My son attend for two years until we moved. Great school with caring teachers. Montessori is the best. It teaches kids independence, self direction, responsibility, and encourages their natural curiosity. At the same time hes completing work at a higher level than his cousins in public school. He says he loves school regularly. I never said that as a kid.

My son absolutely loved his time here! They are extremely caring and offer a well rounded curriculum and I know for certain that when my daughter is a little older that I will be enrolling her here as well! We all know how hard it is to trust someone with our children but this place eliminated all those fears! Is it a little expensive yes but it is 1000% worth every penny! We love this place!

I have known the owners of this school for many years as both a teacher and a parent of children who attended a Montessori school. They are not only wonderful caring people, but amazing educators as well. GMCH is a terrific Montessori school. The educational philosophy behind this school is truly child-centered. The children are given many hands on learning experiences at their own developmental levels that helps them gain independence and knowledge of the world around them. I would highly recommend GMCH for anyone looking for a Montessori school with caring knowledgeable teachers and an environment where learning is limitless.

My daughter has attended this school since she was 4 months and she is now 4 years old. She is advanced beyond her age and development due in part to the care and instruction that she has received. Tim, Julia, Anita, Miranda, Amanda, Sarah, Mallory, and Justin are some of the amazing staff that we have been privileged enough to have working with her over the years. GMCH embodies the Montessori methods that are perfect for rearing independent, problem solving, and curious children. I am so thankful to this school for giving our daughter her best chance in these formative years. We love our GMCH family!

Both of our children had a wonderful time here and outperformed nearly all of their peers when they went on to a new school. Excellent style of learning that you won’t find in a public school.

Our family had a very poor experience here. It did not start out that way, but progressively got worse. Poor communication, lack of staff, lack of hygiene, missing belongings, the list goes on. We were so excited to be at this type of a school, but ended up realizing what we thought was the best thing, was the worst thing! Just be sure to investigate thoroughly prior to enrolling your child here.

Over the past many years, it has been my immense privilege to watch Tim and Julia, along with their dedicated staff, consistently provide a ‘children’s house’ that fosters a deep love for learning and simultaneously inspires its children/students to work to their potential. Amazing, especially knowing that they have literally impacted hundreds of lives in wonderful ways! You will quickly discover that Greenwood Montessori Children’s House (GMCH) is a compassionate, safe and creative environment where your child/children will thrive in heart, mind, soul, and strength (cf. Mark 12:30)—GMCH is a special place where life is truly celebrated and joy is found. Thank you Tim and Julia; and thank you Anita, Tim’s mother, who has been with them from the beginning and deeply involved with the Montessori learning process for the past twenty-eight years. I only wish there were GMCH’s planted across the country. We’d all be better off!Pastor Craig

Leaving 1 star because I cannot leave 0.I feel I owe this honest review to all parents considering placing their child at this Green Leaf Montessori aka Greenwood Montessori Children’s House child care facility. My child attended from December 2019-August 2021. We ultimately pulled him out with no back up child care because things got so severe. The problems that led us to leave the school included staff overturn with no communication. This school cannot maintain staffing. There were many days I felt hesitant and uncomfortable leaving my child because it would be 1 teacher with way too many children infant-5 years old in the morning. There were days I showed up to the school and no one was there at all and I had to call and wait for staff to arrive.Communication was a huge problem with this school. Not only did they not communicate when they had no staffing and the administrator was caring for the children, they didn’t communicate that they were moving to a new location in a new area until one month before they are set to relocate. I was drastically over-billed numerous times and had reached out multiple times for weeks before receiving a response and was never credited the money. I had to dispute the charges with my bank and block the school from charging my account. I am still out $250. Some of the teachers did not appear to be trained or even knowledgeable about children. Early on, my baby was send home with his diaper on the outside of his onesie. The response was that they demonstrated how to change a diaper and the individual would remain on staff.Almost everyday that I picked up my son he had dried stool stuck to his bottom. This caused severe bleeding rashes that always cleared up over the weekend and returned by Monday. He would cry because he didn’t want to be made to sit on his bloody bottom. At pick up I would have to change him right there before I left trying to get off as much as I could then soak him in the bath once home. This was a discussion I had with them regularly. There were several days that I walked into the center and saw children crying. Staff was not comforting or reassuring the child(ren) and I would take it upon myself. My concerns were never addressed in a timely fashion. It was very upsetting to see Julia Hittinger (the administrator and owner) posting to social media groups hourly while she was watching the children but couldn’t respond to my concerns for weeks and the responses I got were insufficient.Today I messaged the school to tell them I would be there to pick up his belongings at X time. When I showed up they had thrown out his belongings and could not account for his $100 medication. They stated they have no idea where it could be. This is not a mild medication and has severe side effects that we have to closely monitor him for. The director and all staff took no accountability for this and were not concerned.I regret keeping my child there for so long. My child has a speech delay and it frightens me to think of what’s happened that I’m not aware of. I sincerely think this school should be under investigation.

If back to back positive reviews al within the last 3 days don’t raise a red flag then I don’t know what does! Theyre literally asking people to leave positive reviews so their rating doesn’t go down and so they can hide the negative reviews surfacing on Facebook

My daughter has been attending GMCH since she was 4 months old. She has grown so much through their instruction and care. We love their approach of the older kids helping the younger kids. Seeing her grow has been such a joy and we are grateful to GMCH for their experience and support.

My son will be attending for his 3rd year this year. GMCH has become such a big part of our life! It has been amazing to watch my son grow and thrive with their care, support and guidance. They have had flexible options available which is great for my family. They work hard to bring families together and create a supportive village. My son is so happy to go to school and I know how important that is in laying the foundation for future success. We would most definitely recommend for any family!

Small family run school. The staff are caring and very attentive with the children. My son has blossomed since joining GMCH. My husband and I are so happy to drop him at school without any concerns for his well-being or safety. The school stays active on Facebook so I get to see regular updates about my son which makes my day! I would highly recommend this school to prospective parents. The Montessori approach truly inculcates a sense of independence in children. It also makes them faster learners in my opinion. Tuition is very similar to good daycares in the area so youd be better off picking this Montessori school than the traditional daycare.
