Great school!! I passed the first time it took my NC Real-estate exam. The classes were flexible for my busy schedule and the cost was worth the high quality of the instruction. Teachers are knowledgeable and makes the learning fun. You will have to do a good bit of reading, but the instructors break it down so it is easier to learn! I highly recommend this school if you are interested in the Real-estate industry.

I took Jans pre-licensing course in February of this year. She is a phenomenal instructor. I was always very appreciative of her ability to take a concept being taught, and use numerous real-life scenarios from her past experience to bring the content together in a seamless way to help understanding. Her entire team of instructors and staff are great. Ive taken my post-licensing with Jan as well. Highly recommend!

I did all my pre-licensing, and post licensing, with Jan Secor. I will do my CE with them, as well. Jan, Christian, Wayne, and Victoria were all great teachers. I learned so much from each of them. And theyve navigated 2020 so well. Im now licensed, because of them, and recommend them to anyone. But you definitely have to do your part, if you really want your license. They can teach you, but you have to put the study hours in, yourself, if you really want to pass your exam.

Every class I´ve taken there has been great. The teachers keep everyone engaged, and use different activities to convey the material.

FANTASTIC experience!!I hadn’t been in a class room for decades and was so nervous about the course and taking testsBut, Mrs. Secor was such a great teacher because she is so knowledgeable about Real Estate and showed she cared about each of her students and wanted them to do well.Her personal examples helped me so much to understand the process. She kept everyone interested and was not boring. I was so scared of math but, she explained slowly in detail so even I could comprehend. The take home tests were the best study tools. Then we could discuss further in class!!I drove an hour to class and it was worth it. I will take post classes and CE also. You must STUDY!! STUDY!! If you do not pass it is your fault!! I have wanted to get my real estate license for some time now and when I started researching real estate schools someone mentioned Jan Secor School of Real Estate. I was also told about all the large schools in the area but as a local businessman who runs a small business I have found large is not always the best and I wanted a one on one education with a personal touch. I got that and more with Jan Secor. I can not recommend her enough. She is funny, informative, knowledgeable and an excellent educator who makes learning fun. I looked forward to coming to class each week as crazy as some may think that is. I passed my exam with flying colors and I am confident in my abilities to sit for the state exam and pass it as well. Excellent instruction, the best place you can go to in order to begin your real estate career. Jan is an amazing teacher and genuinely cares for all of her students to see to it that they all pass with flying colors. Jan Secor is such a great instructor! She is also fun! I enjoyed her class. She is always willing to help with questions and has a great interaction with students! I would definitely recommend her to others. I passed her class and i will be taking my post licensing courses with her.

I took my first post class with Jan the past two weekends. I couldnt work out the schedule with CB Triad and since I have had my first post and pre-licensing at CB Triad I was worried about how this would turn out. I cant say enough about Jan and her teaching style. She is so kind and easy to engage with questions and conversation. I will be back for my 3rd Post Class and CE is possible. It was well worth the extra drive.

There is no way anything negative can be posted about this business and it be 100% accurate. I have worked with this school for over 10 years and refuse to go anywhere else. Their attention to service is over the top. I remember my very first class where Jan had said I was the employer and her the employee. I needed to tell her what I needed and she would make it happen. Those who were not grasping the math, she set up an extra study session to ensure they got where they needed to be. She stayed on track and had an open door for any assistance or questions. Thank you Jan! Ill be back for continuing ED soon!

I do NOT recommend this school at all if you want to pass. I was very unsatisfied with the organization and how Jan presented the material. Jan is a very nice person and she is funny but she does not teach well. She got answers wrong on her OWN test she made for us to take home. She also brought in another person that was a broker to teach on days she couldnt be there and this person had no idea how to teach. It confused us all and made it very difficult to learn. The practice tests she gave us to take home and the tests in the book were not similar to the questions on the final exam. They were worded very very differently. Its like they are testing your reading comprehension more than you knowing the material. So be careful! We had 30 students in our class and 21 showed up for the retest. 70% of the class failed the first exam. Im not sure how many passed the retest.

I like the way she would group us together to review our homework. This allowed us to argue our point to why we thought an answer was correct. This definitely helped me remember the material a little easier.

Fantastic experience. I attended the night course while working full time. The instructor made the class interesting and fun where possible. She truly wants you to succeed and it shows in her delivery of the material. I highly recommend this school.

Highly recommended! It was my second time taking the prelicensing course (first time with Jan) and Im so glad I gave it another shot. Her explanations and examples are great which make the material easier to understand. She provides plenty of tools to prepare you for the test. Great interaction with students!

I had a great experience with Jan! I was taking my prelicensing broker course at night from 6-10 which I thought would be a struggle due to the long days. But I always looked forward to coming to class and learning from Jan. She teaches all the material you need to know & presents it in a way that helps you excel, as long as you keep up with your reading and do your work the entire course. I passed the course final exam on the first try with a higher score than I anticipated. Thanks Jan!

Excellent instruction from both the instructors Ive been in class with. Jan was fantastic guiding the class through my pre-license class and Steve Lawson has been great during the post-license classes and continuing education classes. I highly recommend the school.

WOW! I just LOVE me some Jan Secor!! Wonderful Woman!

Do NOT recommend. I signed up for this class a month in advance and I never received confirmation, a class schedule, if I needed to purchase a book, class attire, or directions to the facility, etc. I called them 5 times about getting a refund. I never received any information in regards to the course and I keep getting the run around about getting reimbursed. The assistant even told me 3 other people were requesting a refund. This place is completely incompetent and unprofessional!

Sooooooo I will say this...theres no one to blame but yourself if you dont pass!! She lets you know at the beginning that you need to read the book. If you are one of those people that wants it straight forward so you know what to do, I will encourage you to read read read!!If you dont like to read at least do the questions & everything she gives you!!Also, Id like to say this.....the people who dont like Jan wanted things to come easy...it doesnt. Focus, maintain consistency, & keep going as I told my classmates......When your why is bigger than your will....you will do whatever it takes!! Stay encouraged and keep going...Mrs. Secor will get you there!!!

Change teachers way too much and waste your time by letting firms come in to talk. You have to make a 75 to pass the test and I was texted that I made a 71 in reality I made a 73 so just makes you think what else they may miss especially since you dont get to see the test. Just a bunch of red flags thrown up but everyone knows what opinions are like so take it for whats its worth. 50% pass rating.
