Reedy Fork Early Learning Academy has been a blessing to our family from the moment we enrolled our son. They are like family and have taken such amazing care of our son while simultaneously preparing him for kindergarten! Their nurturing, kind hearted, and structured approach to learn has given our son an incredible foundation to build on. I love this school and I am so thankful that we found them.

My infant and toddler daughters started here about 6 weeks ago. They have never been in a childcare facility before. My mother cared for them while i worked. I started looking into child care because they need to be around people and children their age. I visited multiple facilities and they did not meet my standards. When I found out about Reedy fork early learning academy I called and set up a tour. The staff was very friendly. The first thing I noticed was that it is very clean. My toddler is already advanced but I know that she is learning more and building on top of the knowledge she already has. Just the other day I picked them up and she was counting in Spanish on the ride home. She loves going to “school” she loves her teachers and classmates. My infant loves her teacher and playing with her friends. RFELA was the best childcare facility that meets my children’s needs. I know that they are getting good care every day.

Do not use this daycare facility. It is worth the drive elsewhere. I wished we had listened to other reviews. We have been at the facility for 2 weeks and are already moving. We live in Reedy Fork and will be driving an additional 15 minutes to another daycare. They put on a good front during the tour. During our 2 weeks, my son had 3 different teachers in his classroom, there were mornings where there were 1 teacher with 11 kids. They say they open at 6:30 but all of the other teachers do not arrive until 7:30. My husband had to wait on someone to open the daycare one morning and most recently my child came home with different diapers on. It may not seem like much but they do not pay attention to details and make excuses for their actions. We had a conference where we voiced our concern and were told were being knit picky. We were told we couldnt be pleased and today would be our last day. The direct, site director, cook and some of the reviews with 5 stars below are all family members. If I would have known these things in the beginning I would have chosen a different facility.

My kids have been going to RFELA since they opened and we couldn’t be happier. They have treated us all like family and have promptly taken care of any issues we may have come across. Mrs Davis holds her employees to a very high standard which is something I value as a parent. Leaving your kids is never easy but knowing my kids are being well taken care of there really eases my mind.

He was and continues to be treated like family from the moment we walked through the door. Our daughter started going to Reedy Fork when she was 3 months old. Mrs. Davis and family run an excellent daycare full of loving care that we did not see at other daycares we looked at for our daughter. Being first time parents, we had many questions and concerns. Mrs. Davis was very supportive and patient and always responded quickly to our questions – either by text or email. She was always willing to meet with us when requested, and made sure our concerns were addressed with the staff. Our only concern has been the amount of staff turnover given a newer facility which is common, and a lack of effective communication with us regarding her changing nap schedule. But again, once we communicated our concerns, the staff is quick to adapt. They have even implemented a new communication system with tablets and online apps to share how her day is going. It really makes me feel connected to her while I am at work. Our daughter loves Mrs. Davis and her teachers and is thriving in their care. We feel our child is safe and in good hands – a feeling expressed by other parents we know who also use Reedy Fork - and we definitely recommend any parent looking for a daycare in the GSO area to check out Reedy Fork.

Our two youngest children went to this daycare very briefly in 2016. My husband and I had chosen to move our children from one 5 star center to a facility that is closer to our home because we had a 30 min commute in the morning and afternoon between dropping our children off and going to and from work. Anyway, when my husband initially found this place, we were very impressed. They, as well was a 5 start facility and they were new to the area and what we liked most was the curriculum that was taught and the religious aspect of teaching. When my children first started it was a rough transition, but it got a lot easier as the weeks passed. Then I started to notice that when I would pay my fee, there was always more than what I was told we had to pay. I was told a few times that one fee was repetitively being taken out and I asked about it, as well as why isnt my fee what I signed a contract stating what my fee would be, I was told that the system that they use for parents to make payments, we have to pay a fee to make a payment! Like wait what? So Im paying this system to take my payment? It was not the generic amount of a convenience fee that most places charge, it was way more than Ive ever seen a convenience fee be. That was the only way you could make a payment. In addition to that, I would ask who Im guessing was the secretary where are theses other fees coming from and she looking and was basically trying to figure out herself where the extra fees had come from. So I asked her to email me all that wed paid from the time the babies started to the present, so I could compare that with my bank statements, she said she would, but I never received that. Then around the holidays, they would just tell us the day before oh, make sure you come pick your child up by this time because we want to leave early, or theyd send an email like a day prior, not giving us any time to make provisions for our children to be picked up early. My dilemma I felt with this is, we received a list of closures when our babies first started and never did it indicate the days that they wanted us to pick our children up early. That should have initially been listed along with the dates they were going to be closed due to the holidays. That left us in a bad position, because we thought well are they going to treat our children mean if we cant get them so they can go home early? Now mind you because of the day that the holidays fell on this year, most people we know worked right up to the weekend. Most jobs didnt not close because the holiday fell on a Sunday. Then what bothered me the most was there was an incident where there was discussion as to whether I should drop my child off after being sick for half of the week, she was much better and only went on Thursday, and Friday when I went to bring her there was a loud discussion in the middle of the hallway while other parents were coming in and out as to why my child couldnt come. Now Im running late for work so I asked the person who was speaking to me loudly instead of pulling me out into an office to discuss what we had to discuss in a more private way, should I take my baby home to my husband who happened to just get off of work around that time that morning and her response in front of everyone was, well just leave her, shes here now.. That was so embarrassing how it was said and I felt they didnt want my baby there, so I took her home and was late to work. As the next couple of weeks went on, I dont know but something just didnt seem right, my little two year old would start to cry and say she didnt want to be there. The feeling I had when I walked in was of such a negative energy. This is suppose to be a christian-based private academy and when I think of Christ being implemented in all that they strive to do, I just did not see it. It seemed more money driven and greedy then trying to help people according to the word of God. So my husband and I made a decision to move the children back to the 5 start facility that they were initially in. Wed rather have that commute.

First thing I noticed about this academy was they are in a perfect location!! But before I could step foot into the facility they treated me like a second class citizen. Which immediately demoted this 5 star academy to a 1 star dump!

We love RFELA! You couldnt ask for better people to watch yourchild(ren). It is a loving family like environment that provides quality child care. Our son attended daycare there and now goes there afterschool. The Daviss are like grandparents to him. The facility is clean, the curriculum is excellent and they provide good wholesome meals for the children.
