Everything you need to know is online. All forms can be printed before coming in. There were 3 people working. Only a few people there so no wait at all. The woman who helped me was very nice and efficient. Was in and out in 15 minutes. It was great.

This district is terrible because I don’t like the fact that new kids come to Prarie Middle school but I’m not able to go back even tho my name is in the district I don’t understand I have to email a lot of people just to go to school I am tired and they need to fix that it’s not fair to let people go to school but not me.

I called this office this morning to find out what I needed to get my son registered for school as we just recently moved to the area. I was told to bring in the info that I had and what I didnt have they would get from his previous school. After waiting 3 hours in line the clerk tells me that information was incorrect and that I needed to come back wih all documents. I explained to her that I had called ahead of time to ask the specific question and have waited in line for 3 hours. The clerk looks down at my lease agreement (ome of thenrequired documents) and says Well did you move in on said date? Well you shouldnt of waited so long to get registered! I will be sure to make several complaints about this tacky clerk. I certainly hope the school has much better personnel than this office!

The two visits I had to make to this office today made my last trip to the DMV look like a party. After having very positive experiences (read as no problem at all) registering my kids with both Aurora Public Schools and Mapleton Public Schools through the years, I was appalled at how uncooperative and unhelpful the Cherry Creek School District is when we decided to enroll our son in our home school to finish the 6th grade school year. They literally reduced me to tears as I was trying to enroll my son in the district to receive the public education that he is legally entitled to. Before you think that maybe they were swamped, etc - no. I was the only person there. Our lease renewal (with a 2019 expiration) for our verifiable 5 YEAR rental history at our house wasnt good enough to establish residency DESPITE the request on the enrollment form for the landlords name and number that specifically SAYS for verification. When I pointed that out and asked if she could just call - its a professional management company, not a private person - she actually rolled her eyes and huffed: No. We cant!Same snotty woman (on my first visit) tells me that three pieces of mail will work and says dont you have ANY loose mail in your CAR?No, actually. I dont KEEP mail in my car and, since our mail goes to a PO box (which I could show), that wouldnt have helped anyway. We have 5 checking accounts (business and personal) but they will only accept ONE bank statement. My cell phone and credit card bills only have the PO box. We dont get an Xcel bill. My trash bill wasnt good enough because even though it has the service address, it bills quarterly (and the statement they sent me showed it was paid through 1/30/18) and they want it within 30 days. Ditto for my car registration, car insurance, and renters insurance. I explained the entire situation and she stared at me like a cold fish. I finally left.Back at home, I started sifting through my options. Our cable bill was acceptable. I was able to use one bank statement but I had to spend over an hour trying to find the third source.I finally had to call the water company and ask them to run a special mid-month statement that they manually added the service address to and even THEN the woman in the admissions office (a second one, not as unpleasant but still no award winner) tried to reject it because it showed the mailing address as the PO Box. When I pointed out the service address, they finally accepted it but they were far from cheerful about it.The moral of the story is that the people seem much more interested in keep students who are legally entitled to an education OUT of their district than they are in registering them, and have no problem coldly refusing to make any concession to help. Finally, yes, I do know that the district has rules, but I also know that there has to be a method for them to work with families who CANT jump through their hoops. Otherwise, how would the homeless families on their demographics information get registered?

This place is a wreck, I went there 5 times trying to register my son because they were so misinformed.. moved and went to Aurora public and I got it done in one day with less hastle.. If you have to go here call them over and over again to make sure you have everything you need because they need more than other admissions offices and they will waste your time if they can to get you out of there.

Horrible staff, they are rude. I waited extra time because they dont check the numbers after called so people were just jumping ahead. I brought everything I was told to bring and still got turned away, apparently a lease showing Im an occupant isnt enough .My work schedule is conflicting with the admission office. I totally get people lie just to send their kids to a different school district, but if I was going to lie, it would be to send my child back to Adams 12 schools.
