If you care about care about your children education I recommend you find another school I withdrew my student after a month of my son constantly being targeted. staff fake it like they care and trying to help but I see right thru them

Its very fun i met a lot of friends and im normally very shy there are many clubs like the anime club, chess club, etc i just started there this autumn and its cool! there is a wide range of electives too the only bad thing is the dress code is really annoying.. like you have to wear belts always with pants or shorts and its annoying but its a pretty cool school

My years at Hughes academy was excellent and I was always looking forward to succeed in every class period I attend to. My friends and I never constructed a friendship, we constructed a family bond. As Hughes academy students we look up to succeeding and seeing our future selves with degrees in hand. Most of us try and we most often eliminate difficult task we are taken. Thats what makes this a great school. Its not the construction of the buildings that makes us better. Its us, the students of this school to see a better tomorrow. Their staff tries their best to make a better tomorrow in our lives and their lives, but we often though some times cant see it as we fight to see a better tomorrow. We fix our problem we create for someone else or ourselves. Thats what makes us better. Good technology, good staff,and try hard students. Im Henry Lemuel a student that learned much here before. You are a great school and I hope the best future for you and everybody else coming to this school.

100% do NOT recommend. Don’t send your kids to this racist, judgmental hell hole. There is a reason I’m not coming back for 8th grade. Lucky for me, I have the option, others don’t. If you actually care about your children’s life, listen to the rating. There is a reason this school only has a 2 and a half start rating.

The three years at this school have had there ups and downs like every school. With my first 2 years being great, the last year wasn’t as great. The new principal runs the school a bit different but it’s is still a great school. I took off one star due to the kids. They aren’t nice and when there is a problem it takes a while to get taken care of. I have a friend who is bullied, went to the admin and they haven’t done anything. I would send my kids here when the time comes. All of the 1 star reviews have been posted by students who don’t like school. This is a true opinion shared by many. I hope you enjoy being at Hughes.

The school is racist and has always been. Just like they are trying to move the neighborhood they are doing the school the same. How can you use black kids as target practice and then down play the situation like it was a mix of kids knowing that was not the case. And no matter how uncomfortable the kids are the teacher keeps his job. The entire school is unprofessional to say the least. But definitely this school has a race issue.

I will not recommend this school. The teacher is selfish and the kids who are good student and go to the beta trip , the principle told the kids dont worry about the assignment but the teacher try to improve the power and give the kids of beta club 55/100 assignment . I think the principle should look at the staff. It is horrible school.

This school is terrible annoying dress code, racism, teachers who think they have a lot of power, their food is terrible, I had a purple hamburger once, and there is purple chicken sandwiches, if you want to survive bring money and get the papa johns or bring your own lunch. go to any school other than this school my friend went to this school for one year and hated it so he transferred to beck academy where he has had a 20 times better experience. they teach you stuff you will never need in life, you get in trouble for the smallest things, everything gets blown out of proportion. The schools ok. Most of the teachers are kind, but sometimes the teachers accidentally lose your papers which is rare. but ROCK, you get in trouble for no reason like forgetting your lunch box. My daughter is a student here. And I expect the teachers and other faculty to give my daughter an education. But so far the only education that my daughter has received is how to defend herself. If kids do wrong, then they need disciplined and that also includes my daughter. I never dreamed that kids along with some teachers could bully.This is a disgrace.

Pretty much the sorriest school Ive attended. It was an ordeal to simply keep my sanity every day I went with their draconian system.

Decent School basically in the slap middle of nickle town. Contrary to what some other reviews may say, the teachers are generally good if you dont treat them like trash. My biggest concern is that the school advertised as The STEM school of Greenville county or something like that, however I think they only met that remark halfway as GTT class seems a bit underfunded, most computers are either a Chromebook or a 00s desktop, and school seems just a little underfunded in general, like cant paint the walls the same color or some lockers are bent. dress code personally, I didnt have a problem with though some kids make a big deal out of it.
