I currently have a child that attends this amazing center, she is six years old. The ladies at the front desk works in every inch of that place. The teachers really care about the kids, and take time to teach and nurture them. They say the good days out way the bad, but I can only say. If I had an issue or a question. Someone was always there to listen to my concerns; with an immediate plan of action taken place to resolve my concern. I appreciate everyone in this building. To ladies in the kitchen making meals, sanitation personal, teachers, management, and everyone in between! I thank you!

My granddaughter goes to this daycare and I have seen a difference in her behavior. Her mom calls me when she is taking her and she sings on the way there and on the way back home, one happy baby. I pick her up on Fridays and she has a lot to tell me about her week. The staff believes in discipline and that is number one for me. All children need guidance. The staff are friendly and the facility is always clean. I recommend this daycare to anyone that is looking for a safe and educational place for their bundle of joy.

We have been part of the Childs Place family since 2017. The staff is incredibly hard working, kind, and compassionate and they take wonderful care of our kiddos. We saw an immediate improvement in socialization and verbal skills with both children when they each started around 18 months. They come home happy and exhausted and excited to return the next day! I also have to give the school full props for the fact that our 5 year old is reading fluently before he even enters kindergarten (shout out to Kim and Denita in KP1/KP2)! The schools flexible hours have been a Godsend for us, as our work hours are sometimes long and unpredictable. Throughout Covid, the whole staff has worked so hard to keep everyone safe, happy, and informed and we are so grateful!

Both of my girls attend A Child’s Place and love it! We have enjoyed seeing them grow and create new friends here. The staff is always very friendly and helpful!

The front desk staff is not so helpful. I was not told about needing a 2 week advance notice for discontinuing day care. They told me right at the time when I said my child will not be coming to day care. They do not give you a lot of information upfront. Teressa is very unprofessional.

Make sure you get them to repeat everything they tell you about the non- refundable deposit. Especially, the part where they tell you that you will sign a document saying the $500 deposit is non-refundable but pay close attention heres the kicker I never signed a piece of paper. Pardon me if I was a little skiddish about putting my newborn in a place where Covid was spreading like wildfire. So Childs place thanks for the $500 tour. Instead of pocketing my check how about you give it to a childs parents in need of some money for a deposit. Thats the very least you can do.

The teachers and staff are friendly and kind. Never worry about how my daughter is treated when l go to work. My daughters creativity is on the high since attending the learning center. My daughter HOPE will soon be starting kindergarten at another school and I hope she will find the same kind of love and affection to flourish.

Teachers and Staff have been wonderful to my child. Highly recommend. Sad we cant find this high quality of a child care facility in Pennsylvania.

My son has been at this facility or the Walton Academy (same owner/manager) for about eight years. He loves going there. He loves his care givers. Ms Theresa is awesome and has been nothing but good to him. I don’t often write reviews but I am very glad to give them a positive one

I cant say enough good things about this place. My grandson recently started there and it has been nothing but exceptional. The staff is amazing. They are very personable and always greet everyone with a smile. I am amazed at how efficient this place is run. My grandson has been out sick and missed a few days of daycare. Teresa, who works there, called my daughter to check on him and see how he was doing. That meant a lot to me. Im glad my daughter has a place that she not only feels comfortable with , but one that we (grandparents!!) feel the same way...

I absolutely love A Child’s Place daycare!! The staff have became like family. My kids love all the teachers, even the ones who never taught them. The hours are perfect for my schedule, they have fun activities (not only for the kids but some the parent can get involved in), and they have creative learning curriculums. My kids have been here for years now and the after school and summer camp is awesome!! They have A1 teachers and facilities, which it has been for years when my brother use to attend daycare (over 15 years!!!). It’s highly recommended on my list!!

My kids have been there for many years. Everyone that works there knows my kids, and cares for them. Im always greeted by name. They can accommodate early mornings and late evening needs for the hospital staff. They also dont close when other centers close because of weather. If the hospital is open, so is Childrens World, because they serve the staff. Weve had a great experience. My kids will miss it.

Our son has been at ACP since he was 3 months old and has had such a great experiences. The staff is always so kind and friendly and he has always loved his teachers. I’d highly recommend this day care to any parent.

We love A Childs Place. We had a daughter who attended from 6 months old to 5 years old and a 3 year old son who is currently enrolled and has been there since he was 3 months old. Theresa Pratt shows so much dedication that it is easy to leave my kids at the daycare. She is always there when I drop them off and always there when I pick them up. She enjoys hugging on my kids and my kids love seeing her. Even though my daughter is currently in Kindergarten she still wants to tell Ms. Theresa about her day. We have enjoyed all the teachers and they have loved on my kids like they were their own. My daughter was very prepared for Kindergarten and it was through the hardwork and dedication of the staff. I would highly recommend this daycare to any child and family.

The other day we rode by a random daycare and my 4 year old asked What is that place? I told him what it was, and he said we should try that daycare. I told him absolutely not, you go to the best school in town, you have the best teachers, and there is no one like Mrs. Theresa!We have two children there and would not dare send our children to another place. The staff there love our children like they are family, everyone who works there knows both of their names and always have. Theresa Pratt, the director, pours her heart and soul into those children. She is one of the hardest working women I know, works 12+ hours a day, 5 days a week! In her personal time she has sought out resources to help our oldest when he was struggling in class, gone above and beyond what we ever expected and is a constant encourage to him and us.If you get the opportunity to take you child here, please do so, theyre amazing!

My son started here 3 weeks ago and we have had a very satisfactory experience with them. The teachers have unbelievable patience and passion in their work. This place is open earlier than others and closes late, which is convenient for hospital staff. We are very happy with this place and would recommend this to anyone.

My child attended A Childs Place from 6 months - 3 years. A Childs Place has incredible teachers from the infant room through preschool. Each teacher treated my son like their own. Over the years his cognitive, social, and motor skill development has been outstanding. I highly recommend A Childs Place. After six months, we switched back to A Childs Place! Our sons behavior had progressively worsened at his new school and he wasnt learning. He was a different child. Teresa (Center Director) let us return and within a few short weeks, we had our son back! We have now been back a few months and are thrilled with his progress. He loves going to a A Childs Place and all his teachers. Thank you Teresa, Kim, Ms.Martha, and all the teachers how have helped him grow! Even during these trying times I have been comfortable with my child being in their care. From the very beginning Teresa put in place strong safeguards ABOVE and BEYOND those required by the state. Teresa, Kim, and the teachers have gone out of their way (including putting their own health at risk) to keep our children happy and healthy! I appreciate all of you!

We have been at the center for almost 4 years and cant imagine being anywhere else. The staff truly love the children and become family. Our son has learned so much, runs in each morning smiling ear to ear and excited to start the day with his favorite teachers. I always feel informed and comfortable knowing my son is in a safe place and being loved while I have to be away from him.

My two children have been going to A Childs Place for over 5 years and they enjoy attending. The daycare has a wonderful Pre-K program as well as a School Age Program. From day one, we have been treated like family. We are greeted each morning with a smile and a joyful, good morning! and each evening with a kind, have a great night! Not only is the facility clean and well-equipped, but the hours are unbeatable for hospital/ECU parents who work long days (6am-8pm). Our personal experiences with our son and daughter have been very positive--especially with the centers director Miss Theresa and assistant director Miss Kim; teachers Miss Toni, Miss Juanita, Miss LaTonya, Miss Jordan, Miss Martha and more; and in-house chef, Miss Sandy. These woman have nurtured and loved our kids, helped their personalities shine, taught them manners and fundamentals, created a fun space to learn, and so much more. Thank you to ACP staff for providing a safe, loving environment for our little ones!

Childrens World has been a great experience for my family. Im very comfortable leaving my child because I know he will be well cared for. Additionally, the staff is very accomdating to the individual needs of students. As a parent were always scared to leave our child in the hands of others. Childrens World has calmed my fears and cared for my child as if he was one of their own!

A Childs Place is AMAZING!! My husband and I are both residents at the hospital and cant imagine making it through residency without ACP. Their 6AM-8PM hours are unbeatable and despite the fact that weve needed every single one of those minutes at times and have been the first and last parents to pick up our baby, there has never been any judgment or frustration on the staffs part. We have a 10-month-old daughter, who has been enrolled there since she was 2 months old, and she has absolutely thrived there. Every morning when I drop her off, her face breaks into a huge smile and she is so excited to see all of her teachers and friends. Even though the kids are assigned to one room, they get to know all of the teachers, who help out and are fluid throughout the center, which I love. We would definitely recommend ACP!!

An amazing facility! Teresa P. and Kim truly care for all of the children there. My two boys love going to school. All of the teachers know them by name and make them feel special everytime they see them. I know my children are in good hands there! They both have learned so much, not only academically, but in everyday life as well! Couldnt imagine anyone else caring for my children while I work!

This daycare is awful!!! I would not recommend to anyone who send her/his kid over there. The management really sucks! One of the teachers ( i do not want to write her name)over there ;her behavior was really bad, and I am not sure if she is showing racism. But her behavior towards my daughter and me was so bad!! And i do not know if its because my husband is a doctor, she speaks politely when she sees my husband. She acts as if she is the owner of the daycare. And comes late too. My daughter had subluxation the third time at the daycare and they seems to tell they do not know how it happened. Why do they hire such teachers then?? The staff (do not know her name but the one at front desk) ; she knows to downplay very well!! We stopped sending our child because she is precious to us and WE PAY !

My 3 year old son has been at A Child’s Place for 4 months, and I am amazed at how much he has learned. His teachers really care about him and he adores everyone there. Teresa is amazing with all the children, including mine.

My 2 girls went to ACP from 10/2009-8/2017. They are now in school and were definitely prepared for Kindergarten thanks to the staff at ACP. My girls knew 3D shapes, counting and letters before even starting school. The teachers help to provide structure and teach respect. We are getting ready to enroll our third child here and wouldnt put him anywhere else. The teachers and staff treat my children like family.

We love A Childs Place. We have two children enrolled and couldnt be happier. I feel that ACP has gone a long way toward getting my children ready for Kindergarten. We are staying with the center and will be enrolling in the Kindergarten as well. We are looking forward to seeing what Kindergarten brings.

My son went here up until the day my wife walked in on a daycare worker verbally abusing him and man-handling him. The staff pushed infants around the floor with their feet. I went back to the day care to watch the video recording for that room and was surprised to see more things that were unacceptable. For example I saw a daycare worker pick my son up by one arm over a foot off the ground to put him into a seat. The director, Teresa made excuses and down played the entire ordeal. The daycare is dirty and the staff didnt spend quality time with the kids doing activities. Our child would come home with other babies pacis. Our friend had a child in the infant class and when she came to pick him up they were feeding him another babies bottle. There was also an instance when someone picked up their child and he was laying on the floor, sick. Fever was 104 and they never called the parents. They have a lot of work to do to get their facility straight. I hope things like this dont happen to another child.

My daughter had a hard time adjusting to ACP for about two weeks, but with communicating effectively with her teachers and director she was able to transition well. I appreciate all they do. Im confident that she will be ready for kindergarten with their help. ACP is very convenient for my work schedule at Vidant. The pre-k program is excellent!
