always feel like you are one of my guests! Your wit and interaction with our friends are part of the evening that I enjoy the most. My daughter was fortunate enough to spend a week with Reto at his French cooking camp. It was the highlight of her summer. We often stop in to grab their delicious prepared meals on our way home from work, so we were excited when we heard he would offer a cooking camp. Mydaughter learned how to make so many wonderful dishes. On Wednesday she served an unbelievable dinner to our entire family. On the last day of camp the students were able to showcase their newly learned skills by preparing a lunch for their parents. They even got to take home a cookbook including all of the recipes from the week. We will look forward to next summer! Thank you!!!

I made the decision mostly based on the huge variety of choices offered on their online menus.I worked mainly with Shelley through the setup and planning process. She was absolutely wonderful! This was not a huge event, but from the service I received I would never have known it wasnt the most important thing they were doing. She was helpful and knowledgeable about their menu, keeping within my set price range, and making last minute changes.Reto and Sarah came out to the event. They were on time and got everything ready very quickly. Set up was perfect, I didnt have to worry about anything. I showed them to the tables and by the time the guests arrived it was perfectly set, even with no kitchen or dedicated prep area. They were friendly.Everyone raved about the food, it was all delicious, well prepared and presented. Reto left half a dozen business cards on the table in a little stack, which was very helpful because I had quite a few people ask who had catered and I could just hand them a business card. Throughout the event they cleaned up empty plates and glasses and kept the food looking fresh. After the event they cleaned up and took it all away.The next day I received the invoice, no surprises. Everything was as expected and the charge for the extra hour I kept them was what I would consider very minimal.I will ask them to cater again for any and all future events!

Reto catered our wedding, we were so happy we chose them. Reto and Shelley were such great personalities to work with. Day of we had so many compliments on the food. Whether the shrimp spoons, salmon tartlets appetizers, the basil cream pesto chicken, or the herb crusted salmon, everything was just soooo good! Highly recommend them, one of our favorite vendors!
